Anurag Thakur, India's Minister of State for Finance, said the government should study the national security risks posed by virtual currencies before deciding on their legality.

I do not know when will happen, but I believe the Indian government will accept cryptocurrencies! There are many crypto users in India though their government does not support it, you can see many Indians on P2P exchanges. Crypto has changed many lives "unexpectedly" so I believe the Indian government will not avoid crypto forever.
