Amulet Protocol announces a strategic partnership with Project Serum, who continue BUIDL on Solana
Amulet and Serum are pleased to announce their formal strategic partnership, strengthening ties with the Solana ecosystem.
Simple, reliable insurance for Web3 meets faster, cheaper and more powerful DeFi as Amulet and Serum announce their official partnership.
Amulet will launch on the main network in late September, initially on the Solana blockchain, and then become a true cross-chain coverage protection solution. Serum is a protocol and ecosystem that provides unprecedented speed and low transaction costs for decentralized finance.
Serum was created on the Solana blockchain and is completely permissionless. Serum has watched DeFi grow over the past couple of years, especially the growth of DEX on Ethereum, and noticed limitations for users and developers due to exorbitant gas fees and slow transactions. As a result, Serum was born to address these issues and improve issues of centralization, capital inefficiencies, and liquidity segmentation.
Launched as one of the first major open source projects on Solana, Serum has a range of offerings:
Serum Core, an asset-independent order book to align with any Solana-based trading product. Serum’s back-end engine is ideal for both financial and non-financial instruments.
True interoperability — Serum’s architecture allows a variety of applications and participants to share middleware in one place.
Ecosystem and developer services — Serum offers a decentralized order matching service on the network, giving full control to developers. Serum DEX also offers a broader source of pooled liquidity.
Serum Token (SRM) — SRM is the utility and management of the Serum ecosystem and is fully integrated to benefit from buying/burning fees.
Solana Speed and Cost — Like Amulet, Serum uses Solana because of the extremely low transaction costs and speed of the platform.
Amulet has been following Serum closely since it launched in August 2020, and the success of the project prompted us to start our own journey.
Like Serum, Amulet has been watching the growth of DeFi and then DeFi’s protection options throughout 2020, as well as closely following the Solana ecosystem.
Low fees and high speeds prompted Amulet to learn from others and create the first DeFi coverage protection protocol for Rust-based ecosystems. Amulet also revised the coverage protection model with its unique PCUV (Protocol Controlled Underwriting Value) solution.
Both companies wanted to announce this partnership because they share the same ultimate industry vision — to promote the global mass adoption of web3 and DeFi.
The partnership announcement is a catalyst to work together on that vision. The two companies will join together to fight DeFi exploits, raise the profile of the Solana ecosystem and ensure a strong future for the entire industry.

AMUNATION
To begin with a short introduction to refresh your memory, literally in the abstract:
The DeFi sector grew over 27 times in 1.5–2 years ( from $9.7 billion to $261.2 billion)
The massive growth of this sector provokes numerous losses due to hacking, market volatility, holes in smart contracts, etc.
Accordingly, there is a strong demand for risk hedging, the most popular of which is insurance.
A factor such as the total volume of TVL for networks, for example, TVL on Solana grows 5 times faster than on ETH, forges demand on risks hedging.
And that’s where a project called Amulet Protocol comes on the scene — it’s a DeFi insurance protocol for the Rust-based ecosystem with an initial deployment on Solana.
Amulet is being built with the prospect of simple, reliable insurance for all in Web3. The solution will be the first to be built on the Solana network and has been backed by Solana Ventures, which is also an investor in the project.
Amulet uses Solana’s proof-of-stake network to provide stable returns and insurance services through a unique Protocol Controlled Underwriting and Future Yield Backed Claim mechanism that minimizes risk to capital providers for underwriting.
In 2021, more than $10 billion was lost in the cryptocurrency space due to various hacks and frauds, including $2.6 billion due to DeFi protocol exploits, according to an Immunefi report.
The market needs better insurance solutions, and before the launch of Amulet, DeFi investors did not have that option. Amulet will be DeFi’s first Rust-based insurance protocol, originally deployed on the Solana network and built to meet this high market demand.
Amulet will adopt a cross-chain strategy and deploy it to other ecosystems not based on the Ethereum virtual machine along the way.
But most importantly, Amulet gives users the opportunity to help protect the blockchain by participating in liquid betting and insurance, which will again be done through a single protocol. Thus, Amulet will be designed with transparency in mind, with a focus on developing the project in collaboration with the security community.
If you know English well, you can carefully read the infographic below, which schematically explains the structure of the protocol process.
Positively, we can distinguish 3 main areas of the protocol, these are:
Insurance — the ability to protect the value of your assets with: smart contract insurance, stable coin depeg insurance and NFT insurance.
Steering — the ability to put your assets in Amulet with peace of mind. Amulet is the only insurance protocol that includes 3 levels of protection between claims and your assets.
Earnings — Hybrid claim management: automatic payouts when you depeg stable coins and claim management when you confirm DAO.

Solana TVL (Total Value Locked) has grown faster than Ethereum (ETH), but currently there is no native insurance protocol. Amulet was the first. Amulet utilises Solana’s PoS network to provide stable returns and provide insurance services with their unique Protocol Controlled Underwriting and Future Yield Backed.
The Claim Mechanism reduces risk for underwriting capital provider. According to the Immunefi report, $10bn was lost to frauds and hacks in cryptospace in 2021. This includes $2.6bn from exploits on DeFi protocols. A lack of sustainable design and coverage gaps has led to insurance being persistently undervalued in the DeFi space and as a result, very little of that “lost money” has been recovered. This concern is also present in the wider WEB3 world, including Metaverse, GameFi, and the broader WEB3.
Amulet will provide better options for insurance. DeFi investors have not had access to an offer like Amulet until now. Amulet is the first Rust-based DeFi Insurance protocol. It was initially deployed on Solana and has been designed to meet high market demand. Amulet will use a multi-chain strategy to deploy to other non EVM-based ecosystems.

The amulet protocol has successfully passed the security audit of the Kudelsky Security company!
This is a big step towards launching the main network.
Now the project team is focused on improving the stability of the application.
I think that the testnet will be closed very soon.
Information about this audit is available in the blog on the Amulet Protocol website.

Amulet Protocol
Hi buddy! If you came to this page it means you’re wondering what the Amulet Protocol is and what kind of AmuNation event is going on right now that’s worth participating in.
The Amulet Protocol is a decentralized risk protection protocol (“RPP”) developed for Rust-based ecosystems. Amulet has developed an innovative and open risk protection model that not only effectively addresses common problems of existing decentralized RPPs, but also creates a new paradigm shift for the entire risk management sector.
The project has been added to the top projects on ICO Drops. Now there is intensive work on attracting new funds and I think the team will be successful. Here are the funds that have already seen the prospect in the project SolanaVentures
, GumiCryptos, Animocabrands, a41_allforone, SolarEcoFund, Signum_Capital, ZBScapital.
Amulet aims to provide a high level of protection against capital drawdown, while generating income for its participants. The realization of this goal will be gradual, based on treasury growth along with buffers designed to support it. Below is an overview of Amulet’s structure: Figure Key Components o 2The overall platform design f the overall platform design outlined above Underwriting, product offerings and distribution, capital in Figure 2 is risk management, risk management and claims assessment.

Amulet Protocol
Project Description.
The Amulet Protocol (hereafter Amulet) is a decentralized insurance protocol developed for the Rust-based ecosystem, starting with the Solana blockchain. Amulet has developed an innovative and open insurance model that not only effectively addresses common problems of existing decentralized insurance protocols, but also creates a new paradigm shift for the entire insurance industry. Risk and underwriting are the backbone of any insurance company. However, all existing decentralized financial insurance (DeFi) protocols face the critical problem of risk underwriting and claims sustainability. Amulet is developing the industry’s first Protocol-Controlled Underwriting (PCU) approach, where Amulet creates its own underwriting capabilities and introduces a claims structure that incorporates the unique Yield-Backed Claim (YBC) methodology. This is a significant departure from existing insurance models, where insurance capacity is leased from capital providers, to a more sustainable underwriting and claims structure that is controlled by protocol. Amulet’s vision is to provide simple and reliable insurance to all Web3 users. With the addition of Amulet, users of the Rust-based ecosystem will have access to a new way to hedge various risks through insurance products.

Amulet Protocol
Preparations for the launch of Amulet Mainnet are well underway, and the launch date has been announced
The official launch of Amulet Mainnet is set for September 29, 2022. The team introduced Amulet back in April, along with the announcement of a $6 million seed funding round.
In August, the team successfully launched the AmuNation app, a gamified bounty, a test network, and then an audit report was released. After this initial success, preparations are now underway for a mainnet launch, as mentioned above, which coincided with a launch party on token 2049 in Singapore.
What you need to know.
Amulet is focused on providing simple and reliable coverage for everyone in Web3, which comes with maximum protection and returns that are also fully protected with protocol-controlled reserves (PCR). In fact, less than 5% of digital assets in this industry are protected. Therefore, Amulet Protocol provides additional security for digital assets with various solutions such as smart contract vulnerability, de peg stable coins, and is also preparing to provide NFT coverage.
Moreover, users can bet with confidence through Amulet. The Amulet protocol has three layers of protection — between claims and assets. Betting is simple and, more importantly, it comes with a very high level of security. The Amulet protocol is additionally based on the innovative use of the latest and most relevant advanced technology. Hybrid claim management provides full automation in situations such as the stable coin cancellation trigger, resulting in payouts. The DAO Amulet Protocol model also handles claims payouts.
Past achievements and future goals
Amulet has achieved many notable accomplishments to date. For example, it has a very active and engaged community that has grown to 25,000+ people. This community, known as AmuNation, is also largely responsible for the success of the testnet. Other accomplishments include Amulet’s unique coverage model, the audit, the announcement that it was the first coverage protocol on Solana, and the aforementioned $6 million raised through seed funding led by Gumi Cryptos Capital.
As for future goals, the team will focus on launching and then becoming a multi-chain with the hope of becoming the largest coverage protocol in all of Web3 by this time next year. The full plan is available at any time via the official roadmap.
About Amulet.
Amulet is a decentralized risk protection protocol for the Rust-based ecosystem that was first implemented on Solana. Decentralized risk protection protocols provide financial security for all users of Web3 financial products. They include smart-contract risk, de-peg stablecoin risk, slashing risk, oracle failures, economic exploits, and so on. The risk of smart contract exploits is particularly high, with more than $3 billion lost in smart contract hacks in 2021 alone. Amulet provides protection against these most common types of DeFi risks, as well as NFT and meta-universe offerings, allowing users and developers to enjoy a more secure and relatively risk-free Web3.
Currently, risk management solutions are still relatively uncommon on Solana and Rust-based ecosystems in general, giving Amulet a unique market opportunity. Therefore, Amulet is actively developing the industry’s first PCR risk management approach. This represents a significant departure from the previous underwriting capital lease model.
