They both have some similarity but major differences is the mode in which they are carried out.
ICO means initial decentralized offering, the conventional way which projects used in raising funds for their project, the sales is done by the team but IDO which means initial decentralized offering are done by launchpads which the teams of project who are involved always partner with to sale thier tokens.

To me ICO & IDO are similar in nature, and very easy to conduct. Currently IDO on some launchpads like ScaleSwap, BSCPAD... are checked by the launchpad team but cannot guarantee the success of the project, many project teams are still professional scammers and many investors are still lost money. I think IEO and ILO are still the safest at the moment.

Yes, ICO and IDO are both a lot riskier compared to IEO and ILO. Now, as in anything there is no guarantee of success for any project because there are many good projects that eventually died because of many other factors. That is why we have to be careful...let's make sure that the team is really genuine behind the scenes and not hiding anything especially using fake accounts to entice people to trust them. Not unless you can personally talk to the team because you are living near where they are based, everything can be a big gamble here.

In a this process of lunching a Cryptocurrency project in the industry is a way of raising funds and also helps people to gain early access in the project, weather ICO or IDO and IEO all of them are same but where I normally have problem with this people in this innovative idea of raising funds is that most of the project owners are not genuine.

Kt is very simple. ICO- initial coin offering. It is actually a crowd funding method with differnt step of sale. It was very popular in the past. IDO - Initial dex offering. Which happen on different type of Dex platform by whitelisting and the total system is on Decentralised platform. Now it is a popular way of new project coming. We have seen its hype over the year 2021. We have senn lots of successful project has complete their IDO on defeerent IDO platform lile poolz, Duck starter, Polkastatrter.
