We already experienced a good year for the crypto market in 2020. Since the beginning of the year, we saw the improvement of crypto market. This improvement was basically along with the increase in the quality of the existing bounties. In 2020, I noted more bounties that really paid their participants and the number of rewards was a bit worthed than in 2019. Unfortunately, I concluded the number of bounties was decreasing than in 2019. Now, the question is how about the bounties in 2021? Do you think the bounties in 2021 to be better than in 2020? Let's discuss it!! ;)

Basically, if everything will be alright, things might change from static to more dynamic bounties. First, the world must conquer the current challenge in order to live the normal life again.
This 2021 will be much better year than 2020 cuz this is the year of breakthrough for everyone outside and inside cryptocurrency ecosystem. Definitely, there are a lot of bounties and development.

We have experienced a bad time of bounty after the market fall from 2018 to 2019 last. 2020 was the starter of good time for bounty and till now it is pleasant level but the golden time we have passed till the end of 2017. Now few bounties are coming regularly but not satisfactory level of earning for the participants. Projects are now more miser than past for the bounty payment amount and payment. Maximum time they ignore payment after project completion. Over all, we are at least satisfied for bounty situation.

In my opinion, the bounty at the end of 2020 and early 2021 is only a little, I mean not as much as it used to be but it has value (it can be sold on the market at a hefty price) although sometimes there is also no value after the distribution of tokens from the bounty is complete. I hope that this year there will be more bounties, especially in this forum with mature projects, so that our work is not in vain.

I think bounty will be fine this year because of the healthy market. Bitcoin is becoming really expensive so I think those little investors will shift to Altcoin because it is much cheaper to purchase. The only problem that I could see is the scam projects which is really difficult to identify by both the hunters and investors.

I must admit 2020 wasn't a good year for both bounty hunters and everyone around the globe, I bet the pandemic reduced the amount of crypto projects that were supposed to be out last year also due to the DeFi hype they were less real crypto projects, everyone was just all bent of DeFi, but 2021 might be better who knows, I just hope we will see good bounty projects this year. :o

I think that the trend will continue and the bounty pools will decrease every year. Before launching a bounty campaign, advertising managers will probably monitor forums and see that people are ready to participate in bounty campaigns for little money. Hence, small budgets arise.

Till now i have not seen a good project with decent budget in this year though it is just 2 weeks since the new year started so hopes are still there and we need to stay positive and with booming market we can expect good projects and campaigns popping up this year.

I really feel positive about this year's bounty...
I hope 2017 will happen again and this year maybe many bounties are paying hunters and their tokens will be very expensive. The bounty will remain profitable as long as we are focused and serious.

I don't think that the bounty will be the same as in 2020, hopefully, this will be better. Moreover, this year is supposed to be bullish market. So, commonly many new projects will be successful enough. And in this case, we can see how some good projects will be exactly developing

I expect the bounties will be more trusted in 2021 because many projects have IEOs. In this way, we will have the payment in the tokens that already listed in exchanges. People will get the payment in the correct way from the bounties that have IEOs. I saw many projects which have bounties, already did IEOs.

I would prefer a little bounty but pay rather than too much but not pay.

i think bounty projects are getting more silly and dominant. the project owner at the beginning always appears a good and gentle person seeking the help of the bounty community to project and market his product. fortunately, the same person turns to a heartless and stingy person at the very end of the project bounty and decides to change every decision regarding bounty payments.
i think 2020 was good for bounties but this was as a result of the crypto bull market. just like that of 2017 when everything was moving up. also i can count the number of projects that paid and those that turn out to be scam.

I probably feel different from you. Since around Q2 of 2020, I think that we can find out many legit bounties. I have joined several bounties and since the Q2of 2020, I can really get enough payment. Although the reward was not as high as what happens in 2017 however at least we can still really get the rewards. hopefully, this year is the bull season so that many good projects can be increasing.

What do you mean? Not all bounties like that, you don't deny that sone bounties really paid their participants with a good amount money. There should be bad or scam bounties because the scammers always there. So, it depends how good we can analyze and choose the bounties to join.

I think sir, yes it will become better than the year 2020, due to I have seen most of the bounty campaign so far are also doing good and very active as well to all social media to promote their projects. And if I'm going to compare and observe them all it was really nice and convenient to participate in most bounties at the moment, based on my assessment only.

Bounties become better day after day in this bullish trend. I think we are in a good situation although there are not many bounties currently. However, it is better to have a few bounties that really can pay the participants, than having many scams bounties that never pay the participants.

True be told. i personally think that bounty will do exceptionally Good. it depends on the hands on bounty managers and greedy project owners. this is my opinion. bounty will be successfull but project owners will always be greedy and refused payment as always. personally, i am gradually leaving campaigns and moving fully into trading.

With the recent happening in Crypto early this year it's clearly shows that this year is a good year for crypto and crypto activities, actually price will continue increasing and also project owners will actually realize alot of profit this year and thus helping them launch bounties and enabling them to pay too.

^Yep good condition in the crypto market should be very helpful for project owners. With big demand and good increases in crypto prices, they can have a bigger opportunity to have a good budget for their bounties. Moreover, if the project owners are the professional investors or traders of Bitcoin or top altcoins, too. :D

I also participate in BountyDetective signature campaigns but most of them have small trading volume and price is only 1% -10% of the token price in Token-Sale. Slightly disappointing, including some failed projects like KingCasino or HOMT. Hope in 2021 we will have more valuable bounty campaigns & reputable bounty managers.

can't predict for sure. most legit there is in 2017 but at the moment I think the bounty is starting to crawl to better things. hope that 2017 will be repeated again where the project banyuak pay according to even a large increase.

Three years is too long for a fast-growing industry, so I wouldn't be so sure. Perhaps in 3 years, bounty campaigns in the usual form will not exist at all.

So far there are not much valuable bounty campaign at all. Only few appear daily. Even less should be considered joining. That is strange, because this year (and previous) ended with overall price growth. That should stimulate new money to appear in crypto.

However, we should agree that the overall situation with bounty campaigns has improved both last and this year. There are much fewer fraudulent projects, and their quality has improved. This is positive. The only reason why 2019 had lots of bounties is because of the scammers. Bounty hunters and bounty managers have grown enough able to identify which one is useless of time. I left doing bounties in the year 2019 as most of I joined turned scam or failed to achieve their soft target and it demotivates me but I started bounties again in the last month of the year 2020 when I saw good bounties are there and paying as well and we know the current scenario of the market as most of the coins are booming so this is the best time not to miss the bounties. I believe if the market remains good like now we can expect good projects otherwise we will see again a bad phase of bounties where we will receive coins just worth some pennies.

Too many scam projects in 2019, many suspicious projects have sprung up and wasted time. The number of bounty participants is increasing and the pool is small, I list at least 50 scam projects in my spreadsheet. 2020 DeFi project appeared which in my opinion was better than the previous year, participants seemed to be limited to several bounties and that is a good thing. 2021 also continues last year's trend around DeFi.

I think in year 2021 will be one of the best year from all because market is too much high and there is chance for every bounty projects successful. so if any bounty team do not make scam, all project will be successful which has good portfolio. But problem will be gas fee for bounty hunters which is very much aggressive at this time.

I see myself more as an investor and for some time now I have also decided to only make bounties if the idea of the project has really convinced me so that I will invest in the project.
Don't get me wrong, I made a lot of bounties in the past, so between 2017-2018,but most of the crypto, and quite a lot, I got out of when I invested.
And I don't regret having had the experience, even if many projects went under.
Right now, when I look back, I've done a lot of right and learned a lot.

Well, in my experience, 2020 was a better year for bounties than 2019 was , atleast personally, i made some good amount of money in 2020 far more than what i earned in 2019 and 2018 combined together..
And now, we are in 2021 and i just hope that bounties should be even better than it was in 2020 cus the crypto market is doing very well at the moment, but on other hand, i think its still too early to decide whether the market will do well this year or not, but in all, i believe we are all hoping for a good year both for the crypto market and bounties in general.

Now bounties are not the same as before. Although I did not get to the peak in 2017, but I heard enough stories about how people bought apartments for a few bounties. As we have experienced together, in Q1 last year, only a few good bounties and other bounties were running but the tokens were not listed on the exchange.

I've also been in bounty campaigns since 2017 but didn't make a few thousand dollars like you, maybe because I couldn't sell rewards when they had a good price, most of them lost their value just a few months after January 2018. Currently I only participate in signature campaigns on AltcoinsTalks because my current job does not allow me to continue social campaigns. Hope the campaigns will become more and more quality, we are tired of scam projects with millions of USD bounty campaigns :)

I though that year 2021 will be same as late 2017, where every bounty raises funds, everything grows and rewards are huge. But 2021 so far is far different from what I'm used to. Absolutely logical behavior on the part of investors, there is nothing surprising here. I like that option of limiting the levels or ranks of bounty hunter that can participate in bounty hunting this time and the number of each levels that can also be accepted. I also believe it also gives more clean posts and more shares for hunters like you said. And to me personally it kinda looks like we have less bounty offers around now.

I agree with you. I also want to add on my own that in 2016-2017 there were not so many fraudsters. Therefore, bounty hunters almost always received their awards.

Bounty hunters really earned well in 2017 infact airdrops was also very rewarding then unfortunately everything thing dwindled when the price of Bitcoin dumped resulting to many projects abandoned 2018 and 2019 was nothing to write home about bounty earning as the cryptoshpere was full of scams however a relief is coming the way of bounty hunters late 2020 and this year due to the huge success recorded by some tokens like AMEPAY and some other projects I hope this year will yield good reward for hunters let us keep the hope.

This also can lead to being many good bounties of new altcoins this year. Moreover, we already have IEO that ensures us to have a place for the listing at the very beginning of the initial sale.

Hopefully we will see, but I think the dev seems to wait the altcoin seasons before they will launch their projects. Several dev also migrate the platform to alternate platform as such as TRC20 , BSC because ERC20 is so high fee.

It is difficult to compare these periods in general. There were both ups and downs. Someone recorded good income on the bounty in 2019. But I can still agree with you. I have high hopes for this year and for making money from the bounty.

A good move you made there selling off most of your bounty earnings that will be my move too and never look back whether the price got increased or not. Sometimes I stay away from the bounty hunting for awhile because of all this issues of not paying and delays, it make it look like a waist of my time but some times I want to give it another try and maybe this could be different cos of all the Changing of RULEs at the last stage of distribution by Project owners.

Honestly bounty reviews in 2019,2020 & 2021 because of the effect of pandemic many projects launched will not be success and some are stopping to introduced the products and the bounty hunters will not paid in terms of there campaign joined to advertised in the blockchain.

I believe that rewards in bounty campaigns depend on the state of the market. That is, if the market goes into a deep drawdown, then the reward is less, and the scam is more.

I can't agree with my colleagues (read the post above). I doubt that in 2021 we will be very pleased with good rewards from bounty campaigns, I think that the income will be +/- the same as in 2019.
As for the increase in fraudulent projects with a market drawdown, then (if you look back) weak projects will prevail, which will not be of interest to the community.

@GREENch85 since Bitcoin started to rise a few months ago and it was announced that Tesla (also banks and private companies) bought a large number of Bitcoins, a lot of projects appear more quickly than before trying to take advantage of the resurgence of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general. @GREENch85 yes, there are more ways to attract people to cryptocurrencies, for example DeFi and NFT, but things have also changed since mid-2020 when Bitcoin began to show signs of rising again. In my opinion, this year is off to a good start in terms of projects and bounties, and we can see that reflected in the forum, we just need to know how to choose the right ones to keep moving forward.

i didnt participate in the bounties during 2018 and 2019 but i did for the bounties that happend in 2020 and 2021 , for the moment i cant choose which one is best but i benefit from both years in many bounties with almost the same profit that i collected from the bounties in 2020 and 2021..

If we look at the previous bounty payments, one thing we would agree on that is at that contemporary time the bounty payment could have been received full amount, no matter how large the amount, but nowadays it is very late to pay the bounty and some times more twice . However, the projects of this period is better than before. Now the scam project is less. In my opinion, the bounty of 2021 is better than the year of 2020.

Don't worry, there are already some bounties that really proved to pay participants with a good amount of money this year and the previous year (2020). Since we have some bounty managers now, the chance of good bounties better than in previous years (2018/2019).

Freemind, I was referring to liquidity pools and other options for attracting the crypto community to participate in the token sale. For example, on coinlist, almost all projects give from several to dozens of x's, so why then should projects spend money on a bounty campaign if there is already a queue for them))

As for the increase in fraudulent projects with a market drawdown, then (if you look back) weak projects will prevail, which will not be of interest to the community.
In my opinion bounty today are far more profitable than in 2019, I already got some payments from my previous bounty this year and its really awesome this year is bullrun so most likely if you hodl a bit your token rewards and wait for a profitable price then you can earn huge last 2019 I did earn even 100 usd in a year I dont know why but they are gone, much better last 2020 and this year.

Don't worry, there are already some bounties that really proved to pay participants with a good amount of money this year and the previous year (2020). Since we have some bounty managers now, the chance of good bounties better than in previous years (2018/2019).
This year, as in the past, we were really more fortunate with successful bounty companies, in which we were able to participate. Undoubtedly, the quality of project selection has improved thanks to managers who take it with due diligence. But the truth is not everyone does this, there are exceptions. In general, the picture looks more beautiful than before.

Recently, it is upsetting that, in general, the number of bounty companies on this forum, and on the bitcoinstalks forum, is falling, and the number of signature campaigns among them has sharply decreased. Therefore, we see that when the number of participants is limited, places in such companies are filled within an hour.
However, on the whole, the results of participation in such companies are still better than in previous years. KYC scams have practically disappeared, and the number of other duties imposed on bounty hunters has decreased.

At a time we got lot of reward from doing bounties but now we can't get more that we expect because nowadays a big numbers of people doing bounties and maximum project have scammed. So most of the real project can try to collect their fund by IDO and IEO. So if all project will be launched by a regulatory board then hopefully we will get more reward from now.

You make sure the bounty you have decided to join is legit. You must check it's whitepaper and so on. Their planned and how many particapants has been join, if i's already too many participants, just look for another because you could only get small partation by the end of the bounty due to many participants and most of it has a big rank.

@Tristanerus what you say is precisely what we must do before participating in a bounty. But anyway and although it seems that everything is going well there can always be last minute changes of plans by the #DevelopmentTeam . As a more recent example we have Bintex and Keytango, which have reduced the number of tokens to distribute among hunters. Unfortunately we can never be 100% sure that everything will work out without last minute changes.

Even if I haven't been into bounties for too long, just going through the replies I can tell the rate of bounties have decreased significantly, last year was not good either but we can't conclude yet for this year, cause it might just be better than last year, I think bounties are decreasing cause new projects now use partnership with existing fame to gain popularity and not in crypto forums anymore, things have changed alot, no doubt.

@Sammy9ce I partially agree with you. While it is true that projects (some, not all) seek other forms of promotion, bounties will always be necessary. I think that few things can give more to talk about a project than hundreds of users actively participating, in addition, the bounties are always much cheaper than other forms of promotion.

Yes, this is a problem with all cryptocurrency forums, including Bitcointalks. Unfortunately, new project teams very rarely include a subscription campaign in bounty campaigns. Although the forums continue to work, the volume of posts has decreased. However, their quality, I think, has risen. New users are no longer chasing the number of posts to increase their rank on the forum, it is easier for them to work in social media campaigns, especially if they have been writing there for a long time and have many subscribers or friends. Therefore, it makes sense to participate in signature campaigns with upgraded accounts, it makes little sense for beginners because of the very small pool of remuneration payouts.

If we review about bounty since 2019 until now, I think there are scam bounties there.
Several of them are also worthless.

Of course bounty hunters can earn coins/tokens by participating in bounties, the problem is projects. Projects that launch bounties today are usually projects with a gigantic total supply (which is not necessary) and that means that the coins/tokens that the bounty hunters receive are worth very little and sometimes nothing. That is why I always say that it is preferable to participate in few bounties but to look for the ones that are really worth it. But logically everyone has their personal opinion.
