Title: Bitcoin: from decentralized to centralized
Post by: Icarus on June 09, 2018, 04:58:44 AM
Hello guys!
We know that bitcoin is decentralized platform and is leading the crypto currencies into this same manner although there's few crypto like ripple which centralized.
What if bitcoin from will reversed its system? From decentralized to centralized. Do you think it is possible? And what will be the factor that can be the reason for this to happen?

I do not think this can be possible since bitcoin is already built on that way (decentralized) except for having the control of the system of bitcoin from the one who created it and if this will happen this will be the time where the world is under control by one government and bitcoin can be the currency of the world.

Government is prohibited by bitcoin to have negotiations. If I'm not mistaken bitcoin started the government warning is not included in the system. We can read a lot about the particular place that made crypto legal. No problem for that because it is just for them and not for the whole scope of bitcoin purpose. It won't be centralized while bitcoin team is there and the original recipes is strongly follow.

I believe since Bitcoin is based on a decentralized system, that is the only way it can operate to be successful. Changing it to a centralized system, I dont think it will workn

This subject is very interesting, and yes Bitcoin can be centralized, because even if its architecture is decentralized, its mining is centralized, which goes against the idea of satoshi. The problem of Chinese miners is a real danger, if they represent more than 51% of the hashrate they have the possibility to corrupt the chain.

Meaning the chance for bitcoin to become centralized is big, and by this I think it doesn't matter if there is a country that will control the overall operation of bitcoin.

From decentralized to centralized is not applicable to apply in bitcoin. Honestly, I can't imagine bitcoin as centralized except of being decentralized.

Bitcoin is a decentralize digital currency for a purpose that no central entity or administrator for currency to take the control. This is clear vision of Mr. Satoshi Nakamoto to make a fair to all adopters. This is the advantage of being a decentralize the number of bitcoin will be fix and can't be added once the last bitcoin is mined. This makes bitcoin popular and people keep holding there coin in hopes for a higher price in the future. I don't think that Mr. Nakamoto will change his protocol into a centralize currency.

It can't really become centralized as it is, it's just flat out not possible.  It's not anonymous, but there's no central system that anyone is in charge of, so there's no way for it to be centralized at all.  People can move money around with bitcoin so long as they have the money to pay for the transactions and no one can stop that from happening.
