Post by: Delgboke on November 17, 2021, 12:34:51 AM
If you have been participating in Cryptocurrency Airdrop in the recent time you will know that scammers are using different innovative ways to scam people through Airdrop bot after making elaborate promise, in the end of the campaign the team will start by saying after alot meeting they discovered that there was also Spam bot and cheaters in the project therefore, to withdraw your reward you have pay some 0.01eth in order for you to be able to withdraw. What do you think about this?

In my opinion, the latest and most dangerous way that scammers can do is to create many scam tokens on BSC and Polygon to scam inexperienced users. They send scam token to wallets to incentivize wallet owners to swap tokens on DEX and in doing so scammers will take control of individual wallets and steal all crypto assets in the wallet.
Unfortunately, we don't have a way to combat this yet.

This is not really a new type of scam. If, before sending a small amount in cryptocurrency, they begin to demand money from you under any pretext, this has always been a sign of a true fraud. Therefore, I never participate in airdrops.
Fraudsters are always at least one step ahead of us. There is nothing we can do about it. It is best not to participate in these dubious activities at all.

Right now, my BEP-20 wallet is littered with many coins that were sent to me without me knowing it and they are usually in 6-digits in quantity which can be really attractive to start with. We have to beware because once we are enticed to encash the said coins, something will happen that can empty all the other coins in our wallet. I am not sure why BSC has not yet done concrete on this problem...expect labeling some as just fakes or frauds. When your wallet public address is exposed a lot especially when participating in many airdrops there is a big possibility of receiving these bad coins from time to time.

whoever that fell for this means is a newbie ans should not be in crypto. these has been the same tactics use by scammers and i think it is still working for them. the reason it is still effective is because there will always be new members in the crypto space. it is obvious that many are still coming into crypto and as long as we have new members on a daily, many will fall for the scam. i don't think there is a solution to that.

Definitely, newbies who are still ignorant of the many ins and outs of the cryptocurrency industry. But then again, all of us were also newbies back then. When a person can become a victim of a fraud or scam, he/she should learn the lesson and then continue the journey there is no reason to leave. I am sure that we can only count a few who have never been victimized by these evil people in one way or another as they always appeal to our sense of greed which is part of human nature.

Being ignorant and lazy is the most insane scam in crypto world. Sorry for the words. What I mean is there are so many scammers and scam projects. But without knowledge and doesn't want to read is the most hazard thing to fall easily into scam even they are so obvious. For me Unwillingness to read and learn is the greatest scam.

It is through the airdrop that more cryptocurrency users are attracted. Subscribe to a telegram group, then simply change the group name, for your own purposes. Under no circumstances should you buy an airdrop token if possible.

There are also new tokens located on BSC Bep-20. Such tokens are often scam tokens. You can buy, but you can't sell.

I think I have figured out the name of the airdrop token that you are up to, in that basis I can confirm that it was the Menereum MNE token because that airdrop has that similar condition to deposit an amount of Eth in order to claim that MNE tokens airdrop if we look at the MNE current price on the trust wallet it has a good price thats why many MNE tokens airdrop holders were rush to claim it. and fall for that trap.

This scheme has been around the world for several years now, I also have tokens on my wallet that I did not move in different networks ... Of course, it is very dangerous to move them, it is better not to touch them at all and bypass them, but in fact, of course, scammers are coming keeping up with the times, it was necessary to think of it before this ... :(

Each of us has a lot of tokens in our wallets that we did not buy or receive as a reward. Some of them skillfully disguise themselves as well-known tokens in the hope that inexperienced users will make a mistake and conduct transactions with them. We need to carefully check each token before doing anything.

Ok, I'll get back to the OP, Airdrops asking you to send tokens is a real scam, it's all done for profit, I won't send tokens/coins as they ask, because all of those are actions that I think are detrimental, Airdrops are free and no need to pay, except Airdrop on solana network, which requires 0.002 SOL in add tokens adress to your wallet

Major of the airdrop campaign is full of scams and since I notice this. I stopped participating in airdrop. Even, most of the airdrops in my wallet are worthless. If I must participate in any airdrop. it must be an old project that is already doing well in the market. This strategy you talk about is an old one. People have known this trick. it can only tricks the new comers in the crypto world.

it seems that the exchange takes place through dex exchanges, it seems that they have your wallet key, and not the token that you are trying to exchange, or do I not understand something? please explain in more detail, because many have tried to exchange these tokens via pancake or an analog.

The new strategy, that appeared this year is randomly sending scam tokens on bsc addresses, these tokens are traded on a shady dexes for a good price, and users need to either buy new to unlock transactions, or upgrade their "projects account level" to unlock transactions. Previosly such tactics used only KICK tokens projects, but not my BSC wallet is full of scam tokens.

It will be difficult to identify the new strategy of scammers. They are always using new strategies because they know that people are already smarter to know the scammers' schemes. Because of this reality, scammers use their brains to try other ways and make people are confused. However, the scammers' schemes should be different than real ones. They must have something suspicious and strange enough.

The condition is, they don't always declare the scam rule at the beginning of the project but at the end when it is time to claim your reward. No matured participants will ever see that ab initio and still get into it. Those scam project have diverse ways of performing their fraud, they end up wasting your precious time and sometimes expose your account to hackers. You have to be very careful of them, they are very much hungry and strategic.

Airdrops right now are very little and most of them are used by scam projects.
We can see some criteria like:
- They are too good as a project
- They will ask our privacy data that is very important
- They may lead us to transfer certain amount of funds to unlock or to be able to transfer the rewards
- The reward is too high
and many more

Simply endless. Those looking to rip people off are constantly innovating, as that is their business. The problem with most ICO's (for example) is they raise a ton of money, then nothing happens / zero execution. They all talk a good game, with a fancy whitepaper / get people pumped up, then it shrivels away
