Can bitcoin become worthless? and if not why?

i think no.. as time passes , lots of people have been introduced and starting to know bitcoin .. as it becomes more popular there are also lots of investors willing to invest in bitcoin . until bitcoin became the main currency in the near future .

Remember stock exchange in time pass, it lost its value, what of all time most expensive gold? It loss his stand to bitcoin. There will come another mightier than bitcoin. My view is based on global change.

Yes. Everything can be worth a ton now and be worthless next, that includes bitcoin and fiats. The future is uncertain and change is constant, we only have to adapt to them.

May be so. But bitcoin is the base of crypto currency if bitcoin become worthless all other coin will also become worthless.

I think it can be worthless or not. I have 2 scenario about it, first if all government in world make consortium to banned BTC it can make BTC prices down and market panic. BTC is like gold in real world, right now used as the basic measurement of all crypto, 2nd scenario it can be future financial system (financial evolution) but this 2nd scenario have little chance to happen since as you know BTC/crypto are decentralized currency system and goverment can't control it. But who knows if government make special regulation about it, apply high tax maybe.

maybe your right that bitcoin proved it is bulletproof but why in some circumstances that bitcoin is going down and some altcoins is going up.

I don't think so. I strongly believe that it's not possible. Bitcoin will remain forever. It is dominate crypto currency for now & also for future. Go go bitcoin.......

difficult to be worthless, because when the first transaction for pizza occurs, the Bitcoin has a price of around 0.5USD.
if now the price drops to 5000USD then many teams of altcoins developers are flocking to buy Bitcoin.

If bitcoin become worthless then I believe that will be the end of crypto currencies since bitcoin is the father of all cryptos and it’s value directly or indirectly influence the others. I do not see bitcoin becoming worthless but rather a very great investment and that even with time government will gradually accept it.

Bitcoin can not be worthless. Presently we are in the digital age. People were skeptical about the internet World Wide Web when is was created in 1990. Today our lives depend on it. There is an exponential growth in bitcoin usage as many people are using it as an investment opportunity to make profit.

We can't say it's not going to happen, it could be anything in the crypto world. Especially if someone like Trump wages a war against cryptos I think the result will not be good at all. But of course these are small possibilities, my opinion is that bitcoin will survive for a long time.

Yes it was proven by many investors that bitcoin gives more profit when this will be invested wisely and knowledgeably manipulated. Because bitcoin is now growth bigger and its popularity are increasing everyday. It is really impossible to become bitcoin worthless without enough legal reason.

probably rather have no price yet, but the price decline, and now we also feel ebb and flow of bitcoin. bitcoin is not as easy as it is to not have a value and then lost. bitcoin is a coin that is very potential and strong in the market.

I think it could not be. Bitcoin is the only crypto that has the power to dictate the situation of all crypto currency in the market. If bitcoin will become worthless it will not happen without the fall of all altcoins first.

Everything can be. If bitcoin will continue to be used as a speculative means of accumulating value, then it should naturally increase its price, as a result of which there can be its complete depreciation. Then it will become useless.

Bitcoin can be worthless if there's no more investors and users supporting on it. It may decrease the value due to lesser demands. But, for me I think falling of bitcoin price to zero is not possible, infact the bitcoin value is slowly increasing.

Actually anything can happen in Cryptocurrency, but actually I never thought Bitcoin would lose its value and become worthless. Bitcoin will still have a high value until later.

No, it is precious coin that have an expensive value that only the people who have enough money can avail. This is potential and can travel longer enough to sustain what it's started.
