Title: WBTC is top1 on Coinmarketcap? Mistake of Coinmarketcap

It's a bit of surprise when I visit Coinmarketcap: WBTC is top 1 with market cap of $432,949,247,432,865,664 ^^
Perhaps this is the fault of Coinmarketcap ...

My friend thinks this is a Coinmarket conspiracy to promote the WBTC.
And you, what do you think?

Everything is OK again, maybe Coinmarketcap has an insider on the AltcoinsTalks forum to read our topics here :)
I think this is just Coinmarketcap's fault, but I like your conspiracy theories. Coinmarketcap is also currently a promotional channel for DeFi projects.

It is not the first time something like this has happened. Logically they are always specific problems that are solved immediately. I could not buy this token:

No yet really fine.

I think it was just a simple promotion in a short time hundreds of thousands users could see that. Then for the first time the users will become interested about wbtc.

Yeah, may be a bug, typo or clerical error or maybe it would have been sponsored by some whale, who knows. But i hope ckc will follow the professional path and not chase money and devalue their platform.

I have just checked coinmarketcap and it is normal, Bitcoin is the top rank of crypto. ANd now BTC right there. Probably it was an error when you click it first. Please refresh on the site or to know the chance of the website program. Have you got it?

Currently everything is stable and we see the interface of Coinmarketcap in a normal state. But I quite believe this is not a bug, it is a feature to promote some projects like WBTC ^^

It may be, a "mistake" that curiously promotes something that should not be there... Considering that Coinmarketcap is a Binance store what you say does not sound strange at all, more evident things have been seen for a long time, but at least they said publicly that it was a mistake or a joke.

maybe they were trying to joke but it's not yet April fools day lol. No doubt that was some kind of a bug because the market cap was so huge $400 quadrillion and the supply was also huge, the price of WBTC should around $0.0000001. ;D

It was wrong data, and now I see it is back to normal.  WBTC's Capitalized Volume is still way below BTC, it would be very unbelievable if that just happened.

No one knows this, whether it's a conspiracy or not, but I tend more to the error, because people tend to make mistakes, so it was most likely as a system failure in the CMC system.

It was only an error system. The menu right now shows the early sig and also shows its normal display. At that time it was surprising, however, after checking, it was surely an error by hitting that amount only and can be in the first rank.

Of course it is a mistake or an error, Bitcoin should be the first place. Don't worry, it should be fixed by coinmarketcap very soon. I think coinmarketcap isn't in a time to surprise people because it is not the right time to make a surprise. So, we can conclude it is just an error.

Of course, WBTC was included in the top1 Coinmarketcap for a while, it could be a fault of Coinmarketcap or an error system.

It is already clear that WBTC shouldn't be the number 1 on Coinmarketcap. It was a real error or mistake, so don't believe if that coin already passed Bitcoin and other top coins. It is not really surprising if there are some errors, we are in the digital world, nothing is perfect and everything can happen.

I think that this thread is better locked, moreover, it has been clear that the site of Coin market Cap at that time was an error and now it is fixed and back to normal. BTC is always number one and this is never passed yet. So, it must be only a little mistake or a joke enough

But if that happens, visitors to the page will be surprised and ask why it happens so often, I hope this joke will not be repeated in the future, because it involves trading volume data for all coins and is seen by all investor,for now I prefer see coingecko.

Just another plain technical error on the part of CoinMarketCap and this is just an ordinary thing which can can happen to any online platform. Ditches are quire normal when you are online especially for an aggregator sites like CMC where data and information are constantly changing every second. Anyway, WBTC has the same value as BTC so maybe their algorithm got confused.

Wrapped Bitcoin top number one position a common mistakes of coinmarketcap. Now bitcoin is the number one position in the coinmarketcap ranked list.

Actually it was a temporary mistakes on coinmarketcap. After few minutes they corrected. I can remember, previous year there was new coin named' toilet tissue' became the number 1 rank with this type of same mistakes.  Sometimes we can see such rediculas ranking in coinmarketcap. That's why we think it as simple error of CMC.  :)

With a small emission, some tokens may overtake bitcoin in price, but will still be inferior in capitalization.  And due to a technical error may be on the first line for a while.

It could also be like that because business competition in cryptocurrency is extremely tight.
Coinmarketcap after being acquired by Binance is very unfriendly in my opinion because there are so many buttons to choose from and makes the website difficult to access with low internet power.
Moreover, there is a visible bug where WBTC outperforms the market from BTC and this is an oddity that is not worth seeing.

I think it's a common mistakes of coinmarketcap and some exchanges too. But later instant wrapped Bitcoin dropped it's original position. I think it's. Critical tricks of coinmarketcap team management.

Well this is not the first time this is happening in coinmarketcap, this same thing happened with that toilet paper token which was placed above bitcoin and was the number one token in the list but after a while it was removed so I guess it's either a mistake or a conspiracy to help promote the token.

most likely there was a glitch in the coinmarketcap system, it happens to them, on April 1 they joked and the toilet paper token was in the first place))

It has been clear enough and now it has been normal. Why don't you lock this thread? It seems to be a stagnant thread where we cannot find the update. ANd coin market cap had something wrong is really normal beau this is the system that may be error
