Sequoia Capital had already committed $800 million to the acquisition in April before Musk changed his mind.
According to an unidentified source familiar with the matter, the firm would maintain that capital allocation to support the acquisition now that it is expected to return this month.
Binance has also stated that it would continue to provide $500 million, with a spokesperson telling sources that "we're still committed and have nothing new to disclose at this time," referring to Changpeng CZ Zhao's tweets from May:
