Title: When I invest in an ICO and it goes on the exchanges at way below ICO price...
Post by: cryptothief on June 05, 2018, 08:22:11 AM
All depends how much confidence I still have in the project really. If I still think it has the potential to succeed, then it could be worth investing some more and bringing down my average buying price, that would give me a lower break even point. If I've lost confidence, then probably best to cut my losses and look elsewhere. Personally I have done both, it's a tough decision to make when you cash in a loss, but worth it if you believe it will perform better in another investment.

It has become increasingly difficult to find quality ICO's and a lot of that can be attributed to noises about increased regulation from authorities without spelling out what that regulation should be. That lack of clarity about the rules has caused a lot of legitimate projects to put thoughts of doing an ICO on hold but has had no deterrent effect on those whose only reason to do an ICO is personal enrichment. But on a positive note, quality projects are having no difficulty getting fully funded while those projects that are of poor quality are not being able to raise money as easily as they did a year ago.

I invested in one pre-ICO back in November, seemed like a promising project at the time. Unfortunately they folded recently, couldn't get the partnerships they needed to move the project forward. On the upside, they did return the original investment, albeit at the current dollar value, so lost almost 50%. However, I did respect their honesty and commitment to returning as much as possible to the early investors.

before investing in an ico project you should see what the value of the project is because you are investing using valuable coins to get new bonuses and tokens that are not necessarily good in the future. my advice is to learn about the ico places you invest.

Right now I think it is risky to invest an ICO which has a hard cap higher than 10M. Most of the current ICO crash to half price.

But there is not only the expected ROI there is vocation, mission in terms of higher purposes and in terms down to earth stuff is the reality of the bitcoin bubble and all those little startups benefiting from the right to mint their own currency and through their services ana a primary pairing against bitcoin supporting bitcoins trade volume and price

then before you invest in a project you have to know the character of the project. it is very difficult to see the future of the project but always be vigilant if the investment results do not make profit and ready to withdraw your funds.

Now, when the crypto-currency market is practically without traffic, it is very difficult to find a good project for investment. Even good projects are now very difficult to collect the necessary amount of funds. When listing new tokens on the exchange, they tend to also begin to fall in price. If you are confident in the prospects of the ICO project, then you should not rush with the sale of such
token. It is better to wait for their good growth in price.

Indeed every person who makes an investment must be ready to accept any loss later because it is difficult to make price predictions a person can only be patient in holding assets to continue to open great opportunities in obtaining profit.

Of course, such cases occur when the price of a coin after going on the stock exchange is lower than it cost on an ICO and recently this happens more often than before. Most likely this is due to the fact that there are many new ICO and many fraudulent projects, which undermines confidence and interest in the ICO. Because of this, even interesting projects are difficult to collect even Soft Cap and after entering the exchange there is no demand for their coin, because everyone who wanted to buy a coin during Pre-ICO or ICO.

I think you need some patience mate because when the coin or ICO is already listed in exchange it is mostly a good project and all you have to do is wait for the dev team to do their job and work for the project and let them develop it and when it matures that is the time you will earn profit higher than what you invest. However there are few projects after the listing they leave the project and not developing any future projects that is the time i think you will cut your losses.

today, almost all companies after going on the stock exchange go straight down, you need to store them for a long time to make a profit

That's a good point, it is essential to keep track on progress being made, including team changes and key targets on the road map. I've seen a few collapse along the way and lost a bit in the process, but it's all a learning curve. Have already learned to be a lot more careful when selecting, mainly because I am not investing too much at the moment. Taking a bit of a break during this bear market and trying to build up some cash to get back in later.

but there is also a phase where you can buy the token on Presale, and more bonuses when private sale.
so it might be better for you to hold the token if you buy it at ICO
