Top universities have added crypto to the curriculum

Universities have been helping with blockchain-related research for quite some time and, now, some world-class universities have added the technology to their curriculum.

It was only a matter of time. Even if you think crypto is a scam, you have to agree fully educated students must know about it.

Good to see many universities now doing their share in educating people on the blockchain and Bitcoin...and this is doing a lot to elevate the status of cryptocurrency in the eyes of discriminating people who might have come around some insinuation that this is just another scam. In the past, many people including famous figures look at Bitcoin as a shady kind of deal but now this perception has already changed especially that many big names are actually endorsing it. Getting into universities is a good sign for the blockchain and for Bitcoin.

It’s such a good thing to see anything traditional who likes to adopt and embrace cryptocurrencies in open arms like the universities. In the Philippines, there are also top universities who are offering elective blockchain courses. But when it comes to curriculum, I don’t think they are there yet but now progressing.

3 years ago when me and 3 guest speakers are conducting a crypto roadshow at a university, they are saying that they want to be the first university to include cryptocurrency in their curriculum because the department we’ve conducted are more into technological stuff. Since I didn’t come back to that university because of the COVID-19 pandemic, I am not sure if they have already implemented it for real.

No one can stand against blockchain. This is a non-negotiable issue because everyone wants to use systems with 100% data security. Therefore, all institutional structures, including government agencies, should adapt to this technology early. Instead of running away, they should adapt to it.

Even a Chinese university launched a metaverse research lab for their students when crypto is legally banned. It's good to see crypto and blockchain technology got world attention and they are actually working to explore and extract utility from these sectors. Crypto is not only a financial asset it is an educational subject too.

Well, this will contribute to the further growth of knowledge about cryptocurrency, and given that the information is presented at such a serious level, interest in it will grow, and therefore it will spread quickly. At the same time, it is necessary to take into account the psychological moment. The fact that cryptocurrency will be studied at universities will mean for citizens that the level of trust in it from the side of states will increase, which means there will be more trust in it from the side of the citizens themselves.
