Title: Suggestions on altcoin with low transaction fees?
Post by: Tribalchief on December 26, 2023, 03:09:46 AM
There have been slight increases in Bitcoin transaction fees recently. Ethereum has consistently experienced similar issue, which doesn't make much of a difference. I would like to know about other altcoins with low transaction fees.

Yeah Btc transaction fees have increased due to the mempool been congested so miners would prefer to confirm transactions with an higher fees. Now back to the topic There are actually various types of well known altcoins with low transactions  fees  :)
These Altcoins includes:

Stellar also known as ( XLM), NANO, Litcoin (LTC),  Cardano (ADA) and TRON (TRX) etc.

All those coins listed above have low transactions fees and are also fast in transactions. Now it is up to you to make yah choice :D

I would say Bitcoin cash if you finding a coin you can transfer to your wallet to hold while looking forward to ETF approval since its performance is most times related to BTC.
Others have already been mentioned by other users already. Maybe USDT too, easy to convert to other coins.

XRP is one of the popular altcoins used for transferring funds from exchanges or personal wallets. If you have an issue with it since it has become controversial and still has a pending case, then another suggestion would be Doge. You just have to check from time to time because there are instances when it also experiences network traffic. Here's a link if you want to monitor and compare with other cheap alternatives like LTC https://blockchair.com/dogecoin/charts/average-transaction-fee-usd

There are many options in which altcoins have low withdrawal or transaction fees if this is not for transferring funds from exchange to exchange I suggest use Dogecoin.
Almost all exchanges support this coin but if you want to transfer coins/tokens from exchange to exchange I suggest check the exchange they should have a list of coins/token fees sample Binance link below and then search to any coins with low fees that also support to other exchange.

I think that best alternative with low transaction fees is monero, and you are going to have additional benefit of much better privacy than with bitcoin.
It's easy to do atomic swap and exchange bitcoin to monero and vice versa, and you don't even have to use centralized exchanges for that.
Good about monero is that it is decentralized, unlike most of other altcoins.

You might want to check this website for fees:

I happen to be an entrepreneur, and in my established business, I accept Bitcoin and a few other cryptocurrencies as a means of payment. Bitcoin transaction fees have been a mess in the past few months because of the congestion in the mempool that has arisen due to the case of the ordinals. Other cryptos I accept include Litecoin, BNB, Doge, Matic, and Tron. These few alt coins that I mentioned have a very low and fair transaction fee.

Altcoins are good for your transactions if those transaction values are small. If you want to move a transaction with big value, use Bitcoin. It's a safest, most secure blockchain for big fund movement.

Smart contract altcoins are more risky than Proof of Work altcoins because compromise can happen with smart contracts more easily than attack a Proof of Work network.

About PoW network, you can use this https://howmanyconfs.com/ for estimation of how many PoW altcoin confirmations are equivalent tô Bitcoin confirmations.

USDT and other stable coin is fine option, although make sure you sue those stable coin on network which has low transaction fee. For example, you probably want to avoid using USDT on ETH or Omni (BTC) network.

Even though the Bitcoin network will go back to normal, most of us can't still afford the fee. As alternative, I use XRP if I'm going to withdraw some funds because not only you will get a lower fee but a also a fast transaction.

But if you are going to just hodl BTC and only want to take some of your funds if you badly need it or emergencies, then it would be better to use BSC network. You can't just hodl BTC but also can guarantee a lower fee.

You can use XRP or LTC for low transaction fees. I've been using it ever since if there's a surge in the price of Bitcoin transaction fees which is also the problem even before or if it takes a lot of time for Bitcoin transactions to have confirmations of transfer. Sometimes it takes a few days to confirm the transfer which is really frustrating.

I found out that tron has become one of the worst altcoins for sending USDT, and I see people all the time asking for tron donation to sent their transactions.
Only way to use it with low fees if you stake large amounts of tron, do voting and bunch of other stuff, so I would just avoid that circus all together.
Instead of using altcoins and paying additional fee for buying them and exchanging from bitcoin, you can also use second layer solutions like Liquid network, or Lightning Network.

Most of the altcoins that are in the top 20 have low to very low transaction fees.

The last time I used Ethereum to transact was when I wanted to join an airdrop where I paid 6$ for a gas fee. Kind of high, but it's ok. I also used Cardano, and the fees are kind of low as well compared to both Bitcoin and Ethereum. Cosmos is mostly what I'm using to make transactions, and the gas fees are very low. IIRC, it's around a cent for every transaction or even lower.

Overall, many altcoins out of the top 20 or even the top 50 have low transaction fees because most of them prioritize low transaction fees over everything. :)

Many layer 1 and layer 2 altcoins have low transaction fees. Such as Tron Network, Waves, Celo, Avax, Arbitrum, Polygon and many more. Even those that are still in the same ecosystem as Bitcoin, such as BCH, also have low transaction fees. But that's in delivery between wallets. But for deliveries between Cex, I am most comfortable with Tron. Because the fees for almost all Cex are always the same if you use Tron, which is around 1 trx.

That's a really biased way to express security by power consumption, you would till need 100k L7 to do a 51% attack and it's highly unlikely that much gear will ever be available on the market. Besides this thing:
Quote
SHA-256 @ 556,427 PH/s = 16 GW
is invalid if we think S21, a 200th/3.5KW the figure above becomes 9.73GW so suddenly the network is half less secure?  ;D

There are many options in which altcoins have low withdrawal or transaction fees if this is not for transferring funds from exchange to exchange I suggest use Dogecoin.

I'm surprised the majority isn't pointing at doge, it's the cheapest one, it's damn fast and most importantly is also widely accepted, plus unlike stablecoins you're at no risks of getting your coins frozen out of nowhere.
Anyhow, I would like to point out another thing:
Bitcoin fees are way DOWN right now since December 26th, next block fee is just 30sat/vb.

Ethereum has always been high and it's known for this already before now, Bitcoin will soon finds a final solution to that as soon as the developers community arrived at a concession, meanwhile there have been times whereby the transaction fee comes down and it's affordable to pay, all you could probably do is to keep track on the mempool to know what's going on with the current transaction fee rate before making your transactions, as for now, you can make use of Litecoin in making transactions, it's one of the lowest fee rate for making transactions.

Bitcoin pool have so many unconfirmed transactions (more than 250k) which will not allow transaction fee to become down. I checking fee in mempool for more than 3 days and observed that lowest fee is 31 sat/vb which will cost almost 2$. Still we can say that fee is high for normal transaction. devolpers should do something to process high number of transaction in less time. Speed and fee are two biggest problem BTC currently facing. It is better than many fiat system but in term of crypto there are so many alternative which are faster and charging low fee.

LTC is best choice as it is more decentralized and also available in every exchange. Solona, Bnb and matic are also low fee coin which could be used for transaction.
