Title: Which is good for the novice, hold or trade?
Post by: Domithra on May 29, 2018, 02:55:36 AM
As a novice as stated, it will be more advisable to start with holding. After earning your tokens either from investing, bounty or airdrop, just hold for sometime as you gradually study the market for the true potentials of the coin to unveil. Trading especially with the "day-trading" requires experience as you might lose all your money.

Is it possible that what you are maximizing is a long-term and short-term investment?
Indeed long-term investment is a long process, but if the short term will be greater risk, because if we are a little late will lose a lot of coins.

Preach, brother!
Although one would argue if this strategy works for any coin. This sure is a good way to go for well-established coins provided you invested your fiat money at the right time, buying them low.

Of course there are always risks both in holding or trading, but in my point of view, holding poses lower risks and if you hold a handfull of coins, chance is that at least one or two will increase their value many times with time, and this will probably turn out to be more profitable than doing trading for quick cash...
The risk is that some of the coins being held loose their value completely, but in crypto pacience is the key and high rewards come to pacient holders ...  ;D

Never forget that nothing can go up forever... and what goes up, will also have to go down... ;)

I would also advise you to hold, trading requires a certain habit since the volatility of cryptos is high.
And right now you have some good entry points, buy and hold a few months and when you will have made some profits that will allow you to try trading.

I think you can make both work, but trading will take a bit more work to get experienced enough to turn a profit.  If you're going to involve yourself in TA every day looking at charts, even a novice trader can become experienced quite quickly.  Holding is pretty decent overall though, there are lots of projects I just pick up and forget about in cold storage.  Check on em 6 months to a year from now and then decide where to go from there.   I still day trade, but never with coins I'm holding.

it is not easy telling or making an abrupt decision to hold or trade. You'd have to consider a lot of things as a novice before you trade. I think the best thing is to learn around and then see what you can do best as a novice

At first you should just buy and then hold because you are not familiar yet with how the crypto market works but then you will never learn if you just keep on holding so you should experience actively trading yourself so that you will learn the market. You will learn more if you experience it first hand rather than just observing it. It is better to experience losses and then learn from it so that you can have a strategy then and learn what are your strengths and weaknesses.

if in my opinion for a beginner start by holding a coin first. but you don't use all your money to buy coins. You must find information in advance about coins that you will buy to see the potential of the coins that you hold for the future whether the coins are good for years to come or even fall. if you can already learn the coins you can trade. so basically you have to study the coins you want to buy new you can trade the coins

As a novice as stated, it will be more advisable to start with holding. After earning your tokens either from investing, bounty or airdrop, just hold for sometime as you gradually study the market for the true potentials of the coin to unveil. Trading especially with the "day-trading" requires experience as you might lose all your money.

I always against hold because i try to sell my earnings token in a 1/3 percent rate if i got and then i try to trade. It gives me new enjoy of trading and earnings also. Yes as a novice anybody can hold tokens but if he not take risk how he would learn? When i was novice, i also made some lost  but gradually i developing my trading capacity and doing best. so i also suggest it everybody.

thanks.

If you want to trade, do a thorough study of the project before buying its coin. If you are a hunter, sell the coins you get because very few bounty coins can go up. I only said very little. A person's experience for a long time ;D ;D

As is with everything in life, you must learn to be perfect in all you do before you fully delve in and get yourself burnt. Since you are a novice or beginner, you need to first learn the intricacies and complete information about trading before you go into cryptocurrency trading. It's delicate and requires full knowledge before you can really put in your hard earned money. At the moment, you can look for good projects with low market caps and buy in while you continue to train yourself with good resource materials available on good platforms like NowAcademy (https://Nowacademy.io), Binance and YouTube.

I agree with you. Beginners shouldn't go into trading right away. This is a job not only for the experienced, but also for those who have the necessary psychological qualities.

As a novice I will definitely advice you to hold your coin and not go into trading!!! Just make sure you do your reaseach on the coin you are buying after your research but the coin and keep in your wallet!!! In the process of trading as a novice you might endup losing your funds.

I suggest is you must hold your token because according to my guide here who is a highe ranker. you must hold it for now because the value of token sometimes its increasing or decreasing. So make a good decision when to trade  and hold your earn token in bounty campaign.

For a novice, I think it is good to hold rather than take part in day trading. Day trading is for the experienced traders who know a lot in the business.

I agree with you mate. Experience, we need experience before entering the trading system.

Choose the best coin that is at the top of the Cryptocurrency, then buy it when the price drops and hold it until you get a profit.
Don't sell coins if you haven't made a profit, that's what I do as a beginner.

you can trade many times a day because its price will fluctuate non-stop. If you learn it, you will surely be successful and have a lot of income from it

Currently it is not the time for us to invest, this is the time for us to trade and profit from BTC. This is also a risky period that you should be careful about and need to monitor continuously

I will recommend that a newbie or beginner have to learn about crypto first, after that if they feel that they are good to invest then go for it and do the trading as trading is more profitable then holding.

Trading is much better than investing in the present.  We can certainly make a profit if we trade signals.  In order to trade, we must know about the signal. If we do not know about the signal, then we will not be able to profit by trading. So to me, trading seems to be much better than investing.

For me I would rather sell my altcoins from bounty than to hold it because holding altcoins is risky base on what I'd experienced before at bitcointalk. most of them I chose to hold but I got nothing from them after the long time of waiting.

Were talking about should a novice enter to trading or he/she must hodl. First of all there are some novice that is full of theory on trading and holding bitcoins or alts. There are some novice who don't have any idea about trading or holding. So in this situation, the question that we can raise is that does the novice has full knowledge about trading and hodling ? If he has knowledge and ready then he should trade or hodl. But if the novice doesn't have knowledge and not ready... I advice to study about trading and holding. If he do then he just need experience on how to trade and hodl. I also advice that he or she must go to traders or hodlers and ask for advice.

What a newbie has to do is read, after that he must read, and finally he must read again, he must seek information about the projects by himself, without being influenced by anyone, he must know which people to ask for advice, and I say ask for advice, not tell him what to do with his money. Today on the Internet there is enough information for all that and much more. And always DYOR.

I think it would be good for newcomers to hold on. Because newcomers have no idea about the cryptocurrency market or the cryptocurrency world. It takes a lot of experience to trade. So I think trade is not suitable for beginners. Newcomers can buy and hold coins. And newcomers can join Airdrop and Bounty campaigns & they can easily earn tokens.

I think it is best to invest.  Because all you need to know about Coin Khan is to invest.  It is possible to get good profit by making long term investment. Again, not everyone can trade in other cases.  Good knowledge is required to chat.  So I support investing in both trade and investment.

I think it would be best for newcomers to pick and hold some good coins. Because the trade thing is very risky. Not everyone can succeed by trading. Good experience is required to trade. And if you need to have good experience with cryptocurrency to trade. So I think it is not fair to trade for newcomers.

I like to trade between the two things in hold and trade the most.  Because now those who trade are profitable in a few days.  It is possible to get good profit by trading.  I also like to hold on the other hand.  Currently most investors prefer to hold.  If you want, you can do both hold and trade.

Since trading in cryptocurrencies is very risky, you must have experience to be successful in trading. You have to be successful to trade by using your intellect and talent. The trade thing is very difficult. So I don't think it's fair to trade for newcomers. Newcomers can hold tokens if they wish.

I don't think it's better for newcomers to hold or trade.Because a new cryptocurrency user must first have knowledge of the market. If he does not have any knowledge about the market then he will not be able to succeed in any way.A new cryptocurrency user must first campaign about the bounty. Then he should get a complete idea about the market and know how to invest or trade. If you have knowledge about trade and invest then it will be possible to get profit by trading and investing.I would like to suggest to the newcomers that they should have the first idea about Bounty and have knowledge about the market.
