Post by: Shahinaz on March 03, 2021, 12:03:24 AM
Cryptocurrency adoption is slowly but surely spreading across the World. Projects are branching out their marketing budgets and partnerships to sports teams in a bid to gain further recognition. BeInCrypto looks at crypto projects that have partnered with sports teams.

Cryptocurrencies have found many weird and wild ways to gain users’ attention, from making use of crypto influencers and celebrities to dishing out tokens to die-hard followers. However, in an ever-growing industry, marketing plans need to adapt, and projects need to grow. Crypto has slowly entered the sporting world as we look at several teams that feature cryptocurrency sponsors.

as an example:

This news further promotes crypto and, accordingly, more people are beginning to be interested in it. I am glad that everything is happening this way, because crypto is our future.

Indeed, currently there are very few sports-related projects. for whatever reason, but maybe what you describe could be the reason. Because indeed the crypto project assesses that sports is now very rarely in demand by investors in a pandemic like now.

Indeed, several years ago, some teams and companies from the sports field began to cooperate with cryptocurrencies, and every day there are more and more such companies and teams, because cryptocurrencies have become very popular all over the world and the sports field with the help of cryptocurrencies is developing much faster than without cryptocurrencies.

the question also remains in another, how much such a project can be trusted. Some time ago, the Sportsfix project was very popular, which aroused great confidence in itself. To be honest, I had high hopes for him, but apparently they failed miserably, because even their tokens were no longer displayed in Promimax wallets.

Gaming, Sports, Art... are areas with a huge fan base, and loyal fans are willing to accept everything about their idols as an invaluable asset.
So crypto reaching the mainstream market through sports is an extremely smart and rational way. NFT tokens are proving that this will be one of the major trend of 2021 as more NFT token auctions reap far greater returns than ICOs/IEOs.
Since many sports clubs have released their own collection of NFT tokens, I wouldn't be surprised to see crypto projects branded on racing cars or soccer jerseys.

I have seen other projects partnered with the football team, Urunit if I'm not mistaken is a partner of one of the most famous football in Europe but I have no further information on that project.

The second is that  also partners with sports teams, blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies have been in demand since 2017 and if there are currently many sports teams partnering with the cryptocurrency platform then it is a great thing to further increase the existence of cryptocurrencies around the world.

Every year, cryptocurrencies begin to penetrate into various spheres of life and sports are no exception. Different sports clubs now have something in common - a connection with the blockchain industry. Some teams advertise digital money, others issue their own fan tokens.  All this contributes to the development and adoption of cryptocurrencies and blockchain.

Yeah, crypto projects need marketing, and clubs need money. So we will see continues growth of this market. CHZ is, btw, doing a great job.

This is just a natural progression to me since sports figures can also be considered as celebrities; they are popular and in most cases these people are ahead of the trends, so it does not come as a big surprise if they can also be into cryptocurrency and I am sure soon we can see many sports teams being tokenized also. And I think this is a good development as sports people and the teams they belong to usually carry a lot of influence and advertising mileage.

Since many sports clubs have released their own collection of NFT tokens, I wouldn't be surprised to see crypto projects branded on racing cars or soccer jerseys.

It's already a reality in Formula 1, and not just since this season. But this new season is already extremely associated with crypto. For example, Crypto.com is one of the sponsors for Aston Martin. And Fun NFT tokens will be present everywhere.
And NFT anyway, it's getting crazy. I just read an article where the artists burned their pictures, so they can sell them again on blockchain.
