Ricardo Salinas Pliego, the second richest man in Mexico with a price of over US$12.6 billion, admitted in November that he holds Bitcoin (BTC), and currently up to 10% of personal liquid assets are Bitcoin.

In an interview released by "CoinTelegraph" today (12/27) , Salinas disclosed his Bitcoin growth history and considered it to be his "best investment in his life."

Salinas is the founder and chairman of the Grupo Salinas corporate group. Its subsidiaries include the Mexican retail giant Grupo Elektra Group and the country’s second largest television broadcaster TV Azteca, both of which are already local listed companies. Among them, Grupo Elektra Group also operates Banco Azteca, one of Mexico's largest banks.

The billionaire first met Bitcoin at a forum in 2013 through the cryptocurrency fund Grayscale, when Salinas bought the first Bitcoin in his life at a price of $200. Since then, holding positions all the way to the 2017 high, he cleared all the layouts at a price of $17,000.

The following 2018 bear market was an excellent opportunity to enter the market in Salinas' eyes, so he bought bitcoin again at an average cost price of $9,000. He laughed and said: "We always go back to the crime scene. ."

Bitcoin now accounts for about 10% of Salinas's liquid assets, and he has no intention of appearing in the near future. He said he wants to hold on for another 5-10 years.

Since the price of Bitcoin rose in the middle of this month and broke through the historical high of 2017, it has continued to rise and has repeatedly refreshed its highest price. According to Trading View data , at 9 o'clock this morning, more than Bitcoin broke the record at $26,950, and the price was reported at $26,610 before the deadline.

here he is a long-term trader, so based on his words who say he "will be back in 5-10 years" isn't this a leak that since 2017 he has had to come back, and drown. however for those of us who are still day traders and have some needs it is very difficult to follow in their footsteps using a long period of time. what if he dies? Has he prepared an heir for his funds in bitcoin?
