Bank of Russia to ban mutual funds from investing in Bitcoin

Mutual funds in Russia will not be allowed to provide crypto exposure to qualified or unqualified investors.

Not very good news that the Bank of Russia prohibits large players from investing in bitcoin. This could hinder the development of the cryptocurrency industry. I can only observe a positive trend, namely that the Bank of Russia, Sber, is planning to launch an ETF focused on the blockchain, said Vasily Illarionov, head of Sber's asset management.
