Title: Big Crypto Influencers - the Good and the Bad.
Post by: TomPluz on May 28, 2021, 10:51:56 AM
We live in a world where social media influencers of all types and categories are making a good impact on many things in our daily lives. These influencers are affecting the way people are deciding many things not just on shopping but also in their money and investments. And this is very true with cryptocurrency.

Lately, we experience the power of Elon Musk and his many tweets which pushed hard the price of Dogecoin and Bitcoin to the top. While many are rejoicing as pump can also mean more profits, not all things will keep on going up. When things get tough, we realize that no matter how big an influencer is there remains a limit as to how far people can be influenced.

Aside from Mr. Elon Musk, who are the people that you listen to when it comes to cryptocurrency and why you continue on listening to them?

In my case, I am old enough not to get carried away by what people say, whether they are influencers or not, because for quite some time "I don't care" what people say, it can be by age or education. People are not influenced, people are governed by corporations and governments that all they want are modern slaves. I like to listen, I like to debate, but my life is not dictated by an influencer, a singer or a millionaire with more money than neurons.

Here I am not a big investor, I am just a small member who wants to learn about cryptocurrency. So I personally will not be easily influenced by what other people say, whether he is someone who is influential or not. Because in cryptocurrency, every decision I make is from my own strength, not because of the influence of others.

Crypto has entered into a manic phase. Not everything is bad, but a lot of what is happening now is downright disagreeable, is manipulated by the big ones of the day. Crypto can and will have to do better than this.

Cryptocurrencies and the community is much more and much better than everything that is happening, and I think you are right, not everything is bad, but many people only see the negative side of things without thinking about the amount of opportunities that the market offers right now. Maybe it is because of the little experience they have or because they want to be millionaires in a few hours.

Only newbies will be influenced by those influencers and diamond hand hodlers or old users are aware of this type of things which won't have any impacts on their trading strategy. But it's quite risky but profitable when everyone is on fomo as whales will try to dump that coins/tokens which was pumped through influencers. Big influencers from other industries are bad for crypto if they're here just for manipulation. On the other hand, those influencers was good who always spread both side of crypto through their social medias.  ;)

Actually, I am independent. Stand alone person. I am not so much fan or attach to social media. I refrain from the place where bulks of toxic are.

Maybe I don't have enough money to follow them and go with the flow, whatever. Haha

Btw, I learn where, what to invest in this forum. Although recently fell to scam. Still this forum has a lot of potential tokens particularly the announcement forum. Big factor are the suggestion from masters (our high ranking fellows) in crypto investment for a long time. Still DYOR.

Learning never stop.  ;D

In the beginning everyone was influenced by someone. I myself was impressed by the Bitcoins numbers and news in normal media at first. Later you look for specialists who have earned a lot in the process. And then really come into question the people who have believed in it all along, have earned millions, and still want to share their wisdom.
One of them is Dr. Julian Hosp.
Someone like Michael Saylor is one of those too.
I don't trust Musk for pushing Dodge coin for no reason. The Dodge coin is something like Fiat, you can produce it as long as you want.
I prefer the limited coins, decentralized coins that are not controlled by governments.

Well it's so bad that almost everyone in this crypto space follows a man tweet, well I guess the newbies are the one's who are really influenced by his tweet because there lack vital knowledge and experience, Elon Musk uses his influence to favour himself, but soon his tweet will no longer make any difference. For me I must say I don't get influenced by this guys, I make research in any given information I come across just to know the next decision to take.

Until now I have not followed anyone when making investment decisions, all Tweets from Influecer and news from each country have always been the main topic in making investment decisions for new investors. It's good to push prices higher, but making decisions without following other people's opinions is better because when we lose we won't regret it.
we have seen the BTC price increase in 2017 without any Tweet from Elon Musk, follow your instincts when trading and don't panic

At present, social media is having a huge impact on the cryptocurrency market. The influence of social media is affecting the cryptocurrency market in a negative and positive way. At present, the promotion of rich people all over the world is increasing on social media. Those rich people resort to various means to invest. However, most of the rich people are most interested in investing in the cryptocurrency market. The more they spread on social media. As a result, the amount of investment increases. Elon Musk is currently speculating about Bitcoin. Many people follow him through social media.

These manipulators and influencers are ruining the crypto environment. They are polluting it and forgetting the real reason of making crupto. They are only running after money. People should understand that this is not a stock it is originally a currency. People need to realize how crypto can make their day to day life easier, secure and comfortable.

I believe that natural selection itself will cause them to move away from cryptocurrencies, and the first to disappear will be those who end up bankrupt. Maybe some time later they will realize their mistake and want to get closer to cryptocurrencies again, at least some of them, I hope that if that moment comes they will know how to think for themselves and learn.

I don't like people influencer without analysis. I think It's just fomonand really temporary.
We should have knowledge to learn coin project, team , whitelist and their road.
We can see fundamental and don't buy coin at fomo.
It's really risky.

I think that ElonMusk only has power over DOGE, but over the entire crypto market, ElonMusk is nobody. We need to understand that crypto market "crashed" not because of the news that Tesla did not accept BTC, but because whales abused it to manipulate the market. Then came a flurry of FUDs from China to streamline the whales' profit-taking sell-off.
I don't listen to anyone, I read the news just for reference. Look at ETC, a blockchain that has suffered 51% attacks twice, but still has tremendous growth. Everything is in the control of the whale.

I don't follow anyone because all these Crypto influencers are promoting cryptocurrencies either for money or for some other benefit, so if you will invest in what most Crypto influencers advertise, then you will invest in a lot of scam projects, because everyone already remember which projects John McAfee was promoting, therefore, in no case should you invest in what Crypto influencers promotes to you.

I totally agree with you. I remember perfectly when John McAfee received $105,000 for a tweet promoting an ICO. From what I remember, that project added nothing new to the crypto ecosystem and was forgotten a few weeks later. John McAfee received $105,000, the project team raised the necessary money, the investors lost their investment if I remember correctly.

Are you sure want to listen to what Elon Musk states? Well, personally, I am not interested in him and also don't think about what he said. I better listen to someone else that exactly knows and also concerned about crypto. I will prefer to listen to CZ, the CEO of Binance, and others.

Yes I am agree with you that social media has a great influence to all as like crypto field. But it has both positive and negative side. Many rumors through social media sometimes increase the price but that is not real increase and it starts to decrease very soon. As a result many investors face the loss. Sometimes scammers influence the investors to invest through social media. Only a tweet from Elon Musk influence the market price. But tweet is not a criterion for price change. Such influence give a short term benefit but in the long term it destroys many investors. But after all social media has many positive sign to develop the crypto market also.

I don't care what Elon Musk says either, but sadly there are millions of people who follow him without having their own judgment, and many of those people have lost money in cryptocurrencies because of his words, and those people have caused others to lose money due to panic and dumps. If Elon Musk tweets "I farted," I'm sure they'll retweet it.
