Do you believe him ? that he's not the Satoshi Nakamoto aka founder of bitcoin ?
-
Might be just an alias. To protect his privacy. Just thinking, does he own some of bitcoins?

Well I don't know anything about the real identity of Satoshi Nakamoto and even if he is the real bitcoin founder who would you know or does his Identity shows as Satoshi to judge him as the real founder?
There are lots of claim people saying they are Satoshi nakamoto just to gain that popularity without knowing he isn't the one so I don't believe him.

I was thinking, who is this person, why don't I seem to find this ebrita lately. And this person's face looks familiar. After I checked, it turns out this is the position for 2017, it's no wonder it's been so long.
but whatever it is, I personally will not believe anyone who suddenly appears to claim or be accused of being Satoshi. Because, Satoshi had hidden his identity from the start so why would he or they reveal it again. I think, they or he are also very smart, so if they came out and admitted that he or they were Satoshi, it would actually be very dangerous for them. So, just let it be, whoever Satoshi is, we are quite grateful to him or them, because thanks to Bitcoin, the crypto era has truly been created and brought extraordinary changes to the lives of many people.

Woah this is an old thread but I see it's resurfacing. ;D
Satoshi Nakamoto remains anonymous no one knows this existence, since his disappearance from 2010 on bitcointalk forums many people claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto but this cannot be proven I also do not believe in any photo that claims it is Satoshi Nakamoto.
Is he alive or dead? We will never know.
But bitcoin will always be there.

I sees it as something very dangerous because it's putting a serious threat to bitcoin and we knows that the solidity of bitcoin today is as a result of anonymity and it's decentralized nature, when Satoshi exposes themselves or himself then bitcoin is being put to threat of becoming easily controlled by government since they've been looking for what could make them have a total control of bitcoin.

People continue to concern themselves with the things that are unnecessary like the identity of Satoshi, when they should rather be focused on ways to get more bitcoins.
If Satoshi meant not to be known, he has his reasons and it is good we respect it. Satoshi did not want to be known, so any individual who comes up to claim that they are Satoshi is most likely a liar.

I just want to remind that Dorian Nakamoto go as far as attempt to sue Newsweek (who initially made such claim) and ask for financial donation to do that. So of course i believe his statement, especially since i expect real Satoshi to be more careful.

I will only believe if someone can move that Bitcoins Satoshi Nakamoto have in his wallet no more no less. It is a suicide thing if the real Satoshi will suddenly appear and claim that he is the one not only he endangers himself but also his family. The legendary founder himself has become the most popular in this industry just because of Bitcoin and he has I think millions of Bitcoins so what do you think is the reason why he will appear and admit truth in front of possible threats?

What the hell? Why pump this old topic up, this thing was talked and we all agreed that he wasn't. I mean its a legal thing and its not even about "potentially????" type of thing, it is %100 guaranteed that he is not satoshi nakamoto at all, he is definitely someone else. On top of that, not like it was needed, but just to put some attention to it, we have seen Satoshi sign a message saying he isn't him, which means that he was not capable of writing it while satoshi wrote that, proving that he wasn't. You can't get any more technically impossible to be satoshi, hell I have a higher chance to be satoshi than this guy if we look at the possibilities. Let the topic rest man :D

Even if he moves those coins, does that mean he is Satoshi 100%??
It will just mean that he has the keys controlling those wallets, it will not be 100% sure he is the one that mined them, he could have gotten ahold of that in numerous different ways, maybe even the real Satoshi himself giving him a few of those keys with the condition of pretending to be Satoshi!

It wasn't a signed message it was just a post with his account, three of his accounts are known to have been compromised, the email at gmx and the accounts at p2p foundation and SourceForge.

Nah, I don't think he was the real Satoshi Nakamoto although the biodata shows that, his child's name is Satoshi Nakamoto while the current name he is using while living in California is Dorian Nakamoto. He is an expert in Physics and I don't think people experts in physics know about cryptography used in computer programming. As knowing cryptography is another thing and knowing how to use it in a program is another. So he is not the real Satoshi.
BTW due to the fam in 2014 when he was accused of real Satoshi (the creator of BTC) he beared some loss and a person by the name of Andreas Antonopoulos started a crowdfunding campaign to support him (Dorian Nakamoto) and in that crowdfunding he raised more than 102 BTC and here is the address they used to gather the funds (Address (https://www.blockchain.com/explorer/addresses/btc/1Dorian4RoXcnBv9hnQ4Y2C1an6NJ4UrjX))

Don't get me wrong, recognizing themselves as Satoshi might be an advantage because they can get funds from anywhere, it's just that people don't believe them.
Well that's what I believe now, anyone who claims to be Satoshi will be considered a liar by me, because his existence needs to be proven with a long time and do not know how the process is.
But I'm sure no one will believe me.

I dont know why these people just exploit this topic so much, is there any need for that haha personally in my view yup is needed still from the dark side of mine I think this topic should not be exploited anymore. toshi owns so many Bitcoins and if he's alive and has an eye on the market haha probably he's waiting for the new ATH to book profit.
Like really he want to challenge Ellon musk that he hasn't did anything just kept paitnace level on peek and made billions based on his early hard this is called patience is always rewarding.

Oh man, can we stop with this nonsense already?
The main in the video is Dorian Nakamoto and not Satoshi Nakamoto. He was falsely reported as creating Bitcoin by some magazines 10 years ago, and obviously it gave him a lot of trouble, and as you might have expected, he didn't even have any bitcoin nor had heard of it.
-
- This topic was made in 2017, it's been a long time, three halvings have passed, now let's go back to the topic we're talking about, first personally when I knew that person was fake to say that he was Satoshi Nakamoto. And he can't even prove that he really invented Bitcoin.
Then he didn't just show up and say he was Satoshi Nakamoto; instead, there were actually many imposters. Then we shouldn't waste time talking about him.
-

Well you have a good point as well and that is also possible. But that guy on the video denied all the false accusation that he is the legendary founder of Bitcoin so it is a case closed for me already. But sometimes denying is a bit intriguing than just making nonsense self proclaimation just like Craig Wright did. 😁
-
I don't think he is Satoshi Nakamoto. When the person already says he is not Satoshi Nakamoto, why are we talking about him? But I can say one thing: when I remember Satoshi Nakamoto, I Imagine Dorian Nakamoto for some reason. Probably because the media already spread that a lot, and I have seen this a lot of time on Media.
As Dorian Nakamoto said, he does not have any Bitcoin and he does not understand anything about Bitcoin. But I like this guy! He is not like some scammer who claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto for their own benefit. You know whom I am talking about. Yes, CSW.

Two, in 2020 and 2024 :)
now let's go back to the topic we're talking about, first personally when I knew that person was fake to say that he was Satoshi Nakamoto. And he can't even prove that he really invented Bitcoin.
Dorian Nakamoto, NEVER claimed to be Satoshi, he didn't know what Bitcoin is, he didn't know about crypto, he was no cryptographer, and more importantly than that he even tried to sue Newsweek for the article!
~ But sometimes denying is a bit intriguing than just making nonsense self proclaimation just like Craig Wright did. 😁
Of course if we go that path the one denying to be Satoshi might be the true Satoshi and he might be playing dumb and faking he doesn't know a thing about but if we indeed follow this path then we have a million suspects and no real way of separating fake from made up fake.

It was indeed Newsweek's fault, but now his face has become Bitcoin iconic, even though he is not an actual satoshi.
Even so, what the media did was not without benefits for Dorian. The online campaign raised more than 100 bitcoins in his name.
The fundraiser is a way for the Bitcoin community to say thank you, because with its face, Bitcoin can also be known by the public.
Then in April 2014, Dorian briefly appeared in a YouTube video with fundraiser Andreas Antonopoulos to thank the bitcoin community for their support.

For anyone to come out openly to claim the identity of Satoshi, let them be able to sign a signature with Satoshi's wallets. With that step taken, they will prove doubters wrong that they are real Satoshi, not by showing us an ID bearing a name written Satoshi Nakamoto. That's not enough because anyone can get it done, by answering such name or ID
