Title: Barriers around Cryptocurrency
Post by: Nimix on April 15, 2021, 05:52:02 AM
The world is 90% digital, and we especially of this generation quite intellectual, ain't finding it easy nor difficult to follow making it quite easy for us to work around conveniently in the world of Cryptocurrency.

But I wonder about does who ain't educated or digitalized or computerized.

Can they cope in this great world of Cryptocurrency?

You shouldn't worry about this. Cryptocurrency will enter our world for more than one generation. Now only a few percent of the world's population have cryptocurrency wallets and are engaged in cryptocurrency. It is generally accepted that the generation of people changes every twenty years. In addition, we cannot be absolutely sure of the survivability of the cryptocurrency, and therefore no one knows what will happen to it in a few more decades.
The world is becoming digital, but you should not get too carried away with this, since high technologies are very vulnerable, especially in our unstable time with constant wars or threats of their occurrence. Therefore, digital currency must exist in parallel with other types of currencies.

There are still many parts of the world, even some parts of developing countries, which are not connected to the internet and/or don't have the opportunity for using digital devices every day. But on the long run I don't think this would be a barrier as the situation is quickly changing.
I would be more concerned that people will simply not trust cryptos. Partly because many people don't know much about fiat money and cryptocurrencies.

Lack of education is indeed a major barrier in full adoption of cryptocurrencies, some continent has some proportion of illiterate population who might never get to know or understand how to transact with cryptocurrencies. However I believed the most affected is the aged most youths and children are getting educated hence In the nearest future mass adoption of cryptocurrencies will increase.

It's not tough for an educated person to follow cryptocurrency or digitalization but the worldwide big number of the population is still illiterate and does not have internet access and lacks knowledge of the internet. The world is adopting digitalization very fast but I am not sure how many percentages of people around the world adopt cryptos because they are afraid to adopt cryptos due to their volatile nature and legalization issue.

Although the digital world and cryptocurrencies are interconnected, let's not assume that people will support cryptos even if they become tech savvy. You have to take note that there are many groups (powerful ones) that are against it and will do all they can to spread FUD and misinformation.

We think so easy to adopt cryptocurrency all over the world in instant point of view. But the fact is not like that as easy as we think. We know there are countries strictly prohibited cryptos which means they are still living the old cultures in daily transactions and payments. There are countries that cannot leave their tradition even they know the advantage of crypto. They choose to remain for whatever reasons they have. The adoption of cryptocurrency globally will take time because there are major adjustment need to change.

We have to admit it that in anything that is new, there will always be a segment of the population that can never be able to cope with the necessary changes. For example, here in my country even with the pervasiveness of mobile communication technologies there are still people who have not acquired their own mobile phones and that could be their choice. I think it can be the same with cryptocurrency and that is why it can take decades for us to completely wipe out the fiat or paper money since there will always be some people who prefer the traditional way of doing things and we have to respect them for their choice. However, these people are not hindrance for the coming massive adoption of cryptocurrency or digital money.

Do not need to bother about it. It still needs decades to make crypto fully available all around the worlds. Because crypto need much digitalized infrastructure which is not possible to provide by most of the country in the world. So it will take many more years to use crypto everywhere.

Cryptocurrency hasn't fully enter overlapped with the world and the current banking system so for those people its not important to know too much about this technology but i think we are heading them by miles because we already know what crypto means in the world and what it will means in the future.

Many countries prohibit crypto because they are considered not having a license to be used as payment and there are also some countries that prohibit the existence of crypto because no one regulates the system, crypto can be used anywhere if there is legality that supports the system, anyone can use it. crypto because crypto is almost similar to the currency we store on a debit card that we can use anywhere if we want, but due to some rules, we can only store crypto as an asset and cannot be used to make payments.

There are many countries in the world where there is still no internet connection.  And the illiterate people in those countries have no knowledge of the Internet.  It is impossible for them to do so in cryptocurrency.  Again, in many countries, young people do not have a good idea about cryptocurrency because of the legal system.  They are not very interested in this.  It is not easy for them to work in cryptocurrency.  But over time, the future will come when all people will be able to acquire all the knowledge about the Internet.  Then they will increase their knowledge about cryptocurrency.

Whether we like it or not lack of education and computer/technological illiteracy will definitely limit one performance in cryptocurrency, especially when it involves forum like this, though there are spaces provided writing your poor grammar and in translation but you can't have it at the best. Technological illiteracy, how will you have access to device. That is inevitable. Some nations even have problems of power supply, which is also a limitation.

Although Cryptocurrencies are digitalized and technologically sophisticated but majority percent of people either educated in technology or not are against of cryptocurrency. They are spreading FUD against cryptocurrency. Very few people you will find that supports cryptocurrency specially from powerful/influencer persons. We have to cope with it. Please don't be upset. You can compare the situation with past few years. We are now feeling better than past.

Well, uneducated parents should have educated and civilized children to help them when it comes to tech related matter, I have a step mom who's not educated but her children is, they assist her in operation of mobile phone and other technology that she can't operate her self, we are gradually moving into a new world where almost every thing is likely to get digitalized, and the old generation of uneducated people are already passing away, soon everyone living will be the ones who know what technology is all about and how to use it.

There are so many obstacles that exist in crypto. for example, from the most basic point of view is the very lack of support from the government. As well as other obstacles such as the number of scammers or hackers. And I believe the downward trend in the economy will also be a drag in crypto.

Maybe what is difficult is to give them an understanding of Cryptocurrency, because really traditional people are really not easy to accept the presence of Cryptocurrency which is full of this modern thing.

I don't think 90% digital applies to most countries in the world, maybe few developed countries like USA, CHINA and some other few but the rest are not 90% and even with this limited technology they are still functioning well,
Majority of the African and Asian countries are underdeveloped compared to the developed countries but the people in this countries are doing just fine. People have been surviving without technology people and they still do.

I call such people digital hermits. They do not care about the achievements of modernity, gadgets, digital payments, they simply do not recognize them and live a past life. As a rule, this is a generation of people who were born in the 60s of the last century. There is no exact data about young people, but I will say for sure that such hermits also exist among them.

I am sure that maybe 30 years and under are even more proficient in processing cryptocurrency because I believe that today's young people are more adept in the digital world.

Adoption of cryptocurrency globally isn't just for an instant. Time matters so product matters too. It takes time to prone the simplicity thinking with respect to digital aspects. Product is the key to attract the people in the world because people wants a show case. IMO, the government could also be the way or hindrance for cryptocurrency adoption.

As what @Zed0x said, there are powerful person goes against cryptos. Why? Because is many reasons. ;) such as conflict interest, not prepared, corruption, and for well being of the country's citizens.

Indeed the world has moved from the stone age to the digital age where everything has gone digital, money been transferred in form of cryptocurrencies, and I think the only issue we are having now or should I say the one barrier that not everyone has been able to catch up or should I say computerised, the only way they can cope is by learning which will take sometime, cause I have friends who don't know how to transfer crypto from one wallet to the other, it's pretty hard and annoy when they ask you one particular question tons of times, I think a time will come and they will all get to understand how to use cryptocurrencies.

The world of cryptocurrency is still in the development stage and continues to be developed, if cryptocurrency is more than 20 years old then everyone will easily be able to use crypto for transactions, currently there is not much support we get from several financial institutions, therefore fiat currency users around the world there are those who don't know crypto, those who know Fiat and have a debit card can easily use crypto, there's nothing to worry about because crypto technology is easy to learn and we are users, developers will make it easier for everyone to make payment transactions.

FUD. The most effective barrier to stop the bloom of any cryptocurrency. Messing the real side and change it to all lies is the way to stop the hype and great demands. Some times the government and media are the sector to manipulate the trend. To cool down is their job. Positive news, positive gain. Negative news, decrease of demand.

crypto inhibition I think is quite a lot.

first, there are still many people in this hemisphere who are still illiterate because they are not educated.
second, in some countries there are still those that do not support cryptocurrency for legaklan.
Third, in some countries it is still difficult to access the internet, and some even have no internet at all.

So it takes a long time for everything to be digital, after all it can be digital I think it will be easy for everyone to remove crypto barriers.

However, now, the condition is likely pulling back where many more public figures and also institutions intrigue about crypto. this leads many more people to be interested to learn bout it.
However, there are still barriers in the crypto, about the real use case. I am sure someday there will  be one of the top global currencies like BItcoin

Those who are not digitized and computerized now and live outside big cities, without the Internet and cryptocurrencies, are perhaps the happiest people. It takes time to learn crypotcurrency because digital is full of very small buttons and it is very risky if we press the wrong button.
For example, if we buy the coin above and if we press the wrong button when the price goes down then we will experience a loss because of an error pressing the "Sell" button when the price is below the price.

People who don't know cryptocurrencies live their own lives. They have their own problems that they are trying to solve and that's okay. It will take a long time for everyone to know about cryptocurrency, but not all of them will be engaged in it. In any case, while it is quite difficult for a significant part of ordinary people to use it. Cryptocurrency still needs to be improved and simplified. After all, not everyone will have desires and enough free time to study her wisdom. Everything has its time and this time should not be rushed.
