Most of the cryptocurrency is still in a gray zone in terms of its legalization by states. Moreover, calls to the G7 countries from some high officials to regulate the circulation of cryptocurrencies have become more frequent lately. Therefore, the risks for decentralized cryptocurrency still persist. However, on the other hand, the popularity and demand for cryptocurrency is growing due to the growth of inflationary processes in the world, which are caused by unprecedented restrictive measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

I think big funds and institutional players have jumped in crypto especially btc and eth only after making sure that it is not only a highly profitable but also safe investment for longterm but i do agree that untill all the countries fully accept and legalize crypto fully till then confusion will remain in the minds of the masses related to crypto.
