DOT, the native cryptocurrency of the Polkadot platform, has taken off lately. It’s vaulted into fourth place by market capitalization, but is this warranted compared to Ethereum’s value?

I honestly think that the comparison is not necessary, as I said yesterday in another thread, Polkadot has neither the trajectory nor the confidence that Ethereum has, it is better in some aspects but that is not enough, in an industry in which new projects appear every day we cannot put the last to arrive in first position just because their price rises rapidly. Let's remember the years it took Ethereum to get where it is now. When Polkadot has been updating and improving for the same years, we can talk again.

ETH is the established platform in crypto world & polkadot now starting Their journey with good potential. Right now eth is the king of alts but if you look at the market rank then polkadot surprised a lot. Eth rank is #2 & Polkadot rank is #4. So it is very clear that if we need to compared eth with anyone then surely polkadot will be come first.

That's the problem for most people and i will never understand, measuring success by capitalization, by the price of a coin/token. We are in 2021, many years have passed since the birth of Ethereum, in all this time things in the world of cryptocurrencies have accelerated, so before it took years to consolidate as a project with a vision of the future is now being done in months. I think we have to take that into account before taking any project down, a project that has laid the foundations for many other, otherwise we would not be fair.

I was very surprised that Polkadot was able to make it into Coinmarketcap's top 10 list, even though Polkadot is still a relatively new coin. But I also believe that Ethereum is the best coin, even if Polkadot is improving very fast Ethereum will still be on top of polkadot.

What i have learnt from this article is that Ethereum is neither undervalued nor polkadot is over valued. Both deserves this. But many crypto analysts believe that PolkaDot will be an Ethereum Killer. I consider it as a healthy competition and growth of altcoins and it shows the future of altcoins also.

but i am not surprised at all because i knowing this project very early. I mean when polkadot listed on binance then i can feel it was became a big think in crypto. & now i can see that it’s happening.

Yes you're right polkadot is improving fastly. But We don't underestimate to Ethereum. Eteheeum is stronger and more popular. Many tokens have been integrated to Ethereum I don't agree Ethereum is undervalued. Etehreum will hit new ATH soon

Lately am just not in favour of eth anymore after the overbearing gas fee we need to pay when other network are out there who are way cheaper and better, I keep asking what is special about eth? I think the question is, is eth overvalued?

Polkadot can be more valuable later, it is worth waiting for in the future polkadot will have a much higher price than it is today and also large investors are able to push the polka-dot price in trading, not infrequently the price will be much higher later, it is truly extraordinary that polka-dot platform in the future ethereum will continue to rise and have a higher value later and will continue to increase their market capitalists will be even higher.

Eth team try to minimize gas fee, i think this kind of problem is temporarily. When gas fee problem will be solved then eth will be growing. So that ETH now undervalued & Polkadot too. Both are good project & they are committed to help each others.

I think both are recovering again now mate. After the Ethereum gas fee is going down, I see Ethereum price is going up again. Polkadot is increasing too. I hope we will see bitcoin and altcoins are going strong again and more valuable. Because we all know still hold it

Yes, I think Ethereum is overvalued and polkadot is still undervalued. So I think It is the right time to buy polkadot. I agree with several opinions here, polkadot is good for long term investment. Hopefully
