This is quit impressive, seeing the togetherness in bringing forth the necessary independence in the crypto space. But i think there should be a rethink, knowing fully well that the current administration are still in power and majority of them are possibly anti-crypto supporters(not sure if that is a proper word).

Definitely, we all want all government that would put the crypto community at heart, but our involvement in the political space should be done carefully.

If a pro-crypto candidate wins the 2024 election, the crypto price will definitely skyrocket.

I believe that this money comes from people who have investments related to cryptocurrencies and are trying to influence politicians by reducing taxes or enacting legislation that protects investors. All of this happened because of the FTX scandal and the increasing popularity of cryptocurrencies, so it is nothing more than a part of corporate investment, just as giants do Oil, shale oil, electric car industry and other economic topics of interest to voters.

However, the article does not indicate which candidates for the US Congress they are going to support. This is probably due to the fact that the election race is just beginning and potential candidates have not yet expressed their attitude towards cryptocurrency. The mechanism and timing of the transfer of the collected $78 million are also not entirely clear. Apparently, the money will be transferred to support already elected congressmen who support cryptocurrency. Well, it's an interesting initiative.
