Osita Oparaugo is right. With cryptocurrency, there is a big chance that the problem of hyperinflation can be remedied somehow and they can be able to play in the global market. The problem here is that most or many of the governments in the African continent are control freaks and they know that with cryptocurrency they have to let go some of the financial and economic controls they have and transfer them to the people so maybe many may choose to enter CBDCs which at the end can be a big failure to many just like Petro of Venezuela.
