Title: Did I lose my ethereum?
Post by: sminded on November 30, 2021, 06:02:51 PM
About 2 years back I bought 1 ethereum, or 1.04862 to be exact.

I put it in some wallet and printed a backup of my address and key.

So I have the following unencrypted information on a piece of paper:
address, path, balance, privkey

I thought at least that should show me if the ethereum still exist and the transaction history?
What would be the easiest way to quickly confirm my wallet?

Go to https://ethplorer.io/ or any other popular explorer and enter public key (0x...). And you'll see if anything is there.

What would be the easiest way to quickly confirm my wallet?

Private key would be enough to get access to your ETH. Just chose any of popular wallets and add it into it. Be careful. Check that there are no viruses in your system and a site of a wallet is not a fishing page.

I think you can easily check the status of your wallet on etherscan or right on the Metamask/Coin98/Trust app. Trying to access with a key/seed phrase also helps you reconfirm control over that ERC20 wallet.

Congratulations for holding on to your Ethereum...am sure that you already made some good profits with the ongoing rate of Eth well at least on paper. As suggested by the response you got here, it is quite easy to show your Eth so you can relax thinking that your coin is not lost but is really there ready to be transferred anywhere you want to anytime. In relation to this, I lost my 2 Ethereum last year when I transferred them from a wallet which is not processing or transferring to a smart contract address...sadly they are not putting up a notice within the site for that.

It is very easy for you to try accessing your personal wallet and check your ETH. Next time, you should access your ERC20 wallet again and then transfer ETH there. Many people forget to store their passwords and lose all their crypto assets.

You will not lose ethereum, if you do not make eth transfer transactions to other wallet addresses, please visit https://etherscan.io/ to view detailed information from your current wallet address

If you have your private key then there is nothing to worry! You can simply restore your wallet in Metamask extension or mobile app and you will get your Ethereum back. 1.04 ETH today is a huge amount, do not lose it easily. Good luck men!

The main thing is that you have saved the private key to your wallet, there is also a path that was indicated BEFORE. I think you can easily find your Ethereum coins. Moreover, Ethereum has risen in price, thus it looks great at the rate. Store farther to reach the maximum ETH price.

You don't need to be worried if you still have access to the printed backup address and key you can easily access your wallet even you should try it. The easiest way is you have to log in and access your wallet by using your keys and if you want to see your balance only then you can check your balance through etherscan link with your wallet address without login.

As long as your wallet is not compromised, your fund is safu. You just need to input your private key nor your password to access your wallet. Without private key nor password you cannot.

If you want to check your balance, you can find it on etherscan. Just input your public address to confirm your asset.
