Title: The European Parliament will not ban PoW mining
Post by: Freemind on March 14, 2022, 07:45:16 PM
Against all forecast, it seems that European regulators are not going to ban PoW mining. After a lot of news against it (and fear on the part of some mining groups), the European Parliament finally decided not to ban PoW mining. Personally I find it very curious, since the "alleged" power consumption was enormous. This leads me to ask myself the reason for this decision.

Does it have something to do with Russia?. Tell me what you think.

The reasons for not banning POW crypto mining can be subject to speculations but one factor can be that they realized that those who are against it are not really using verifiable facts so maybe there are also those who presented the other side of the isle. Another reason can be that there are those who are now recognizing the potential of cryptocurrency most especially Bitcoin as a tool in the economic advancement of this economic grouping of nations. Now, am sure we can be wondering if the invasion of Russia in Ukraine can be factor...well it can be but as to why it is a factor that remains to be seen. We should be thankful that those in the Green fraction and the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats did not succeed in making PoW coins illegal in EU so we can expect a better bill to materialize months from now which hopefully will be adopted by this parliament.
