Mass adoption will be terrible for crypto

From reversible transactions to increased regulation and a rising tide of censorship, mass adoption is going to make crypto look more like the systems we’re trying to escape.

Probably, no one doubts that the regulation of cryptocurrency by states will increase as it is accepted by people. When the volumes of transactions in cryptocurrency were small, states allowed themselves to ignore its existence. But as the cryptocurrency becomes louder and louder, governments will be forced to establish rules for its circulation on their territory. The only question is how strict these rules will be. So far, states have begun to establish only general rules; detailed regulation is still far away. It is still difficult to say what this regulation will be.
