SEC charges 5 for illegally promoting $2 billion Bitconnect Ponzi

The SEC says five individuals "promoted a global unregistered digital asset securities offering."

I think this is one fight that I agree with SEC. Fighting scams and frauds should be the business of all real supporters of cryptocurrency. I am hoping that this incident can be a big reminder to all of us to not easily support and promote anything without first getting to know of its legality and future repercussions. We can never allow the good name of cryptocurrency to be associated with scams and frauds as they can really be destroying an industry.
