Do any of you participate in ICOs that requires KYC (Know your Customer). We actually experienced this one on exchanges but how about in partipating in ICOs or just even in airdrop that requires KYC.
I think it depends as for me as they are many scams as well just getting your information. In some instances, we can be blind sometimes, mkay? I really do not join airdrops if it requires too needy to get your personal information.
I believe some people are not cautious as long as they can join airdrops. How about you? What are your thoughts about KYC in ICOS?
-
the average ICO uses the KYC rules to purchase tokens or register on the ICO project. the regulation was made to avoid legal issues that prohibit its citizens from joining ICO projects
-
Yes of course. KYC is one way to make sure that ICO is secure by checking who are the participants joining. By the way here's one secure ICO that I found https://vlux.io/
-
I often participate in ico that requires KYC, but not airdrop. I have much less trust in airdrops than solid ico in which I participate.
-
Yes, if that required in the bounty i join , Then i will respect it if they need it. Maybe because of security and part of checking the participants. But still be carefull.
-
I will join a bounty that requires KYC if the returns I am expecting to get is high. But for airdrops that require KYC I would not like to join.
-
ICO by using kyc regulations is very good and comply with regulations in every country so that his project is not affected by the case in the future.
-
I do not have problem with KYC(know your customer) if it is for the purchasing of tokens during an ICO since it helps to avoid any law suite. But requiring KYC for bounties and airdrops is quite questionable
-
Yes your point are correct. KYC (know your customer ) is a good idea for ICOs but it not necessary for bounty huntets or airdrop participants. Investor might need KYC to purchase token/coin because of certain countries restrictions on ICOs participation. However, KYC shouldn't be a requirement for bounty campaigns because bounty hunters are actually employed to promote or campaign for ICOs,and after the campaigns they get paid for the services.
-
for me there is no problem with the passage of kyc, so I end up joining if the company is interesting
-
I dont airdrops should be asking sensitive information like KYC. There are just used to create awareness about projects. If an ICO requires KYC, I will have to investigate into it and be convinced it islegit before I participate in it.
-
Yes i am join in the ICOs that require KYC reason for that is usually the good projects want to know about their costumers and they won't their projects to be used for money laundry and it is mean the projects won't be scam at the end although it is not be true.
-
Yes, it seems like all ICOs are using KYC. And it does not matter to me, Because with KYC Project will know the identity of the people who participate in it. because there are some countries that are banned by the ICO Project at this time.

Yes, KYC will be needed for bounty hunter and airdrop. I have joined ICOs that requires KYC

In my opinion KYC in ICO is alright but in airdrop I think it is wrong. Airdrops participation does not need money only in KYC.
-
I have never joined ICO. but I think KYC in an ICO project, it is a natural thing. no problem at all with that.
-
Of course, KYC is needed to know who the ICO token buyer is.
if without KYC everything will fall apart, surely you need an identity to neutralize the SCAMERS.
-
I believe. that the KYC check for participants in the ICO generosity campaigns is generally illegal. It should only be conducted with respect to investors. Participants in the ICO generosity campaign do not invest in ICO projects, so they should not undergo such a check. I try not to join ICO projects whenever possible, where such verification is possible.
-
Looking at how ICO's are made for me I think when a project involves KYC it boost the abilities of the developers to know their customers thereby making the project a successful one of course.
-
nowadays there are a lot of ico who use kyc and I think the use of kyc is very good to be applied to reduce cheating on other participants who want to double our account in a spreadsheet, and I don't mind the kyc system.
-

Yes It is true mate. I dont like join ICOs that requires KYC. I prefer bounty campaign.
-
I've never followed an airdrop requesting KYC, unless it is a requirement for the ICO, but I will look at the details of the project and the team and the project road map, does this project have a real team or not. Because many ICOs are scam now so we have to be careful
-
If the project is really good and promising, then I'm not afraid of such projects and I pass KYC, if the project does not like me, then I will not take part in it and pass KYC.
-
~snip~
I believe some people are not cautious as long as they can join airdrops. How about you? What are your thoughts about KYC in ICOS?
Actually, I don't agree about KYC in ICOs. Since no guarantee for the safety of the bounty hunter's identities, I prefer to choose an ICO with no KYC needed. For me, the safety of my personal identity is more important than bounty rewards.
-
There are some projects in ICO that need your KYC and some that don't need it, but most of them need your KYC. For ICO, your KYC is very important, because the ICO wants to record and know everything from its users or members. Don't worry about misuse, you should trust and be more careful in choosing a project in the ICO.
-
In my participation last time from the other forum, I did not join ICO's that requires KYC since I believe that there is no need for it requiring the participants to submit KYC. I believe that most of the legit ICO's don't necessarily requires people to submit such KYC since their main focus is on how they manage to meet the pre-token sale target and mass adoptation.
-
KYC is necessary if the project implemented to let every participants pass their personal information before accessing in any offerings. Well, there is advantage and disadvantage with this system, that would be the cause and effect when the project is scam at the end.

That's why we must becarefull when choose the ICOs before we participate in the ICOs and send our personal identity to avoid scam ICOs, we must check their company behind of the ICOs projects, is it registered and is the the ICOs been registered? For example i am believe in showmebiz projects due to the company has been registered on Hongkong and the ICOs has been registered on Malta.
-
Doing KYC has some risk such as identity theft but it can also serve as a protection. I guess it would just boil down to how much do you like that project.
-
Yes, I once joined the ICO which requires KYC. I have no problem with that, because KYC is one way to prevent duplication of accounts. As we know, lately there have been a lot of account duplication and this is very detrimental to others.
-
Yes ofcourse, there are alot of the of successful campaigns that requires kyc. I think it is not bad.
-
As long as I think the ICO project would it be possible for me to have a profit, then I will choose to participate in the ICO project investment, even if it requires KYC information, though I know most of the KYC information may be liable to leak, but for ICO still have a lot of profit.
