New research from one of the top 10 major banks in Russia, Otkritie Bank, has found that 14% of Russians think crypto will replace fiat in 10 years. With the current Russian legislation regarding cryptocurrency, this is not even a dream. How can cryptocurrency replace fiat in this country, if the final adoption of a law is expected to completely ban the use of cryptocurrency as a means of payment? In Russia, the introduction of criminal liability for the use of cryptocurrency is not even ruled out. Russia is still considered one of the worst countries in relation to cryptocurrency. And in general, the current government of Russia in foreign and domestic policy leads the country to complete isolation from other states, which also does not contribute to an increase in interest in the introduction of cryptocurrency.

I understand and support Russians in the active use of cryptocurrency in any field of activity, but in order for cryptocurrency to completely replace fiat, this is completely out of the realm of fantasy. I think 50/50)

Ten years seems like a short time to me with all the work that would have to be done. The older population would have to be educated about the use and operation of the blockchain and cryptocurrencies, and that could take a long time, and we must also remember that there is no internet connection in all areas, especially in rural areas. There are still many geographic and technological gaps for its full adoption.
