Post by: Arslan0049 on June 22, 2022, 08:38:09 AM

are you sure your friend received 3 BTC from elon musk giveaway? 3 btc in my opinion is a pretty big value for a giveaway.
maybe you can ask and ask your friend to be honest.
your friend is very lucky.

I don't think anyone gives 3 BTC to a single person as a giveaway as you said you could not find any tweet of Elon so you must understand it must not be real. If your friend received 3 BTC he might get received by mistake I would say he is lucky. You must ask your friend again he must be joking.

You can check if he is joking, or if his account has been hacked. If he says he got 3 BTC, he is lying, or unfriending him. We have had enough scams in this market. ElonMusk never carried out any giveaway!

@Arslan0049, you haven't found anything on his official Twitter account because it's a scam. It will be the typical scam of sending 0.1 Bitcoin and receiving 0.3, it can also be with other coins/tokens. A few weeks ago, a scammer even ran a scam using deep fake tools in which Musk appeared to speak in a video saying he was going to launch an exchange. There are many ways to verify things, never believe the first thing you see and less if it is someone who wants to give you money.

You don't even need to think twice to know its a scammy scam. You even went as far as checking Elon Musk's Twitter handle. Those gave been running scams since time immemorial. They target popular crypto KOLs. At a time, Vitalik Buterin had to add 'Not a giver of Eth' to his Twitter name to prevent people falling for that kind of scam. But still yet, it happens. Are you sure that your friend isn't a scammer?

I think you have to be careful because there are so many people who want to try to give false information to cryptocurrency traders who are just learning, and I think those of you who already have a Hero Member rank should already know that it is fake.

Maybe Arslan0049's friend is not a scammer. Keep in mind that there are new users in crypto every day, and many only see the "slogans" like when lambo when moon. Those users are just looking for quick profits without any knowledge about the industry, and it is precisely to this type of users that these types of scams are directed, thei do not verify anything, thei do not read anything, thei only see a tweet with the image of a famous person, that is what attracts attention.

The virtual world is full of fakes.  ;D

It's most likely a Youtube (or similar) scam which requires people to send some money first. Elon Musk, Bill Gates, etc., famous figures often being used in a fraud scheme to lure newbies.

maybe like that. nowadays even though it is easy for people to get information, still most people are fooled by sending money first and they will send bigger ones. .

my wife's sister a few weeks ago sent over $3000 to a scammer.

If there was such a draw, they have been talking about it for a long time and everyone participated in it, especially such a huge jackpot. If such a rumor has gone, maybe he will come up with a prank in connection with such a situation.

Sorry to hear that bro, these scammers sure have the convincing strategy to lure newbies. I personally reported so many fake accounts on social media, but there are too many of them.

I think schools have to start educating students to spot scammers, otherwise batches of new suckers will be generated every year.

With no need to investigate or even open a link for that question, the answer is that it is an absolutely scam proposition. People who can still be victimized by this so called giveaways from famous personalities must either be a very newbie to the crypto game or must have been living in the cave for the past 10 years without experiencing the use of the internet. This is a very popular scam and we should not be victimize by that. Anything that is asking us any money in exchange for a bigger money or asking as private keys and even personal information must be suspicious.

At one glance you can definitely assume it is scam. No one will give free 3 btc to anyone else unless it is payment or first step to conform your wallet and then steal your funds soon. Another possibility is to steal your money at any cause, you send first and they don't return your money anymore.

Btw, Elon is Elite and not crazy to give his bitcoin asset in a simple ways without hard work. If he will giveaways Doge, that would be real.

yeah right, maybe similar to what hypnotists do..
I think the loss comes from those who don't know about the current scam, they even keep it a secret so it's only then that they find out that they have been duped and start acting as if they have lost their minds… sad mixed with anger.

These scams are always aimed at users who are approaching cryptocurrencies for the first time. That added to the fact that Elon Musk is very well known and tweets about Doge, it is the perfect scenario to steal funds from inexperienced users who are not used to seeing this type of thing. It's a hard lesson to learn, but those new users have now learned to verify everything they read instead of believing things that will never happen.

they took advantage of Elon Musk's popularity. Actually, this scam is easy to guess. but it has been experience until now that all scams are easy to distinguish.

Unlike the case with projects that do not pay, they may be unsportsmanlike and irresponsible.

Elon Musk's name in the crypt has magical properties. Today, one pronunciation or mention of this name in the context of any cryptocurrency is capable of setting off a pump.

It is easy to realize that this is a scam for users with more experience in cryptocurrencies. For new users it is more complicated to understand, although common sense must be used first. New users (luckily not all) approach cryptocurrencies with the aim of getting rich immediately, they are not interested in technology or how a blockchain works, they only care about money and that makes them fall for scams like this one, and that is something that only knowledge and patience can avoid.

Yeah, on second thought, maybe his friend may not be a scammer, probably a naive newbie like our friend here, then OP.  Those scammers target those newbies and on telegram, they are fleeced daily via DMs where links are sent for them to click, and clicking it instantly drains their wallet if they allow the scammer

Exactly as you said.. I found many of them don't care about technology or how blockchain works, they just expect instant profit, instant character is formed. Among them also know that sooner or later there will be fraud, such as cloud mining for example, investment and investment. promise to earn 10 to 20% daily..they are crypto linked, but this in my opinion is a ponzi scheme money game.

The bad thing about this situation is that new users are scammed, as you say, in many ways, and most leave cryptocurrencies thinking that everything is a lie and a scam, those who stay and start reading are the ones who they will gain experience and they will understand things much better with the passage of time. I suppose that as in other areas of life, this can be called "natural selection", that selection separates one type of user from another, those who do not return and those who start their journey in crypto.

This is already a well-known scam since last year but sad to say that others still fell for it. If that guy is doing a giveaway that requires you to send some BTC no matter how small or big the amount is, that’s automatically a scam.

Sad to say that these scammers are targeting the likes of Elon Musk to impersonate them claiming that they’re actually doing the giveaway but it’s not. We’ve seen that already in various social media channels like Youtube, Twitter, etc.

I am evaluating your opinion. Because it is a fake event. Such posts are made to fool the common man. Foolish people do many things out of greed for money. So I think this is We have to keep ourselves away from them because otherwise we have to face a big risk.

one thing that makes sense if Elon distributes 3 BTC for how many participants but if for 1 participant I don't think it's possible, try asking in detail or in detail the link that states he won the give away

No matter how much money Elon Musk has, Musk has never done that, and I don't think he ever will. Scammers put such large amounts to attract more people, especially people who are not familiar with cryptocurrencies. Any giveaway you see on Twitter and other social media purportedly run by the rich and famous is a scam. It amazes me that there are still people who believe that some millionaire is going to give them Bitcoin, Ethereum or any other cryptocurrency that has value.

Better you stay clearly away from ant call to receive free money! It's almost always 100% fake and putting yourself at the risk of loosing the little hard money that you might have earned for yourself. Many of the people that fall for these kinds of scam always ends up in premium tears 😭.

Now there is a lot of discussion about the fact that at the end of the second quarter, Tesla sold 75 percent of its bitcoins at a price of $29,000. But they were bought at the beginning of 2021 at a price much higher than this. The damage to Elon Musk is obvious. This news shocked many. Does this company really have such a bad financial situation that it was necessary to go for certain losses? Maybe Elon Musk will comment on this in the future.

Something that has always been very clear to me is that Elon Musk (and Tesla) is not in the cryptocurrency industry to make it grow, Musk is in this industry to make money whenever he can and in any circumstance. Although they have sold at a loss, I don't think it's important, because where Musk is really focused is on Doge, it is the currency that he wants to control and that is why it is the currency that Tesla accepts to buy some items. Most of Musk's fortune has been earned through manipulation.

But it turns out that Elon Musk's business in relation to bitcoin turned out to be clearly unprofitable. Tesla reportedly bought $1.5 billion worth of bitcoin in January 2021 when the price of bitcoin hit $35,000. Selling 75 percent of bitcoin at $29,000 in the second quarter of this year, the loss is in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
Apparently, Elon Musk is a good businessman, but this act of his is a little incomprehensible. Either Tesla urgently needed money, or they lost faith in the prospects for Bitcoin price growth.

;D ;D ;D Scam. Is there some sort of proof from your friend? even if there is, this has been the pattern with most scam groups in scamming people, they might give out a few to attract more people before they take off with people's money. Elon Musk/Tesla is selling off most of the Bitcoin they hold and I strongly believe they wont be giving out any of such now or never.
