Title: Cryptocurrency: Making Money Out of Air?
Post by: TomPluz on January 30, 2021, 10:29:40 AM
There is that persistent concept in some people that cryptocurrency is just actually making money out of air. In other words, everything in cryptocurrency are based on nothing of really valuable in the first place, and therefore we can say that in the long-term the future of this whole thing is not so bright but bleak. This can be likened to the printing of money which many central banks can be doing right now.

How valid is this assumption and what can be the best argument against this impression?

It could be making so much money, and it could also make us poor in an instant. It all depends on how we organize and manage our crypto assets. Because in crypto everything is in our settings.

can be true but i don't agree with their vision because there is lot of currencies now are heading to the real world with their projects because cryptocurrency is all about the real world and the people and if your project is not dealing with daily people life or helping them solving problems so it's not worth it .

To be honest, there are a lot of possibilities in crypto. because indeed investing in crypto is full of uncertainty. and indeed sometimes we can get a very large profit and it is not unexpected. So in my opinion this crypto can indeed be called a future asset where the benefits really come from the air.

I think the best way to find a good response from this question is to find out who says it and why he says it. From it we can give a fine response that can be helpful not just to the community of crypto but for that particular person.

Those type of questions are very 2016-17ish as we used to see such questions very often. The thing is that now the world has accepted the reality of crypto assets and we are quickly moving towards crypto adoption so forget about this and try to accumulate more before the rocket moves big time.

Financial markets are updating their highs in stocks and lows in yield in bonds and here it turns out that the stock market is a huge bubble and air trading. Many crypto projects also cost nothing and are bubbles, but not all.

Before there were DeFi projects (not based on liquidity pools), it was primarily the value of the crypto market that was the community's expectation of the applicability and future profitability of the project. Then, the P2P loan helps people to save intermediary costs, and more convenient in financial matters, which also creates a part of real value for crypto.
The only way to convince people to believe in the value of crypto is that projects should soon have products that are truly useful for everyone.

Blockchain technology is considered as one of the sources of revenue. Technology has spread all over the world. So it is possible to earn constantly from the cryptocurrency market.

Actually making crypto has a purpose (except for the scam) because before crypto was launched it was clear what crypto would be used for, whereas the printing of money by the central bank is actually just to enrich yourself, I think there are many.  evidence to show it.

Not the more the emergence of an easy tool for transactions, the more valuable the tool will be !. This means that crypto could potentially become a popular transaction tool in the future so that it might become the foundation of the world economy because everything is easier. I think this can be a benchmark against the argument. But again, we can't predict what will happen in the future.

We know that cryptocurrency grows well in value when capital is invested in it. Therefore, we hope for new investors so that the cryptocurrency market grows in value. Therefore, cryptocurrency does not create money out of nothing. In fact, it redistributes the money invested in it. In order for someone to make a profit, someone else needs to suffer a loss. These are the harsh laws of the market.

This is a very wrong assumption, I mean how can someone in his or her right senses even assume such a thing? If they say making money in crypto currency is like making money out of thin air, then what do they have to say about making money with Forex trading? That's also making money out of thin air, before I made money in crypto, I had to either invest my fiat currency in crypto, it rose and I made some profit or do some crypto work like joining in bounty campaigns to promote projects and I got paid, how is that making money out of thin air.?

I disagree that cryptocurrencies are money out of air, what does that even mean? How do you think the traditional paper currency is accruing its value? Because its printed tangibly by the government and thus its accrued value. The value of cryptocurrencies comes from the greatest resource and that is the people, understanding the value of cryptocurrencies also mean understanding the power and value of a number of people.

If we only think that crypto will only make profits, it is wrong because crypto may also make us big risks by losing our money so easily. But if we only think that crypto can make us always lose, it is also wrong because you are fear of the FUD. SO, it is better to be wise in order to minimize the risks and get more profits

Crypto is volatile. Pump and dump is the way to collect money easily but this is also the way to lose your money. To enter in crypto investment is not a practice game that you cannot lose money. In investment you are required to think wisely or else the money will lose. Be wise in crypto investment is a big chance to earn money.

I disagree with that notion because I believe the crypto industry has economic importance Its high technology-based services that's why it creates a demand for computer hardware and electronic devices, and also it was using a large amount of electricity that's why power producers/distributor needs and additional output to power those mining farms plus the development of the operating system, OS and software products, etc. that's why it is not making money out of thin air. for me, that was a very stupid notion.

No, Cryptocurrency cannot make money from the air because the method of making it is difficult. Like we have to think about how the algorithm works in order to run well.
Maybe yes in the past 2015, cryptocurrency was very easy to get, but now it's very difficult to get money from cryptocurrency. Because in that year there were lots of airdrops that gave coins for free.

For example, to make money from mining, miners need to invest in video cards and equipment. Traders also invest in buying cryptocurrencies or futures. People who participate in bounty projects spend a lot of time studying the project, so I don't think that cryptocurrency is money out of thin air.

+1 for interesting question
Money from the air - this is true for the majority of crypto & coin / token projects. Because currently most of the value of $ 1T comes from people's expectations rather than their real value to the economy (convenience, savings, anonymity, cross-border money transfers, contribution to health, education, transportation, energy...). In addition, there are other reasons such as:
+ The popularity of airdrop :)
+ Fundraising process: teams determine the amount of capital needed to realize the idea on the blockchain platform, then issue tokens from the air and sell them for money. Most platforms have not yet created a product useful to the community, so toke prices are only future prices;
+ Crypto is not supported by the economic potential of the country like fiat, when a project collapses, the value of the token returns to 0 like Bitconnect's BCC;
+ People still do not fully understand blockchain & crypto, for them crypto is just a product to buy, sell, own, speculate to create profits, they cannot imagine an economy lacking fiat;

Thesolution: educate people about crypto knowledge, and at the same time give them the experience of the value that crypto can bring to the economy.

Yeah it is true that most of the crypto projects make their currencies out of air. So it is a threat for the financial and economic system of the world. But there are some projects which has their crypto backed by physical goods.
Crypto was not made for earning money it was made to give people independence of using money and everyone can have their freedom to use their money. But now most of the people use it to earn money only which is sad.

There is some truth in the fact that money is made out of thin air.Thousands of crypto projects trying to make money out of thin air ended in nothing because we turned them down with our money.

We also fail to understand that for each profit that is made in crypto, there is definitely a loss for another person and hence the circle for profit and loss continues.
New money inflow is among the contributing to such scenario, that's why there is free money in cryptocurrency.
All you need is time and do a proper research, you can make fortune overnight without struggling, this is why other sectors see it as a threat to economy.

Airdrops is the easy way to earn crypto from somewhere into your wallet. Imagine you just need to do correctly every details and earn airdrop tokens in due time.

In our case we don't like the easy way to earn crypto.

Not all altcoins are valuable and we can take advantage of them.
Let's look at Bitcoin, why everyone wants Bitcoin, this will be difficult to explain to someone who is new to Bitcoin when Bitcoin has no price and is then used as a means of payment to buy Pizza for the first time.

When everyone knows about the technology that Bitcoin has, namely Blockchain, then some people start to see how blockchain works and in the end because they see the uniqueness of Bitcoin which does not have an additional supply amount and will always decrease, then it will be something unique and rare'like when we only have 1 gem in the whole world, that gem will be sought and purchased at the highest price because it is rare, I think it is appropriate to describe that we are not only making money from the air, but taking part in the development of crypto technology. has valuable value for the future of the payment system as well as finance

In most cases, this is how it is, there is earning out of thin air. Many projects are not worth a penny. But there are exceptions and only if the projects offer a truly working product that will be in demand by society.

Cryptocurrency is considered as one of the sources of earning money in different countries of the world. So it has gained a lot more popularity than cryptocurrency. Blockchain technology is considered as one of the sources of revenue. Technology has spread all over the world. So it is possible to earn constantly from the cryptocurrency market.

Please explain that to me in more detail, I don't understand your point.

But back to the tread: yes, the crypto thing can be compared to fiat. Both are built on trust. Fiat has not been backed with gold for a long time now, and you can print it indefinitely. But bitcoin is finite. There will be 21 million and that's it. We will have digital money in the future, fiat it is also at the moment, but bitcoin it is not at the moment. Bitcoin is a financial asset.!
That is not planned from the start, but it is right now.
I've heard many opposing opinions and therefore had to defend myself, but in the end one thing is also clear, you can buy a Tesla car but try to buy bread with Bitcoin

This is true because people bought BTC at 1$ now it is going to touch 60k . Like people got thousands of Dollars from UNI tokens where the money came from.
The projects that now come on  crypto market 99.99% of the projects goal is to mae money not to use for the betterment of the world. People are trading BTC like stocks but this is not what it is made for

Making money on cryptocurrency is not an easy job, I have recently been studying cryptocurrency and learning to trade on the stock exchange, and I understand how difficult it is to make the right decision, whether it be choosing a project for investment or choosing promising coins.

Money as in Fiat money is just paper, so why should it be valued? The Fiat money has value because people (Governments) made it so by saying the printed paper is worth such and such hence we should hold, value and use it. This analogy is what is pushing crypto to me. People have come to understand and take it as a Valued entity and we that believe will accept it from anyone that offers it even as a means of exchange but until it is Globally accepted as that, only the few in that circle will continue to believe it is not Air, that it also have values just just like the physical minted Coins.

We have been working on this cryptocurrency for almost a long time.  Many people here are talking a lot. Sometimes when we think about it, we can see that we are working, but we do not understand ourselves.  Income in cryptocurrency sounds like income from the whole air.  But here we can see that billions of rupees are being traded all the time.  People are able to do everything in a successful way.

I think the best way to find a good response from this question is to find out who says it and why he says it. From it we can give a fine response that can be helpful not just to the community of crypto but for that particular person.
I think the OP is alluding to the statement yesterday by the Nigerian CBN (Central Bank Of Nigeria) governor Godwin Emefiele, during the Senate house hearing. The man alluded the cryptocurrency is just money from 'thin air' made by criminals who want to 'remain opaque'.
My view is its a lie. But what's my view compared to an ignorant CBN governor

I see that many are sure that it is impossible to earn cryptocurrency without investments. No, you can make money, and this can be seen in my example. I started from scratch and now I have achieved quite good results.

In this area, you need to constantly learn. New technologies and trends are constantly emerging. If you stopped developing, then you missed out on profits.

Unfortunately, profit does not always depend solely on skills and knowledge. Here, luck also plays a big role, as well as correct information. Those who have heard about the possibility of earning money before will receive more, even without special knowledge. They are needed after, when you start to study closely in this area.

I've been hearing a lot of people says that I'm making money out of air. I've been explaining it to them how hard it is to earn in cryptos and even dare them if they can even make money in cryptos. Those who says that cryptos are nothing, it doesn't have value like fiat are those people who doesn't even know what cryptos is or doesn't understand about it.

That's why you need to develop yourself and analyze the sites that make money.

One way or another, today, cryptocurrency is really good money for almost nothing. But of course it is possible to change the situation so that society uses cryptocurrencies in everyday life, but this will take a long time, because it is not so easy to teach people about cryptocurrency. Although the best option is a government training program.

And apparently, the government won't teach its citizens about crypto (for now). Because the government still has negative views about crypto assets. But I am sure that in the future the government will start to adopt cryptocurrency, as did China. Even if it takes a long time for implementation.
The people already knows cryptocurrencies and the governments understands that they (the people) are about getting there financial freedom, hence the constant clamp down. The government understands this so it is not a matter of the government teaching the people crypto rather, it is the government allowing the people to trade and earn freely from crypto.

No, I don't agree with such statement that, "cryptocurrecy: making money out of air". Nothing good come easily and money making doe not come unawares. Every penny($) earned in crypto economy was born out of a good idea invented some 10 years ego and the technology works so perfectly that people around the globe are now embracing it.

Yes, BTC is volatile, we all are already adware of this, a situation that will always swing either sides basically due to the demand and supply rules; and can not be considered as "making money out of air". This must be outrightly rejected because it is baseless, and was spoken out of hate From those who had probability missed the big party. BTC is hitting the moon no doubt about it, whether "making money on air", or no.

Money from the air is when a person earns some kind of capital, while not spending any effort, and even a sufficient amount of knowledge is not required. but the cryptocurrency market requires increased attention, a lot of knowledge, without which it is almost impossible to make money. I believe that making money in the cryptocurrency market is also quite difficult, even if you have a fairly large capital.
