On June 30, Ethereum developers delayed the network’s difficulty bomb via the Gray Glacier update, which means The Merge won’t happen at least until September 2022. Not very good information, but what can you do. It is better to completely eliminate all the negative consequences of this almost two-year-old update of the erhereum network than to quickly eliminate the shortcomings that have appeared. September is most likely not even the final time for this. I recently read on the news that Buterin thinks the network will merge around October. September-October is just the time of the traditional growth of the cryptocurrency market. If this coincides with a successful ethereum upgrade, then it will be very good for the further price increase of this coin.
