Karma is given by Sr. Members and above as an appreciation for the valuable contribution that you have made. Its normally a Thank / Punish button. If they feel like thanking you for your post, you get +Karma. If they punish you for violating forum rules /spamming, you get - Karma.
If you got more - Karma, you'll not be allowed to withdraw the tokens or participate in airdrops/Bounties. A recent announcement made by the admin shows that you can even exchange your Karma for ALTs.

I see, thank you for sharing the information of karma.  Pressing thanks will get +karma and punish for -karma right?.

It's a system that mirrors the merit system from bitcointalk, except that the karma you get doesn't affect your rank.  It's useful because people can easily identify those who are useful to the community, or at least viewed as useful by the community.  It may get used for something else later on, but who knows.  It's a good thing overall.  Oh, getting negative karma really impacts you badly as well, so it's important to never get dinged by making shitposts everywhere.  Some bounties wont even accept people with negative karma.

Yes it is important. It is a kind of proof that you are a good member in this forum and I'm sure that after few years this forum will grow and every member that has a positive karma will become one of the trusted members in this forum. So as an early adopters I think let us desire it to have some.

I don't know what happened but i gained 2 negative karma and my 1 refferal was gone. I just checked my account and saw the negative karmas. I am not active lately so maybe that triggers it. I don't know.

I think you violate some rules that results in negative karma as it is right now. Try to remember/recall what you did before you have negative karma in your account and you would know why you have negative karma.

Karma is like positive and negative trust from BTT, it is something that is speaking to the community in this forum about how good you are and how you should not to be trusted. But here as an early adopters you can remove negative karma by using your points, just make an appeal.

If you post a lot of garbage and a lot of people punish your posts eventually you will have negative karma.  It's a deterrent to prevent shitposting and spamming nonsense all over the forums in order to increase your rank.  Many of the bounties on here will not allow participation if you have negative karma, so you have to be careful to not post garbage.

For my thoughts Karma is just like the Trust in Bitcoin talk which refered on how serious you are by following the rules in this fprum. And if you disobeyed simply give you negative karma.

Well, my understanding of karma will be if your post is very knowledgeable and informative, which the member on higher rank likes it, they will give you the karma. But I think karma also have positive karma and also negative karma.

Karma is important of this forum cos you can see the positive and negative sides of your post, like what you have posted is nonsense you got negative and if it is good post you get positive so from here you must be watchful.

Ok. Meaning all members have an opportunity to send karma as long as they reach the sr rank here. Fair forum.

Karma is very important in my opinion. because karma can get more points for positive Karma. but gets negative karma, it can reduce our points a lot. so we must always be careful if you want to comment. comment comments do not leave the topic and also try to post a positive comment.

As far as I know, as a beginner, the karma points given to you can be exchanged with alternative coins. karma will be given to you if you make useful posts or help senior members in a forum.
Title: Re: Karma
Post by: Arendra on August 10, 2018, 08:43:53 AM
karma is the point that senior members will give you if you make a useful post or help others. when you get plus karma, you will get somegood points and trust from the members here. if your karma are negative, you will lose some points of yours. And of course you will lose some trust from other members in the altcoinstalks forum.

There are 2 types of karma that you must know, namely negative karma and positive karma. Negative karma will be given if the posts you make are not in accordance with the rules in the altcoinstalk forum. Or you give negative comments so your points will decrease. And positive karma will be given if your post is useful to others or you make positive comments. This means you will get additional points.

Karma is used to withdraw tokens right? So if a user don't have karma then that means he/she won't be able to withdraw his/her altcoin

Karma is a reward gotten based on your input and contribution in the forum.
There are two types of karma which are:
(1) Positive karma (2) Negative karma

(1)Positive karma: this is a karma given on a good quality post which is very useful and also in line with the rules and regulations of the forum, it is given as an appreciation.
(2) Negative karma: this is the kind of karma given to a bad post which is useless and also violates the rules and regulations of the forum, this karma is given as a punishment.

Karma point is not a very important extra power.  If your post is good then giving like or thanks will give you positive karma.  Besides, Karma has no power.

Karma and points are both valuable to you.  Points give you based on the post.  And Karma gives you based on the quality of the port.

Karma is a very important issue for ID. The good side for positive karma ID and the threat for negative karma ID. So we have to stay away from negative karma. And the way to stay away from negative karma is to refrain from posting good quality spamming.
