“Our latest BAT Roadmap update is out, featuring details about the new Brave Wallet in development, the Brave Swap feature built using the 0xProject API, the THEMIS protocol, as well as partnership and community news”.

With a mission to make the world of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) increasingly accessible to everyone, Brave has chosen 0x as the DEX (Decentralized Exchange) aggregator in the current pre-native feature of its crypto wallet that will soon appear in the new native Brave Wallet as well.

The innovative open source browser founded in 2015 by CEO Brendan Eich, with its own native crypto called Basic Attention Token (BAT), describes in detail its Update 2 of the BAT Roadmap 2.0 announced last February 2021.

Specifically, it talks about Brave Wallet, Brave’s new native wallet under continuous development, which will support popular blockchains such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Polygon, but also other EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) compatible blockchains.

Here are some details described directly by Brave Swap:

“The wallet can make Ethereum calls (such as getting ERC-20 token balances), and send transactions (such as ERC-20 token sends). […] The new Brave wallet will be home to a user’s self-custodial (where the user controls the private key) cryptocurrency wallet, the Brave Rewards wallet *, credit cards, and other exchanges and custodians that we support (via OAuth) such as Uphold, Binance, and Gemini, among others. We may support DID cards in the wallet in the future, analogous to the identity cards in your physical wallet”.
