Polkadot was founded by the Web3 Foundation, a Swiss Foundation founded to facilitate a fully functional and user-friendly decentralized web, as an open-source project.
Its founders are Dr. Gavin Wood, Robert Habermeier and Peter Czaban.
Wood, the Web3 Foundation’s president, is the most well-known of the trio thanks to his industry influence as Ethereum co-founder, Parity Technologies founder and the creator of the smart contract coding language Solidity.
Habermeier is a Thiel Fellow and accomplished blockchain and cryptography researcher and developer. Czaban is the Web3 Foundation’s Technology Director. With a wealth of experience across highly specialized fintech industries, he is currently helping to develop a new generation of distributed technology.

Really intriguing web3 and its workings and how would it be playing out once those features will be ready for use how will it place polkadot among its competition and what are the biggest layer 2 utilities that will be running on web 3

Web3 Foundation Being a good foundation, its reputation is known to all investors. I take it very seriously.Hopefully the dot coin will be the best coin investor after Etherium. The best thing is that it has stacking in the Binance Exchange. Investors need to know this as well as the identity of the founder.

As Polkadot is now one of the top favorite coins to the maximum investors, crypto lovers, it's now a hot topic in social medias, forums etc. So, hidden or unread subjects are now coming to the lime light. I have also come to know about this project after hype. :)
