The rise of cryptocurrency or virtual assets has been benefitting North Korea in terms of billions of dollars funneled into its economy...though this is not an officially recognized fact. And it is because, just what I read somewhere, the country has been responsible with big hacks against many crypto-based business platforms for the past many years. And no, we should not expect it to recognize Bitcoin and allow it to flourish within the country. The stashed virtual assets are then converted to fiat money with the help of its agents most especially in China...though they can be transferring now that China is getting so strict with cryptocurrency.

Apparently, here we are talking about the government of North Korea and the hackers who carry out the orders of this government. The population of this country is completely disenfranchised and is probably not allowed to use cryptocurrency. We sometimes hear about such hacks, which are overseen by the government, while at the same time we have very little information about the lives of ordinary people in North Korea.

I have not heard about it, there is totalitarianism there without it, if they accept cryptocurrency, then there will definitely be strict control and regulation from the country, and all this is not confirmed at the expense of hackers and therefore will cast doubt on this.

But If OP has reference about need, I think OP should share their link..
I don't think north Korea has advantages about crypto as OP said.

North Korea's economy has always been in the dark, we don't know what's going on there, but there is a lot of information about North Korea being behind many crypto-related attacks. I wouldn't be surprised if North Korea is also mining crypto to generate income for the country.

I also have not heard this type of news of North Korea . The economy system of North Korea is approximately broken .There are lots of people are spending their life under the level proverty . In North Korea cryptocurrency is not ligal but if Kim jong UN wants to accept then possible because the government only care the command of Kim jong UN .
