Title: Who is Ethereum's biggest competitor?
Post by: cryptoworld1 on September 05, 2023, 05:08:39 AM
Ethereum's alternatives and competitors. See how Ethereum compares to similar products. Ethereum's top competitors include Solv Protocol, Radix, and Avalanche. Solv Protocol operates as a one-stop platform and a decentralized liquidity infrastructure for creating and trading nonfungible tokens (NFTs).

Currently there is a way long distance between Ethereum and rest of coins except Bitcoin.Ethereum stay to be in top 3 coins for long term and seem to go just up with price by analyze bullish market term every year.BNB may be the closest the biggest competitor but it is so far in price there on market.

Competitors are now Solana and BNB. It will be fun to see how things will go on throught the years come. BNB have more advantage in come close with price value when Solana new things is create their wallets and gain many community members and investors. In next 2 years i do not see Ethereum get pass in price by these two.

It is sad to think that bnb is an ethereum competitor

BNB is totally centralized and a copycat of ethereum. No innovation and full centralization...

Ethereum should be much more than that.

There is huge innovation in ethereum. Even the PoS algorithm is something that was never implemented in such a huge scale before

Binance just copied it all an centralized it to make money

I also checked that BNB is centralized and as far as I know, the Binance Smart Chain transaction fee can also be modified by Changpeng Zhao, CMIIW
But in terms of marketing and relationships, BNB is very successful and is able to create profits of thousands of percent, the initial price is just under 0.5 USD.
The price for BNB now on the market has exceeded 300 USD, even the All Time High is above 600 USD. Personally, in my opinion, BNB is "still worthy" of being a superior competitor to Ethereum as long as it doesn't collapse like FTX.

I don't think that BNB is worth competing with Ethereum because it is still new and hasn't stayed long in the market, any coin own by an exchange has a high possibility of crashing along side with the exchange if the exchange crashes. We have seen it many times. These days exchanges create their own coins to manipulate the the system. I cannot rely on BNB but Ether is somehow reliable.

The other ALT coins specially the XRP and also the Dogecoin because these two coins future is very good and in future one of these coins touches the $50,000 and the holders of these both coins can make the good money. Crypto is the world best market which make so many peoples life change.

Competition in what sense
Is it the market needs they satisfy? I would pick cardano
Or their community size? The closest would be BNB not to mention its the token of one of the biggest exchange in the world. Its potential is as high as ETH as long as it doesn't become the next FTX.
Eth is like the Bitcoin of cryptocurrency that creates smart contracts or Dapps.

Price doesn't really decide the success of a product. Tether is just $1 compared to the price of MKR which is around $1800 but MKR is not worth mentioning as a competitor of tether in respect to market share.
As a utility Ethereum is not a competitor of Bitcoin, it only is an investment option.

Those coins (XRP and Doge) have different goals compared to ethereum.

Ethereum is focused in smartcontracts, it was launched to be a world computer. On the other hand, doge is simple a money transfer blockchain and XRP wants to be the next SWIFT.

Ideally, Ethereum shouldn't have had any competitor aside Bitcoin in the first place looking at how it was built and how open the Blockchain is for the development of other projects. But it seems to me that BNB has the potential in meeting up. And also, in terms of price related, BNB seems to make progressive increase that is visible to it's holders, but Ethereum seems to be little.

Cardano is a bit slow with their updates and upgrades but I still consider it a serious competitor.
Maybe Injective protocol could become a contender as well since it has also attracted more developers last year.

$50K for either XRP or Doge? Maybe it will happen but most likely not in the next 50 years. The point of comparison is not based on price though but on the utility. XRP and Doge are not even close to Ethereum's ecosystem.

You can downline the list to TOP 2 coins mate because Etehreums been holding that position for many years now ,
While Binance is the top competitor when talking about the position but about the function? i think there are lot of
competition in thereum now though the trust of the people stays in ETH up to now so maybe not to ask what is the
coin to be competing instead we need to use this coin as secondary to bitcoin and that will save us time to tackle here.

I agree with you mate.
I think the best competitor for ethereum is BNB and also Solana.
BNB is pretty popular. And Solana is running to close  the popularity BNB now.
Maybe other have any reason with any platform.
But I think BNB and Solana are the best platform behind Ethereum

The modifications they made were completely uncreative and still imitated Ethereum which was almost completely the same as the smart contract they created.

If you compare the initial price of these coins then look at ETH at the time of their token sale which was $0.311 and the ATH of this coin was $4,891 then the comparison is very far, then Ethereum is the first coin with a contract created by Vitalik and it is much more valuable than BNB.

If you say it is feasible then BNB is still a good coin because it still maintains a top position under ETH, if the overall performance is very different from the ecosystem that Ethereum has.

Currently, there are several projects that are being considered as competitors to the Ethereum Network based on their speed capabilities as well as their technology and systems which may not be the same but are close with their respective advantages and disadvantages. although in general we still think that Ethereum is the most solid. but it also does not deny that several other projects could indeed become competitive competitors. some of them are BSC, Polygon, Solana, and also Tron. each has its own strengths and weaknesses. Usually these alternatives have lower transaction fees.

I don't think there is anyone like that right now. Which can knock down the ETH.  but we can give a chance to the bnb. The biggest reason for which is the low fee of bnb.

In addition to low fees, BNB is very popular and is used by many projects.  Currently, BNB could be Ethereum's closest competitor.  Binance smart chain is an easy-to-use smart contract.  Many new coins are made there easily.
But don't forget, Solana is also the potential coin that have similar product as smart contract platform.
can't wait to see their battle, ETH, BSC and SOL..
Let's see...

A competitor would be a coin that has the same popularity and market value as Ethereum. BNB is a popular coin but its value has never been close to Ethereum. There are many gaps in BNB's market value with Ethereum, and even with that gap, the two coins generally cannot be called rivals. There are BNB coins in the market, so some coins can be called BNB's competitors, but we can say that Bitcoin has no competitors in the market and Ethereum has no good competitors. Ethereum's popularity and BNB's popularity are almost equal but due to price variation I see these two coins as rivals.

Never say never! Ethereum has been in existence for long and the reason why it has gain much trust is because it has stand the taste of time. They like it and it has been one of the greatest EVM that has ever been created by the crypto community but the transaction fees is killing, to can't do simple transaction on Ethereum chain without breaking the bank and that is what I have hated about the network.

There has been so many alternative which are faster with less fees but the hype kill them. Solana for example would have grown faster than we though in this space but one of the problem is that we want to have things quickly in crypto. Many investors wanted Solana to outshine Ethereum badly and they weren't looking at the errors some people were doing and that was FTX exchange, it was the mistake that drop down Solana badly and the trust is not there like before. Maybe in the future things will change but not now.

Competitors in what sense is this? If it's about the network, then actually there are several that are able to compete with it, even providing lower fees compared to the Ethereum network. such as BSC and Solana which are the most favorite at the moment because the fees are quite high compared to ethereum, even Polygon with its coin called Matic can also be a competitor. But in fact, in terms of price and loyalty, Ethereum holds for those.

I agree with you, As network I think binance smart chain and Solana are good competitor for Ethereum.
I want to see the big competition of them.
But talking about loyalty, we know Ethereum ahs bigger community.
Polygon  is the next competition for them.
But I think It's good for crypto, if there is good competition.
Their team will improve their projects..

I also immediately think of BNB chain and Solana chain when talking about competition in user market share.

BNB chain has a very large number of users and Dapps, backed by Binance with CEX, Labs, Launchpad/pool. I started using BNB chain since 2020 when transaction fees on Ethereum are too expensive, everything is familiar right on MetaMask.

Solana has high speed and extremely cheap cost, the ecosystem is developing strongly, it is also focused on investing by large investment funds, so I believe that in the future it will attract more users 🚀🚀🚀

I agree, in 2017 and 2020 there were many projects that appeared with the goal of destroying Ethereum, they all called themselves Ethereum-killer but currently Ethereum is still firmly in the top 2, while many L1 projects others have disappeared from community discussions. Ethereum has high liquidity, new blockchains want to support EVM to attract Dapps from Ethereum to operate on their blockchain.

So, if I had to name a project that is a competitor to Ethereum, I think it would be Ethereum Classic and Ethereum POW. These two projects chose their own paths because their communities disagreed with the development trend of Ethereum  ::)

yeah, I also heard about Ethereum killer, but until now , no coin can beat Ethereum at the top 2.
Ethereum is always being the King of smart contract platform, and I see their team still improve and update their projects.
Maybe we can say BNB, SOL, DOT will be the next Ethereum.
But Ethereum is most popular as contract platform.
So, I think their competitors will need a long time to compete there .
Anything can happen at crypto space...

I think that the market has moved from the stage of killing Ethereum to the stage where Bitcoin and Ethereum are the foundation, and then building on top of them with low-fee projects or second-tier solutions. We may hear of the third and fourth layer soon. we will not find competition between the different blockchains, but rather an attempt to exploit the capabilities of smart contracts for each blockchain. Ethereum's biggest competitor will be blockchain, which better integrates layer-two solutions.

Solana - has potential, but it won't be able to overtake the Ethereum ecosystem. Polygon/Bsc - too small in capitalization compared to Ethereum. It will definitely not happen in the next 10 years. I'm guessing, and that Ethereum will overtake bitcoin (in terms of capitalization) and will be number 1 in the list of cryptocurrencies. Provided that Vitalik Buterin will develop the ecosystem + add something new.

P.S. This is just a my thoughts no one knows how it will be in reality. Invest in cryptocurrency if you see the potential and its future  8)

Solana has gained significant attention in recent years for its ability to handle high transaction volumes with low fees. However, whether Solana can completely overtake the Ethereum ecosystem is a complex question and depends on a number of factors.

Solana has the advantage in terms of transaction speed and low fees, but Ethereum remains dominant when it comes to the development and adoption of decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts. Ethereum is also transitioning from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake consensus with the Ethereum 2.0 upgrade, which is expected to improve its scalability.

While Solana could be a strong competitor, replacing the Ethereum ecosystem completely would involve huge challenges. Both will likely function together as part of a broader blockchain ecosystem with their respective advantages and disadvantages. Solana's success in competing with Ethereum will largely depend on further development, adoption, and support from the community and developers.

In general, Solana is known for its lower transaction fees compared to Ethereum. Solana is designed with technology that allows for fast and efficient transaction handling at relatively low fees, especially when compared to Ethereum.

Did you see the price of the Solana a year ago? I wonder who bought it then, I personally didn't - I didn't believe in the project. What kind of capitalization would it need to overtake Ethereum? It's almost impossible (next few years). So in BSC - minimum commissions as well, it doesn't do anything. Completely different goals and objectives. Think about how many users should be interested in the project that the price would go up (at least by 20%). Over the next week, the price of Solana fell by - 17% and bitcoin by - 9%.

P.S. By no means am I trying to change your opinion, I just believe that Solana will not overtake Ethereum.

Actually Ethereum has no any effective competitor in cryptocurrency market. Now Ethereum's position 2nd on cryptocurrency market. Through marketcap and volume it’s position also second after Bitcoin. I think BNB is potential competitor but huge different till now. As BNB product of Binance so today or tomorrow BNB will play good role.
Between Ethereum and BNB has huge difference even price, volume and marketcap. But i think it will be closer in future.

Until now, BNB is still one of the fastest blockchain networks with very cheap transaction fees, in contrast to the Ethereum network, which is very expensive in terms of transaction fees, and delivery also depends on all existing transactions, whereas currently it can be said that Ethereum network transactions are slightly higher. slower than the BNB network, so it could be said that BNB is a very tough competitor for Ethereum because of its sophistication.

I read several articles on the internet regarding ethereum competitors. Some of them are quite reasonable competitors, but some or even many of them are just writing articles or promoting their latest projects.

In my personal opinion, there are several competitors to Ethereum that are currently quite competitive and sustainable. They are Binance Network with its BSC, Polygon (Matic), and currently Solana is also starting to be highly considered again because its performance is really growing. and indeed all three are considered enough to be alternatives to the Ethereum network, with speed and money security not much different, but with varied and more competitive fees, as well as affordable.

I don't see a serious competitor for Ethereum now. Ethereum is still difficult to follow by other projects because most people already trust in Ethereum so much. Maybe someday Solana and Polygon will be serious competitors for Ethereum because those 2 projects have very potential future. However, Ethereum is still very far from those projects now. There is no sign of big competitors of Ethereum in the near future.

Basically, they are smart contract platform and has been integrated to many projects.

Solana will follow both.

If you look at the marketcap for the Solana coin, it is very far from approaching the marketcap for the Ethereum coin.
$266,269,895,304 Ethereum
$37,431,594,070 Solana

But in cryptocurrency there are always unexpected things, maybe next time the Solana coin could be the same as the Ethereum coin or even overtake it.
But in terms of development factors, community and various unique things that exist in Ethereum, it is very difficult for Solana coins to pass Ethereum coins, it may take a long time for Solana coins to approach the market cap of Ethereum coins.

Yes, it is quite acknowledged that both BNB (BSC) and Solana have very good progress. In fact, there are already many projects that use this blockchain platform at the moment. because it is based on a more affordable fee consideration compared to Ethereum which can rise very rapidly at any time. because after all this is a weakness of Ethereum itself. However, Ethereum is still continuing to grow and is still a favorite. What is certain is that for now, these competitors will of course continue to try to take over Ethereum's position, which is certainly not easy to do.

Ethereum is considered to be the second most popular currency in terms of popularity. Bitcoin is the most popular digital currency and Ethereum is the second most popular currency. All other coins in the market may be popular considering other aspects but most of all considering this coin is very popular. If you find the difference in the price of BNB with Ethereum, then the difference is clear to us. Perhaps now the price of Ethereum is 2000 dollars and the price of BNBA is 300 dollars, but there is a considerable difference between the prices of these 2 coins. If BNB is considered as a tough opponent of Ethereum, but considering the price, we cannot say that and it is very difficult for the price of 2 to be equal because if the price of BNB increases, the price of Ethereum will increase in comparison, that is, this price gap will remain.

BNB, Solana, Polygon will be the best competitor for ethereum.
Ethereum is the biggest as smart contract platform.
but I think it will take a long time.
Polkadot not popular as ethereum and BNB , i don't think Polkadot will be there.
Compete to ethereum and BNB.
If their team will improve their project , I think polkadot has potentially to compete to ethereum and BNB.
Because we know ethereum is the second rank on CMC, BNB is number 4.

They are 3 strong projects that can be strong competitors of Ethereum in the future. We can see they have great progress and they develop very well. But Etheruem is still quite far to be reached for now. I agree it will be a long time to chase Ethereum. But with the potential of those 3 projects, it is not impossible that one of them can grow as well as Ethereum in the future.

Yes, Polkadot doesn't have a really convincing reason to beat Ethereum. Polkadot also isn't as big as those 3 projects (Binance, Solana, Polygon). I also doubt that Polkadot will be a strong competitor in the future.

Simply No one, at least for now there's no one if someone is calling for SOL they are just bluffing, ETH is not more than just an altcoin project after 2022's DeFi evolution, and with the L2's and L3's higher-end expansion I'm expecting ETH to be always dominating the smart contract and perform development race, these are not just the words to say, ETH proved itself even in a better way after L2's.

There are some decent ecosystems that will grow exponentially sooner or later as DOT but when it comes to direct comparison, there is no chance for others.

Competitors are now Solana and BNB. It will be fun to see how things will go on throught the years come. BNB have more advantage in come close with price value when Solana new things is create their wallets and gain many community members and investors. In next 2 years i do not see Ethereum get pass in price by these two.
BNB was not supposed to be an ethereum competitor, BNB shouldn've have any chance infront of ethereum. because BNB was a ditto copy paste of ethereum. but unfortunately we are seeing that BNB grown up so much that it is almost competing with ethereum.
but BNB is only a eth competion in some features. Ethereum still have a lot more features and better security than BNB.
BNB is more lucrative for common people because of low transaction fee. Which is a good thing.
No Hate for BNB tho

By seeing the popularity of BNB, I think BNB is the closest competitor for Ethereum. BNB is cheapest transaction fee. Maybe we will see other competitor, Solana will be the next competitor for BNB and Ethereum.

Ethereum's current competitor is the DOGE coin. lol
Why I chose DOGE is because I am sure that Ethereum fans will definitely not be hostile to the DOGE coin.
I have to be fair because I don't want any disputes between Ethereum fans and fans of tokens that are Ethereum competitors. lol

That's just my joking expression because I also look at Ethereum's current competitors such as BNB.
If BNB continues to be consistent with the way it works and continues to develop Binance seriously then BNB will at least be able to approach the market cap of the Ethereum coin.

BNB and Sol are definitely the best of the ALT coins and these two coins can outshine all other coins in terms of popularity. Here we are talking about Ethereum and its worthy competitors.  These two coins are popular as well as Ethereum but the difference is that these two coins are much less expensive than Ethereum. A worthy competitor means one who is equal to each other in all respects and in no way can separate one from the other or put one too far ahead of the other. Considering the price of Ethereum, it is clear that compared to these two coins, the price of Ethereum is much higher and the price of Ethereum is much ahead. The difference in value between these three coins may remain even if the popularity is equal in terms of the amount of value gap which is very difficult to recover.

As you already know, BNB and Sol are altcoins that were just created after Ethereum, and of course both have more advantages than Ethereum because the aim of these two altcoins was to be a complement to Ethereum, which they took into consideration when creating a new platform like BNB and Sol, which is cheaper transaction fees and higher transaction speed.

BNB has not completely beaten Ethereum in circulation; a new platform has arrived that is trying to beat Ethereum and BNB. Solana is a project that has just been developed and has just been created but has the potential to beat these two big platforms. As long as Solana can still develop and can be a solution to several problems that arise on Ethereum and BNB, the use of Solana will automatically increase because demand will be higher.

Yeah if you follow the movement of technology, from year to year new technology will always be created that is useful for improving the previous platform because, of course, with every new technology that is created, there will be differences in the advantages and disadvantages it has, so it is very dangerous for the current platform. developing but not immediately fixing its weaknesses because it will definitely be used as the main goal of a new project.

You do realize that's impossible, right? Not at all.  Understand, 1 mention that CZ (swindler) by the SEC, bnb - will fly to the bottom (irrevocably). "Maybe" ETH will overtake BTC in capitalization = far from certain that this will happen. Probably no one knows that and no one can know that. These are just my guesses + thoughts in the ear. I don't want surprises :) The progress of a crypto project will be determined by consistency in development, and I think BnB is very serious in feature development and in developing its community.
But the image as an exchange coin is too embedded in the minds of crypto enthusiasts, less visible as a blockchain network built to run Smart-contract-based applications.
So rumors or bad news about the Binance exchange will immediately impact the price.
And this may be what prevents BNB from overtaking Eth's position as the main Altcoin. IMO

BNB is where it is today because of CZ and since his depart and step-down as the CEO of Binance, the coin has not been active like the way it used to be back then. CZ is a man of action, he doesn't say much or support the coin blindly but when he tweets words about it with cool update, people rush to buy it which is similar to what Ethereum founders has been doing but now that CZ is not around in this bull run, I'm not sure what the market will do this time with BNB.

In terms of speed, Binance smart chain is ahead of Ethereum but BSC is too centralized and because it's a utility token of an exchange, the centralization is increasing everyday, unlike Ethereum that has always been a decentralized coin since the launched not until they moved to proof of stake but it's still better in decentralization than Binance smart chain.

If many people know about CZ's ugliness, I think many will hate him, but he finally realized that if he still stays at Binance, the platform he grew up to become today will be destroyed. Therefore,  CZ left Binance and gave up all his positions, and this solved the problem he is currently experiencing. In this way, CZ still manages to secure conditions for BNB price movements.

I agree with you, Ethereum's biggest threat is not BSC but Solana.  Solana has shown good improvement and is more popular now.  Nice to see competition in the top 5 Between platforms.  Ethereum is the biggest, but still has old problems, high gas fees.  BNB and SOL aren't as popular as Ethereum, but time will tell.  Who's the best platform at the coming future?

The competitors of Ethereum, there are projects like Binance Smart Chain, Cardano, and Polkadot. Binance Smart Chain offers high performance and low fees, attracting developers and users of decentralized applications. Cardano, in turn, promises improved scalability and security through the application of new consensus and governance approaches. Polkadot is a scalable and interoperable platform that enables different blockchains to interact with each other. These projects also represent significant competition for Ethereum in the blockchain and decentralized application market. I can add a few more projects as competitors to ETH. There are quite a lot of them today.

There are still many best platforms in the future that will probably be created because I am sure that when Solana is just created, there will be a new platform created again, and no one will know. So far, Ethereum is still quite good because there are still many people who use it, so even if various new blockchains emerge, it will not cause Ethereum to collapse.

The coins you mentioned are not going to be a worthy competitor to Ethereum in any way. If you want to compare the popularity value of Ethereum with other coins then you can do the difference very easily because Ethereum is worth 3000 dollars currently there BNB is only 300 dollars. There is a big difference between $300 and $3000. Maybe the popularity of BNB is much, but the popularity of Ethereum will not be less than BNB in any part, but the positive thing for Ethereum is that the price of Ethereum is much higher than BNP. The price gap that BNB has with Ethereum will not be easily bridged, and as long as this gap remains, Ethereum cannot be said to be a worthy competitor to BNB.

I think, just as there is no competitor of Bitcoin, I do not see any competitor of Ethereum among alt-coins. I think the cryptocurrencies you mentioned can only come close to Ethereum coins but cannot cross Ethereum, so if you call them Ethereum's competitor, I think it would be wrong.
Just like Bitcoin has occupied a special place for him in the world of cryptocurrency, just like Ethereum has created a space of its own after Bitcoin, I think there is no competitor. But I believe that all the coins you mentioned here will make a very good position in the future, but I never believe that all these coins will overtake Ethereum and top the popularity of Ethereum.

Actually, ethereum's main competitor is the problem itself, because until now ethereum has never been able to solve its problem, namely high gas fees. If it is called BNB, Solana is a competitor to ethereum which I don't think it is, because ethereum has a much bigger community.

Itself.

Ethereum's biggest competitor is Ethereum itself. I mean look at Ethereum's gas fees. I also joined an airdrop a while ago where I need to bridge from Ethereum Mainnet to that project. There is no problem when I bridge from ETH to the project, but when I want to bridge it again from the project back to ETH mainnet, the transaction fee is a whopping $67. To bridge $50, I need to pay $67 in fees. Who in the hell will do that?

With the Dencun upgrade coming a few weeks from now, it focuses on security, scalability, and reducing its gas fees. I hope that this will be the solution to the ridiculous high transaction fees. Surprisingly, there are still new projects that are being created under Ethereum Blockchain. Well, as for other competitors (projects), I look at Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism.

Excuse me, but how can Solana be a competitor if its network is not working (several times a half a year) - and this happens quite steadily. BTC - as far as I'm concerned was and will be the very first competitor. If suddenly ETH capitalization will be higher, then it will take the 1st place in the market ranking. The other cryptocurrencies that are lower on the list are not worth paying attention to, as far as I'm concerned. If we are talking about comparison.

P.S. Again, not trying to force my thoughts on anyone. If you think otherwise, it is quite your right. But specifically in this issue, I see the picture a little differently. And in time, we'll see who was right.  :D

Yeah Solana has enormous potential to catch up with BNB because so far Solana is a new project that is still developing with its ability to carry out more transactions than the BNB network and has cheaper fees than BNB. With these advantages it can be a weapon to beat BNB.

I don't think the BNB chain will be quickly overtaken by Solana in terms of capitalization or ecosystem. The BNB chain is still developing strongly and has been competing fiercely with Ethereum since 2020, while the Solana ecosystem has just been revived by the memecoins trend.

In terms of structure, the BNB chain is similar to Ethereum, and the BNB chain is also deploying Layer-2 solutions such as opBNB to better serve the needs of users. Conversely, Solana has high speed right at Layer-1 but lacks stability and needs to be further improved.

The BNB chain and Solana are following two different paths, I like to see coexistence and competition because competition creates development  ;D

SOL suffered its biggest fall precisely because of the FTX exchange, which was its main backer and investor
it's important to think that if Binance suffers more sanctions or is banned from some countries, BNB could suffer a lot too

In my opinion, the best thing for a network and currency is not to be linked to CEX

you are right, solana is the best competitor for ethereum, and also BNB. Although many people say it is difficult for solana and BSC to overtake ethereum because we all know ethereum is the second ranking coin after bitcoin on CMC, it is very popular and many whales invest in ethereum. Until now, we have always seen ethereum moving quite well in the market, and it has always been a priority coin alongside Bitcoin as number one.

It is impossible to know for sure who is a competitor to Ethereum, one can only guess and one can guess by simply looking at the chart on coinmarketcap for the top 10 coins and everyone who is there, not counting Stable Coins , can be direct competitors to Ethereum.

To determine who are Ethereum's competitors, I think you can look at the projects owned by Ethereum and look at several projects from Binance Smart Chain and the Solana Project which seem almost the same but have very different levels of fees and transaction speeds.

Looking at coinmarketcap, it looks like Solana and BNB will be the biggest competitors because Solana and BNB continue to approach the Ethereum coin.
Judging from the community, there are quite a lot of Solana and BNB coins and can almost approach the Ethereum community, but for now Ethereum is still very strong to be beaten and overtaken.

But maybe it's better if we have these three coins, Ethereum, BNB and Solana to hold.
Maybe next time the prices of Ethereum, BNB and Solana coins will increase more than 10x from the current price, cryptocurrency is always full of magic.

Yes, you are right, they both have different projects but I think the goal is quite the same, both have the goal of creating a blockchain network that has very cheap transaction costs and has high transaction speeds that are widely used by the public along with the development of digital currencies.

You mean the same Solana that goes out of the network every 2 month? What's the point of been a scalable blockchain when you run out due to excess data and don't mine block for that particular time. I will reconsider Solana as the best after Ethereum when it does a year without going offline for a minute.

I just think that even with the hype surrounding Solana, if it manage to become the next big thing with scalability, it can't reach Ethereum just the same way Ethereum can't reach Bitcoin. These projects are all unique in their way and can't be compare to one another.

Though we may not have to doubt about this fact been that Ethereum is the king of altcoins, but however, we also have to consider some of its competitors and they can be the most closet coins near the stand of where Ethereum is, all we could look into is the market capitalization of the coin next to it, such could be termed as its competitor and we have as many as possible coins available in this regard to compete base on the coinmarketcap ranking.

Who's the best platform at the coming future?
but the main question here is that will SOLANA can really break Ethereum in ranking? I mean is there will be time soon that We will see Solana in 2nd position from bitcoin like how it keeps holding now?
anyway lets see what will happen in the future , though this year or the next may not be the best interest for now.

So far, when you look at Ethereum position which is at the top of all altcoins, the trading volume that Ethereum has is very large. Ethereum presence was earlier than Solana's, but development on Ethereum has stopped with many problems that it has experienced and until now there are no There are efforts from Vitalik Buterin to overcome this problem. As long as Solana is still developing and consistent in always providing the best for its supporters then it is definitely only a matter of time, Ethereum will be defeated by Solana.

I think this is just a matter of time because so far Ethereum still has problems that have not yet been fixed, so there is the possibility of new projects such as Binance Smart Chain, and Solana which will replace the Ethereum network. Ethereum must immediately fix the problems it is experiencing to continue to have the largest volume for altcoins.

It is difficult for ethereum to die because it has a large community as the number 2 coin after bitcoin even though there are many competitors such as those you mentioned polkadot, avalanche, Algorand, Cardano, and Solana. but you forgot to mention that BNB or Binance smart chain is also the closest competitor to ethereum

To be honest, I think the bnb chain will never be the closest competitor to Ethereum. At least because the bnb chain is more centralized, which means it is less secure. For comparison, the bnb chain has 55 validators, and only 40 of them are active, while Ethereum has already more than 1 million active validators.

Becoming a Validator is not easy because it requires a computer with very large specifications. Meanwhile, the prizes you get are not that much. Meanwhile, Ethereum may have many Validators because it is very profitable. When you become a validator for Ethereum, you may be able to get more results from Ethereum.

In order to be the closest competitor to Ethereum, other coins must be close to Ethereum in popularity, while others must be worth the same amount as Ethereum. Among all the altcoins currently in the market, I don't see any coin that has the same popularity as Ethereum and that has a coin price close to the value of Ethereum. If the difference in popularity and price is not close then we can never call them worthy competitors of each other. However, there are some coins in the market that are quite promising and popular enough, even if they are not worthy competitors. While BNB may not come close to Ethereum, it goes without saying that its popularity will definitely rank third.

This popularity can be achieved when BNB and Solana have projects that are very useful for society, so I suggest that these two projects remain focused on providing the best in terms of security, transaction costs and transaction speed which must be paid attention to so that more and more people use BNB and Solana in the future.

BNB and Solana have shown good performance and the project really helps us in transactions because of lower gas fees and faster transactions compared to ethereum. It looks like the two will compete fiercely in the future and perhaps one of them will become a replacement for ethereum

Currently, BNB and Solana are the best choices for making transactions because they have cheaper transaction fees than Ethereum. However, I have seen several cases where Solana has increased transaction fees in the recent past. I don't understand why this could happen. Hopefully Solana is aware of this activity and fixes it soon so that Solana will continue to provide lower fees than the BSC network.

Due to the density of transactions on Solana, it creates problems on the network, so that several days we see the Solana network going down. The gas fee increase may be a strategy from the dev team. but for me Solana and BNB are still cheaper than ethereum

For now, it seems like BNB is indeed the biggest competitor for Ethereum. However, you should be able to see that currently there are several technologies that are also developing and have the opportunity to beat the Ethereum and BNB networks. There is the Solana Network which is currently being well developed and is already in the top five of coinmarketcap.

At the moment there is no worthy competitor to Bitcoin in the market just like I think there is no worthy competitor to Ethereum. Bitcoin has a very important position in the market whereas Ethereum has a single important position in the market. Just as there is a difference in popularity and value between Ethereum and Bitcoin, there is a significant difference in popularity and value between Ethereum and other coins in the market. But if the popularity and price difference is not equal then we cannot consider that coin as a worthy competitor to another coin. If BNB ever approaches Ethereum in value and popularity, BNB will surely be a worthy competitor to Ethereum.

I agree with you. At only 4 years old, Solana is already competing in the top 5 coins, this is quite a great achievement from the Solana team. By looking at this, if the team is consistent in improving the Solana project, competing in the top 3 is something that makes sense in the next few years.

ETH is a very popular coin and after BTC it is in the 2nd position with huge market cap and huge market cap. So far there is no altcoin that can compete with ETH. BTC is the first cryptocurrency coin so no other coin can compare with it.  But I don't think any other coin besides Bitcoin can surpass ETH in terms of marketcap. So I think that no big competition has been created for them yet.

It's true that at the moment nothing will ever match Bitcoin, but for Ethereum I can't say there's nothing that will match it because so far there have been many new projects created and trying to beat Ethereum by exploiting Ethereum's weaknesses in terms of transaction fees which are quite expensive. and other problems that Ethereum cannot fix.

Bitcoin is difficult to compete with because as a pioneer of crypto, ethereum seems to have many new projects designed to compete with ethereum. BSC and Solana, these are the two closest competitors to ethereum. And we don't know in 3 years whether BNB and Solana will overtake ethereum

Even though ETH is very popular and used by many people, good news such as an Ethereum ETF still cannot have a good impact on Ethereum price movements which still tend to be stable at around $3.5k - $3.8k. Supposedly, when good news about the Ethereum ETF is received, the price of Ethereum can increase to $10k.

I don't consider Avalanche to be competitor of Ethereum as it's based on Ethereum itself. Solv protocol, Radix — never heard of those and that means they are nowhere close to Ethereum.

Ethereum price could rise to 10K? Isn't the bitcoin price currently experiencing a correction? Even though the ethereum ETF is approved, the influence of bitcoin movements is still more influential than ETFs, that's in my opinion and observation. It's not that easy for ethereum to rise if the price of bitcoin declines.

Ethereum's biggest competitors are not one, two, or three. They are really many. I am going to state them one after the other.
1. Solana, 2. BNB, 3. Avalanche, 4. Ada, and 5. Polkadot.

All these competitors of ethereum run on their blockchain and they tends to be a better alternative to ethereum in taking up fast transactions and having low fees charge than ethereum

I only consider Solana as a competitor out of ones you mentioned.

BNB is heavily centralized, plus it's gonna take huge hit when Binance falls. Avalanche, have used it several times, it's plagued with same problems as ethereum, and I'm sure it's less decentralized than ethereum, so what's the use? Cardano has been in market since ages and have done nothing, I see no hope from it. Polkadot is in same league as Avalanche.

Had it been BNB isn't utility for Binance, bnb would have been one of the most demanding altcoin agree ethereum but it's usage is revolved around the exchange, the Dex activities is not that serious like the last bull run or could it be because CZ influence is no longer there again for the people to build around bnb. Nevertheless, Sol is what I think is the best thing after Ether, it might not be that too decentralized but they are almost the same with ethereum because ethereum runs on proof of stake while Solana runs on proof of history.

Ethereum doesn't have any competition in cryptocurrency market. There have a lot ok killers in the past and yet none have been able to come near to what it has become. Solana was considered that it would become an Ethereum killer but it has not. Currently it's network congestion is at the highest point sice April. BNB is heavily centralized and BSC is a copy of Ethereum. I have not seen till now any cryptocurrency has such a big ecosystem like Ethereum. May be in the future we all might find a better crypto than Ethereum.

Well, I dont agree with that. Even though that's a critical fact that they need to be cheap and fast, they also need to be reliable, secure and well-developed in terms of ecosystem.

I don't consider, that ETH competitors should attract the community only on the basis of low transaction fees and high scalability. DOT is a completely different thing compared to others, ADA can be considered a famous Babay competitor these days as now they are out of business. AVAX is a good one but cant compete in my views due to an insignificantly developed ecosystem.

SOL is somehow comparable but as I said ETH competitors should not be only fast and developed but also secure and efficient SOL showed many shutdowns back in a few years and this makes it unreliable even though now they are doing better. Even in the high gas fees issue, ETH is surviving and now with the L2's ecosystem ETH is invincible and i dont consider anytime soon anyone making a noise against ETH except SOL as its really developing super fast still reliability is a question.

Facts! All L2s center around Ethereum and they are only making Ethereum stronger, also Vitalik is young and smart, I'm sure he has plenty ideas for Ethereum, so there ought to be quality updates which will keep improving the network.

I think BNB, Solana and TON can challenge Ethereum market but they will need a lot of improvement. Ethereum has been dominating the altcoins maket for more than a decade. Solana and TON have recently got the hype due to meme coins and P2E games. How long are they able to maintain the hype will decide whether they can compete with the king of altcoins.

It took a long time to be able to compete with the king of altcoins, ethereum. because ethereum is more popular and has been used in many projects. BNB, Solana, TON are just hype but are not as strong and popular as ethereum which has been integrated in many projects. Maybe in the future, there will be a replacement network for ethereum, but in the near future ethereum is still the strongest.

I don't sure yet with TON behind their coins price still more lower drastically to be Ethereum competitor in the future, need more longer time around five until ten years later but Ethereum has potential break out more higher price and leave TON still on cheapest price.
In my opinion, BNB has potential to be Ethereum competitor but its not easy reach the higher price of ethereum keep consistent following Bitcoin price. Seems BNB can break out to the higher price but easily getting large correction amount when bitcoin price dropping.

Currently, it has two competitors on the Coinmarketcap list, namely BNB and Bitcoin, all three have similar beginnings in terms of initial price, in further development Ethereum takes second place. It will be interesting to see what will happen next, whether places will be changed or whether there will be a third competitor.

BNB is no competition to Ethereum, it's centralized, literally single entity handles it (that being Binance) and suffers from same congestion issues as Ethereum. Plus, if Ethereum solves it's scalability issues, BNB and plenty other similar Ethereum copies has 0 use.

Also to add, Ethereum's genesis block was created in 2015, so it's yet to be a decade.

I agree that BNB will have a hard time if it wants to compete with Ethereum, but the reality is that currently BNB continues to trail Ethereum. Whether we admit it or not, BNB is liked by many people because transaction fees are cheap when compared to Ethereum. If only Ethereum could overcome the problem of high GAS fees, then Ethereum would be even more invincible.

Among the altcoins, BNB is the only coin to compete with eth. (Eth is a alt coin and bitcoin is bitcoin not a alt. thats why bitcoin can't a competitor Against Eth.) The highest valued altcoin is ETH with a current market value of $2,876.41 and the second highest valued altcoin is BNB with a current market value of $469. but at this moment, the ETH and BNB price has a greater distansity. About $2400.

True, the problem among small investors is that GAS fees are high when transacting ethereum, so that's a bit of a hindrance. while bnb has the advantage of cheaper costs, but that is also a problem because in the end many fraudulent projects are born from this network.

I haven't seen which one will be a competitor to ethereum and I'm not thinking about it either, because right now I'm more focused on seeing which one will be more profitable.  ;D

To be honest, I don't see that difference, because currently there are still many people who use ethereum, even though they have switched to other cheaper networks, but they are still active on the ethereum network.

Even if there is something that can compete with Ethereum, I think we will see that in the future and it will still be a long time before we can see it. Many speculations have emerged, but until now this has not happened.

ethereum is the largest network and is integrated with many large projects, so this network is still widely used. Moreover, large investors prefer to use the ethereum network over others, because high gas fees are not a problem for them. but to be honest, as a small investor, I would really suffer if ethereum gas fees rose high. that's why I switched to Solana, BNB and Tron.

Many top potential coins have Eethereum network and keep raise to higher price than other network, I think its special side of Ethereum make them success raise higher price and difficult for any coins else become the biggest competitor. For ethereum fees currently have drop and I think give benefit for all investor want to make ethereum as their main altcoin investing and benefit for other coins with Ethereum network raise huge transaction in the future.
BNB, Solana and Tron have lower fees but only BNB as the bigger opportunity become competitor for Ethereum in the future exactly the higher price raise.

From the start we talked about high gas fees being a problem for small investors, while for large investors they don't have a problem with it, because they will definitely get much bigger profits. Meanwhile, for small investors, perhaps the gas costs they have to pay will be very noticeable in reducing their profits.

One of our hopes is that we can definitely get lower gas costs that can be felt when transacting on this network.

High gas fees have always been a problem for small investors like us, because our benefits are not much while gas fee is very high, so many are switched to other networks. But for large investors they continue to use expensive networks of gas fees, because with large capital they get big profits.

What we can do is wait until the gas costs we will incur are smaller, and that takes time. so that when we want to quickly make a transaction for one reason or another we can't do it.

But even so, we still hold ethereum because we also see the potential that we will get, even though it is with the thing we are talking about here, namely paying high gas fees. This proves that this coin has a high level of trust, so we are willing to pay higher fees compared to other networks.

Ethereum is the king of altcoins, of course it still has high trust from its community and we know that the ethereum community is very large, especially since many whales still hold large amounts of ethereum and they don't care about high gas fees. Only small investors complain about this gas problem, because for us it is very difficult. We have to wait for the time to make a transaction looking for the right time where the gas fee is cheaper.

I wonder if there are stats that show the average value of ETH transactions to see if the number of "small investors" is huge or not. I found this one[1] and it says the average transaction value is around $3k for 40k transactions, but it's unclear whether most transactions are above the median value. The average fee is also quite small, which can be corroborated with other sources like Etherscan. At the very least, in the last 24 hours, the fees for ETH are quite cheap. Not sure if you interact with smart contracts though. CMIIW.

^ Ethereum gas fees have been pretty cheap since months now, but it's due to low activity, for sure it gonna go back up to its insanity when peak activity happens.

If Ethereum could continue with it's about a dollar gas fee, it's a good network to use (albeit, still expensive compared to Solana and other Layer 2s) but unfortunately it doesn't happen either and easily gets congested during peak times and you see fees shooting up to $20-$100 or even more.

Agree with you that ethereum has a large community so it's not surprising when ethereum is said to be the king of altcoins. Actually, it has been said that big investors or what we often call whales will not mind high gas costs. This is only complained about by small investors.

But once again in reality, even though small investors often complain about the costs they have to pay, they are still loyal to being part of ethereum holders.

Yes, even though ethereum's gas fees are high, many still have it because they hope to make a profit from ethereum during the bullish season, they understand that ethereum is a safe coin to hold long term. but it is possible that ethereum will be replaced by other coins such as BNB and Solana in the future.

Large gap price between BNB and Solana raise the Ethereum price above $3,100 and I think difficult for both top coins BNB and Solana has chance to be great competitor or replacing Ethereum coin in the future.
About fees have been longer time Ethereum has higher fees than other network exactly with BNB or solana coins network, but its not huge problem with many kinds of Ethereum coins network worth it than BNB or solana most of their coins easily become scam has lower fees transaction.
Now ethereum gas fees dropped awhile until 2 gwei or spending under $1 enough for making transaction between sending or approval the erc20 coins for swapping at Uniswap exchange.

^ I don't think BNB will ever replace Ethereum or it'll exist as long as Ethereum will, if you wanna dethrone the coin, then you gotta do better than it whereas BNB is literal copy-cat of Ethereum with much more centralization.

That is also one of the considerations why ethereum is widely held, because this coin is a coin that is considered a safe coin to hold. Ethereum can also often rise in high increments when the bullish season arrives.

If we don't believe in ethereum then we won't hold ethereum. Moreover, as we know, ethereum is the king of altcoins. We learn a lot from experience, and we use that experience as a basis for determining the coins we will hold.

Ethereum is the second coin as a priority in the hold for the long term after Bitcoin, most Whages hold the 2 coins, Bitcoin and Ethereum. I also have both in my wallet and I have targeted to sell it early next year when the bullish season, like many people who have predicted. I'm inclined to believe that ETH has no serious competitors at the moment. Yes, there are already a lot of L2 projects out there, and there are also SOL, BNB, and TON. These alts could be competitors of ETH, but they are still far from it in terms of scale. However, I think that the competitor of ETH will be a coin that will have spot ETFs next after ETH. Most likely, it will be SOL.

It is a good thing for you to do by day trading to take profits. While we hold trusted coins to sell later when they provide high profits, trading is an option that can be used to withdraw profits.

But of course we have to do this with great care, because trading has big risks too. Don't let us experience more losses than profits, even though we will definitely experience losses during trading.

You need experience and expertise in trading, especially since daily trading is fast. We must be able to carry out analysis and predictions for the short term, because the risk is big if we make wrong predictions. If I prefer medium term, if the market experiences a correction I will hold the coins until the market improves again.

Of course, this will require expertise, because if you do it without trading expertise then it's the same as if you were gambling. We have to stick to what we need to know in trading.

Buying during a correction and holding it briefly until the market recovers is also a good way, this again depends on our choice, according to our comfort. If we are more comfortable with trading then do it, conversely if we are more comfortable in holding for a short time that is also a good choice.

Ethereum's main competitors are mainly Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and Solana. These platforms help in fast transaction speed and provide low fees and good contracts. They challenge the greatness of Ethereum. Apart from this, Cardano is also known as an important competitor.

I would say Cardano is no more..

But SOL is the biggest challenger for the ETH blockchain in the coming days, because now SOL is more stable, cheap and fast, TBH with the security rating both stand n the same page, there's just a minor difference between them, yup for the decentralization you can comment but in POS it doesn't matters, as things are connected with other aspects as well on that mechanism.

As the number of transactions increases, it is clear that SOLANA is a good choice, maybe BSC was present before SOLANA, but the existence of Solana is like a complement to previous blockchain services... so the biggest threat to Ethereum right now is SOLANA... price movements for coins $SOL also attracts quite a lot of attention, because it is able to recover more quickly... that might be one of the reasons why SOLANA deserves more attention.

Solana is a potential coin and as a network arena this coin is quite good and can compete with ethereum in the future, binance smart chain and Solana will always compete to be the best competitor for ethereum, time will prove this all. I invested in all three of them, ethereum, BNB and Solana.

Solana and BNB are now key competitors. It will be interesting to see how things evolve over the coming years. BNB has an advantage in terms of price value, while Solana is creating new wallets and gaining many community members and investors. Over the next two years, I don't see either surpassing Ethereum in price.

Vitalik Buterin urged the community to prepare for a potential 51% attack on Ethereum

A 51% attack in the context of Proof-of-Stake is a situation in which an attacker controls more than 50% of all coins blocked to participate in the validation of network blocks. This results in opportunities for:

- manipulation - validate only transactions favorable to attackers and reject or delay others;

- double-spending - performing the same transaction multiple times, defrauding the network;

- history rewriting - make changes to already confirmed blocks, creating alternate chains;

- сensorship - block certain transactions or addresses

To surpass ethereum both solana and BNB will take time to become more popular, but BNB and solana are ethereum's closest competitors, it is likely that in the future we will see tight competition from all three. So this is very beneficial for investors who use ethereum, BNB and solana. If there is competition in gas fees and technology, that is a good thing.

You've made a valid observation about scams been happening on Sol and BNB due to lesser fees. This shows that the high fee of the TX within the ecosystem is a good thing sometimes. I have been joining many BNB and Sol-based platforms in order to get airdrops and believe me. My experience was not as good as it was with ETH-based projects. I had this prediction all the time that if I am spending $10 to $15 for claiming them then I will be making more profit at least.

And speaking of high fees and still having this coin does not make sense, because if you want to buy ETH you can buy it by spending as much fee as you will be spending on any other coin if you are using a centralized exchange like Binance.

BNB and Sol are not the biggest competitors of ETH I think.

It doesn't work that way, scammers will do anything regardless the coins has better fees or not as long as there's a way for them to lure people, this is more effective on new projects where people and new users invest their time and money on the project.

What's wrong on BNB and why majority don't use their blockchain instead is because its kinda centralized than ethereum. ETH is just has shitty tx fees structure even after adapting PoS, but they have large community contributions than other coins behind it like BNB and SOL.

the reason why there are more likely to ne scammers in new projects or coins and tokens with low transaction fees is because not all scammers are rich yet and use expensive tools a lot of scammers are just amateurs trying out first their scamming ways not so sophisticated just yet and so they tend to choose projects that are easily hacked and or manipulated

without a strong security and protection, any kind of scammer will be able to penetrate through their defense

Scammers will surely do anything to lure investors and normies and yeah this mostly happens in new projects because they bring their ICOs and private sales etc. Most of these projects try the method of airdrop to get some popularity among investors and once new investors hear about these projects they invest and end up a victim of rug pull etc. I agree with the fact that scammers will choose any network but ETH' rate for such rug pull and useless projects is lower.

You are right, Ethereum really has a larger community and contributors than Sol and BNB. I did not know that there is a level of centralization among these alts i.e. ETH, BNB, and SOL. In my sight, if an alt is centralized it's centralized regardless of any level.

Don't underestimate scammers most of them do it for a living. Regardless the fees of coins, they will still do things especially if the projects attract many users, many users means higher chance they can get a victim.

If this true about scammers in low tx fee coins, then how can you explain those scammed users from those tokens on erc20 knowing it's fees just get doubled and double each time congestion occurs .

Exactly, scammers can be seen on any platform, to be precise, but you will observe them more on these new platforms where most created their projects on the blockchain with possibly lower fees where cheaper and faster fund transfer is always the advantage for its users as well as scammers who will take the advantage of it.

Well, I would say that majorly every Altcoin project that has built or is building their own blockchain (EVM or NON-EVM compatible) is an ethereum competitor, and speaking of the biggest competitor of this blockchain network, there is actually no permanent major competitor, any project can become a major ethereum competitor depending on, or considering some factors.

And based on my own factors, I would say that the major competitor of ethereum at this very moment is Ton blockchain, even though Ton is still very far behind ethereum in terms of marketcap, Ton network seems to be the only blockchain growing at a very fast speed at this very moment.

Your interest in TON Coin and your investment plan sounds great.  TON's development and community growth could prove to be a powerful project indeed.  If you are expecting a bullish season at the end of the year, this may be a good time to hold the investment.  It is always a good practice to re-evaluate your decisions based on market conditions and future plans for the project.

Yes, it seems like TON is showing good progress this year, TON can be a competitor to ethereum if we talk about platforms that build their own blockchain (EVM or NON-EVM compatible) as you said. but there are other platforms that are currently popular and close to ethereum such as BNB and Solana.

As I said before I only have a TON because my investments are mostly in bitcoin, ethereum and BNB. Maybe if the market experiences another correction I plan to buy TON to prepare for the bullish season next year. I will collect the profits from my trading results to buy TON. Because I see the development of this coin is quite good, it looks like it will have a bright future.

TON have good developtment but not sure will be biggest competitor for Ethereum regarding have most lower price comparison with Ethereum. But TON is very worth for investing with lower price and potential in the future they have telegram as back up or support such as BNB with Binance exchange.
TON could be long term investment and make accumulate in daily day around hundred dollar, must invest with TON because have lower price and the future potential for TON will break out higher price.

Near close become Ethereum competitor currently is BNB have good trend raise to higher price, if keep consistent I believe one day later has opportunity for BNB become great competitor for Ethereum but still need waiting right moment.

Many predict BNB will become a competitor of Ethereum, we have heard this well in the future but until now Ethereum has always been the strongest. Lately, we hear that Tenatng Solana is also a competitor etehreum and the last ton as an Ethereum killer. We just see the competition in the future, which coins will succeed in defeating the dominance of Ethereum which is always in Rank 2.

It is too early to think that TON can be the competitor for Ethereum. BNB and SOL are the coins that can compete ETH in the future. Now, I still don't see the real competitor of ETH, the market cap of BNB and SOL are still too far to reach ETH market cap. BNB, SOL, and TON may offer cheaper price but it still can't improve much the market cap. We still can't say these coins as the competitor of Ethereum now.

How do you conclude that BNB is nearing Ethereum?
Even USDT market cap isn't a half of Ethereum market cap. So far, Ethereum has no competitor but we don't know what will happen in the future. However, I can agree that BNB, SOL, and TON may be the competitor of Ethereum someday.

Apple killed my Mac mini hot rodding business in 2012. I had a shop filled with parts and all of the new macs could not be upgraded. So I started building some pc's.  I would go on anandtech and that is when I found out about bitcoin then bitcointalk.

I am not sure why this was posted here. I was answering the thread that was asking how did you get into bitcoin. I will try to find correct thread and move this.

Ethereum is the second  biggest crypto in cryptocurrency market. I also think that gradually it’s price will increase. So i cannot see the biggest competitors without bitcoin in cryptocurrency market. But if we saw BNB, SOLANA and TON which will be competitor for ethereum. Because if we follow in the market cap, we can see that BNB, SOLANA and TON is also increase its market cap. At last i told that in futures TON, BNB and SOLANA will achieve best stage in cryptocurrency world.

actually it still takes a long time for BNB, Solana, TON to compete with ethereum. Because until the next few years ethereum is still strong and hard to beat, if that's according to my analysis. Ethereum dev has also made improvements to its project and the biggest problem is that ethereum gas fees are also getting lower.

Well, as far as I am concerned the observation you have made is, I fully, one hundred percent a hundred percent with you! Ethereum is still very powerful to date, especially after the various changes they have made, notably on the aspect of low gas fees. Although there is still much potential in BNB, Solana, and TON it is still not enough for them to rival Ethereum which they latter need more time and more innovation for. But what is interesting is the fact that such a competition makes the technological progress even faster and as, who knows, in the next few years, they can bring something unexpected. But for now, it looks like even the biggest players cannot contend with Ethereum.

BNB, Solanan and TON can be competitors of ethereum if their capitalization can approach ethereum, if seen from now it is quite far so I feel BNB, Solanan and TON in the near future will not be able to compete with ethereum. Moreover, we also see that ethereum gas fee is almost the same as solana, so ethereum is getting stronger now because ethereum dev is improving its project.

True competition will spur the dev team of each coin to make improvements to their projects, this will benefit us as users of ethereum, BNB, Solana and TON. Isn't progress and improvement what we always want? Vitalic and team have done it. Ethereum is the king of altcoins, as many people say. And he will always be king for the next 5 years according to my prediction.

It is not in the near future that TON, BNB can compete with ETH in price, but for the sending network I think BNB and TON are ETH's competitors at the moment, it should be noted that everything needs a process to become the best

I withdrew TON as Ethereum competitor after the developer of TON Pavel Durov get under arrest and seems small opportunities in the future have the same values with ETH because TON price very cheap and large gap with Ethereum price. I think large comparison between Ethereum and TON are recently coins released last several years ago than Ethereum have been most experience coins keep increasing price year by year.
That TON, in my opinion the ethereum bigger competitor seems BNB because price keep increasing every day and they have many interested offer to make BNB price keep going up.

In my opinion BNB and Solana will become competitors for ethereum in the future. BNB continues to make several improvements in its system to make investors more comfortable. and even though the price is still far above ethereum, no one can predict that in the future if ethereum has not made any improvements to its system, and is satisfied with the current system. perhaps ethereum will be eliminated by its competitors

TON is a potential coin but it still takes a long time to be able to compete with ethereum.

There are attempts of competition now, but I think ETH will probably always be the top 1 among alts. The funny fact is that the number of addresses and transactions in the Solana network is much higher than in the ETH network, but at the same time, the number of dapps and DEX trading volume in the ETH network is higher.

It is a fact that ethereum remains the most popular among other altcoins, especially now that ethereum dev has resolved the hgh gas fee issue, this makes ethereum stronger and more popular. many big investors still believe in ethereum, so I think for the next few years ethereum will remain the best in altcoins.

Of course. In order to remain relevant and intact in the market Ethereum has always sought to evolve and enhance the infrastructure that underlies it. This is because the platform is increasingly undergoing development and its functionalities employed by many investors, again proving a constant strategy to respond to challenges or meet users’ requirements to keep the platform relevant and dominant within the crypto market.

Ethereum seems to have made many improvements in its project because we know that there is a network that is starting to approach Ethereum's dominance as a coin that ranks second on CMC, BNB and Solana are Ethereum's closest competitors, and we see that Ethereum gas fees are also cheap again and can compete with Solana.

Agree. These altcoins have a chance to compete with Ethereum. BNB is the coin of biggest exchange in the world, it is also used for many purposes. Meanwhile Solana and Ton are experiencing big improvements in this year. These have nice networks that are supported by a lot of people. If these coins become stronger in the future, it is not impossible that Ethereum market caps will be overtaken by these altcoins. However, I think it will take a long time to compete with Ethereum.

In my opinion, ethereum still has strength in its system. So for now it is still difficult for other altcoins such as BNB and SOL to compete. Other coins tend to trend for a short time and then become unstable again

Yes, Ethereum has a large community and is among the best loved coins by the investors after Bitcoin. Ethereum’s greatest asset is in the number of applications that are supported by its blockchain - such as DeFi and NFTs. Though BNB, Solana and TON are capable of being a competitor, they will take time and be able to get closer to the market capitalization of Ethereum.

I also think that within the next few years technological growth and application of these coins will be a key driver in their stance within the market. And only if BNB, Solana, and TON can do the same thing and gain more users, which is possible, they can overcome Ethereum, but as you mentioned, it may take quite a long time to see a significant change in market cap.
