Famed Economist Doubts Bitcoin Will Become Global Currency

Mohamed El-Erian, chief economic advisor at financial services company Allianz, says that bitcoin is not going to be a global currency and will not replace the U.S. dollar. However, he believes the cryptocurrency will always exist in the ecosystem and will not be regulated out of existence. Well, he can be right on some aspects because the man can be thinking that in the next few years there will still be the existing stability in the global economy and that the USA will continue to be the leading economic powerhouse hence the dominance of the USA Dollar will almost remain the same. However, this scenario may not be holding water in the next few decades when a world order will be materializing and putting USA at the backdoor.

he's not too famous, I don't know him))) in fact, he is right to some extent, because no matter how much the leading countries would like to regulate cryptocurrencies, they do not particularly succeed, for example, bitcoin is a decentralized currency and no one knows the creators, so there is nothing to regulate.

I totally agree with him and I believe that some of us here of the same opinion. I don't think that the US Government will allow Bitcoin to become the legal tender for her economy rather than the current USD. Even with my layman's economic understanding, this means losing her Economic world power since Bitcoin is decentralized without anyone ownership, it is that simple.

Soon, El Salvador and other countries will accept bitcoin as a full means of payment. What Mohamed El-Erian thinks is impossible is because of the decentralization of bitcoin. All the reasons, it is in decentralization! States cannot regulate bitcoin, the exchange rate itself and cannot influence it. Since the states do not have the right to these actions!

Such news creates only hype in the market but it's not easy. BTC has many hurdles and many countries BAN it, so making it Global and allowing users to use it, will take more time.

There was a demand for such store of value means that would be to securely transfer value over the world wide web and bitcoin was the answer as gold in the real world is used to store value and back assets so is bitcoin becoming one over the virtual world
