Steve Bannon, former chief strategist for President Donald Trump and executive chairman of Breitbart News, is betting that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies can disrupt the financial system the way Trump disrupted American politics.
It seems that Bannon is drawn to crypto the same way he may have originally been drawn to the Trump campaign: “It’s disruptive populism,” he told the New York Times. “It takes control back from central authorities. It’s revolutionary.”
