The hype about play to earn concept has already faded away. A popular game like axis infinity is also losing its community. Income from those games is not like what it was before. Most of the games are already dead or their token price is dying like an old lady. Do not think those will survive the upcoming crypto winter. Do not think it is the right time to invest in a project in this topic.

There are a lot of game tokens and almost all of them don't have a great price.
if a coin or token is listed on a top exchange and has good liquidity like Axie and SLP then I say it's great.
BNX is also good, all game coins are good when they have good partners and I have seen such thing since 2018.

That all depends a lot on what gaming token you are looking at. Generally, gaming has a good future but in this industry - just like crypto-based projects - there is always an avalanche of new ones being offered to the public and vying for people's interest and money. We could not be sure which of the competing platforms will survive and win. And right now, since we are still in the dead winter period, many gaming sites are having any problems. Now, having said that, if I were you I would be holding on my desire to invest with gaming, otherwise choose one or two that you personally vetted through.

Nowadays, investing into a gaming tokens for me is a not a good thing to apply, particularly if you are newbie investors or newcomer into this industry. The trend of the NFT games was already weakening now in my own assessment and observation. Instead of investing in the gaming tokens much better to buy altcoins that are on top listed in the market.

We are currently in a downtrend and I don't think the small cap projects in the GameFi trend can survive or thrive. Most of them will quickly disappear during the crypto winter because there are no users. Their economic model is unsustainable and the gameplay is really bad for the gamers experience.
I will not choose Gamefi token. I will choose tokens of layers-0 & layer-1.

Extensive knowledge is required before investing in Game tokens, as these are still in development stage. Crypto games/Blockchain games have been on the rise lately, and they could collapse at any moment.

If by gaming tokens you mean Axie Infinity or Enjin, I would say it is a mixed bag because some would tank and some would pump. Take for example, Axie Infinity. That thing pumped stupidly, then it dumped too. Sandbox(Sand) held its own for a while. Enjin is a token I cannot figure out. I guess the jury is out about it
