According to Ripple's CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, the Bitcoin dominance is expected to end soon.
He actually said : '' There is a very strong correlation between the price of XRP and that of Bitcoin. But these are essentially independent open-source technologies. »
The man is convinced that we are now witnessing the emergence of a much more rational market. As a result, the behavior of investors will be permanently altered, which will lead to a devaluation of Bitcoin. Therefore, it will no longer serve as a reference to other crypto-currencies. Any ideas or thoughts.

I think that was is own opinion about bitcoin and XRP, and he may not be right focast or may be is a prediction for 2018. Just give details for his bases in coming to that analysis. Thank you
-
We can see the truth more months from now. I think you should not base your future result on that prediction. Let your own business progress while waiting whether it is true or not.
-
I will believe that if bitcoin went to total crash that seems no hope at all like bitcoin become at top 100 coin in the market or let say it will reach the price of 500$. That would be the real time of bitcoin down and altcoins up. For now I don't believe bitcoin down and altcoins up.
-
The title is slightly misleading, but I like the sentiment. Bitcoin has slowly been losing it's dominance, and that can only be good for the overall markets, including Bitcoin itself. I'd like to see it becoming more of a 'blue chip' style currency, where it doesn't necessarily affect the whole market every time it moves. Will be a while before that happens, but once it does, we'll see some real moves.
-
This month the Bitcoin indeed experienced a decline and it will not create a Bitcoin will getting down and Altcoin will be higher. Bitcoin will always dominate and the price has a very high value and this will last for a long time. Altcoin always follows the growth of the Bitcoin.
-
I think no matter how you slice it, if bitcoin goes down, alts will follow.. Bitcoin is the trunk of the market and alts are the branches and leaves... as bitcoin needs more support, more will head back to BTC dominance and leave their alts (or leaves and branches to die) so that the tree can live a new day and have another life cycle.
-
Not all altcoins are pumping when bitcoin is dropping there few of them, but its always affected all of altcoins if bitcoin is dropping altcoins too so meaning bitcoin has a big part of the marketplace he is the biggest player of the market.
-
It depends theres a lot of altcoin depending of the price of bitcoin so we can't say altcoin will up when Bitcoin down. But there are also altcoins that also up when bitcoin down so we can consider that. After all we need to alert too if there are changes of the cryptocurrencies.
-
It will be decided by the time and chance to see if you are correct on that. Let us wait for further happenings in the future of bitcoin and ripple.
-
This is the situation, when the bitcoin is up then the altcoin will down. And when the bitcoin is down then the altcoin will sink .
-
If bitcoin is down, then altcoin can not come up. The value of the altcoins depends on the bitcoin so they can not increase if the bitcoin is reduced dramatically. If any altcoin goes up then I think it could be a virtual pump
-
Bitcoin will not end up to that. Altcoin will always be under the control of bitcoin and this will is the greatest bondage on altcoins side.
-
But in fact, altcoin prices remain down when bitcoin decreases. everyone still believes the effects of bitcoin on the crypto market.

Yes, I think Altcoins are morr potential than bitcoin. Maybe altcoin will replace bitcoin at the coming year.

I think several altcoins are very potential and profitable..It will be the next bitcoin. Lets see.
-
the main question is, what altcoin can beat btc, even eth is not enough strong to change bitcoin domination, btc still have the biggest supporter in crypto world
-
bitcoin is down, but bitcoin prices will definitely improve, bitcoin prices are now unstable as before, bitcoin certainly its price will get better again.

Yes I see many altcoins are more potential and more profitable than bitcoin. When bitcoin is down, several good altcoin is up.

Indeed, at the moment, what I know is that the price of bitcoin has dropped, and that many altcoins have reduced their prices very significantly, but I don't have the idea that bitcoin will end and the altcoin will die, so any negative news about crypto currencies will not prevent me still want to invest.
-
maybe the incident happened around 2015 backwards.
because at that time FIAT had not been widely circulated in cryptocurency.
-
As far as i can see due to my experience in cryptoworld, btc and alts are like a train and btc is the locomotive, if it falls alt will fals, if it increases, alt will increase.
-
altcoin depends on the price of bitcoin so we cannot say the altcoin will rise when Bitcoin goes down. But there are also altcoins that also rise when bitcoin goes down so we can consider that. After all we need to be vigilant if there is a change from cryptocurrency.

indeed, we must be able to understand that, and it is not as easy as we expected, some people have made the benchmark of the rise and fall of bitcoin prices greatly affect the rise and fall of other altcoin prices, and it has sometimes happened, and certainly the rise and fall of bitcoin is sometimes not can be a benchmark for other altcon.
-
I am still not convince about this idea. Although up and bitcoin down is cannot be in reality. The preference is what the movement of market motion. When bitcoin change whether decrease or increase, for sure market flow will change. It wasn't altcoins but it is because of bitcoin.
-
Really, I don't see the point when the altcoins and other coins is up and the bitcoin price is down. Literally, all the coins and altcoins are depending on the price of the bitcoin, so when bitcoin price is low, then so as the other coins and altcoins.
-
I think that statement is only personal opinion. or maybe that statements are made by people who want to raise altcoin prices as an alternative coin.
-
In cryptomarket Bitcoin is most powerful and high value largest coin . Still Bitcoin is dominant the crypto market . Altcoins always follow Bitcoin . If Bitcoin price is falling continuesly altcoins values are drop. Now many best altcoins in cryptomarket but no one equal to Bitcoin.
-
My opinion is, Bitcoin is like Dad, and Altcoin is the Son of Bitcoin. so the bitcoin will be my number 1, nothing can replace it. because Ripple will not be born if there is no Bitcoin.
-
It seems to me that the dominance of bitcoin has only increased and some promising altcoins have significantly weakened.
-
most likely in the current market in any market movement altсoins will lose their capitalization. While the market will be pessimistic, the market of Altcoins will not recover
