Last month, an official from the U.S. Treasury said that he was still unsure if Washington would move ahead with a CBDC.Florida governor Ron DeSantis has vociferously railed against central bank digital currencies (CBDC) during an Iowa event, declaring “If I am the president, on day one, we will nix central bank digital currency. Done. Dead. Not happening in this country.”
