Teleported members know the importance of notification of the mention and specific board. From the first day I checked all options but I didn't found it. The only notification I getting in Gmail are of direct messages. The notification has many benefits included
Real time updates:
Emergency updates:
Community Interaction:
Timely Responses:
Networking Opportunities:
If anyone agree that notification system should be here in this forum kindly share your thoughts. Telegram bot notification will be extra benefits if it is added. Waiting for response.

A thread like this has been opened before https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=181396.msg997599#msg997599 About the Telegram bot, the one used by bitcointalk is own by TryNinja except he chooses to share it here or a member here makes something similar then it wouldn't be possible.
Everybody agrees that the notification section makes things easier and more organize while locating thread of board you interested in.

It doesn't have to be exclusively a Telegram bot, it's perfectly fine for it to be via email or just as a feature on the forum. I am fine if I have a tab where I can see unread posts in which I have been mentioned.
Regularly checking the topic can be tiring, and a waste of time, especially when spammers fill up the thread.

Or may be we should invite TryNinja and request for a telegram bot like as @BTTSuperNotifier_bot.
Actually I am also missing the bot here, specially boards tracking, Topic Tracking, Users Tracking, and also the mentions :'(

I will try to elaborate something simpler than LoyceV or Tryninja Bots.
I will see if I can create something using the search function, thus might work and will be easy to implement and cheap to maintain.
I will make some tests for me and release if it's good enough

The updates in Bitcointalk were not from the administrator and it took a long time to be in its current form, so it is natural that altcointalk forum needs more time. I did not use notifications in BTT forum, so I do not see it as an urgent necessity, especially since the accounts here are still new and it is easy to search previous posts. Perhaps the most important option currently is mentioning.

We all suffer from the same problem, there is only a notification of personal messages on the email, there is no notification of mentions, quotes, or new replies.
Regardless of the Telegram bot, why are there no notifications in the mail to alert at least that there are new responses to the topics?
We are still missing a lot of things here.

Yes telegram is not the first priority and could be only added once mail notification turned on. Admin is working on it but I think he has lot of function to add in less time because high number of BTT community teleported to this forum and looking for same features they already familiar in other forum.
We have to check each thread again for new reply ,new mention which is not looking better. Notification makes our work more easy .

I posted about notification bot long time ago here on forum because i was using first LoyceV bot from BTT and that one already was a blessing for me, thanks to notifications we are on time with everything what is important for us nut not only, thanks to additional features one wont miss anything and this is most important
I have weaken up my thread, shared link to this one and hope that soon we will have "notification bot" also here on Altcoinstalks, maybe we will be able to use tryNinja one, would be great, we will see, let's do it!

I think this must be community driven, just like in bitcointalk, where we already had several users making different kinds of notification bots.
I have been trying to figure out how to create one, but I have limited resources in my server and I wasn't able to find a solution yet.

Do you have any idea what the server requirements are for something like a notification bot?
Maybe you are looking for advice on BTT from someone who has already successfully created any kind of bot.

I am planning to make a bot similar to the one I use in bitcointalk, designed by LoyceV
I dont use Telegram and I don't plan to use it.

If I don't get any help to login using CURL (with some special login URL, like bitcointalk has) I will Python or NodeJs on the server. Then I will use a headless browser and I will login easily and get new messages using the search function.
I won't create an achieve of all posts like LoyceV and Ninja do, and it wont be necessary just for the notification bot.

It would be great if you could share an API for the scraped data. I would test and try it for the telegram notification I'm planning to create since you don't have a plan to create one.

Yes, I think it's a great step by both of them to even think about creating a bot like that. Many people will truly appreciate the bot and will use it on daily basis to get notifications. I believe most of the members will go for the Telegram bot as they use Telegram on daily basis, and it can be easily task to check Telegram every once in a while.

I also wish we had that here, on the other forum I improved my posting habit because of the notification bot, I get notifications on my favorite categories and discussions and I get to know who mentioned my name so I can get back to give answers or reply, I believe we will have that eventually the forum has a lot of categories and sections and there's always new topic.
Its a time saver if we have that here it will help interaction in discussion.

Don't expect too much from me, i'm literally new to this although i already create a simple personal telegram bot. Creating such with probably hundred of users wil be different though since i only have limited resources ;D

fully understand, please don't give up before you started, there is big chance that with all the data from Bitcointalk bots it can pretty straightforward process to tweak it and add to Altcoinstalk forum, hope you will be able to do it, fingers crossed.

Having a bot will be very helpful for the users here. I hope we would be having one as bitmover is trying to see if he can successfully get a bit which we can use to get notifications on our interest boards and topics. I believe that as time goes this forum will have everything that is needed for forum members to use the forum easily just like we have them on btt forum. I can't wait to see a bot here.

I think Bitmover should personally contact with admin to do this job as admin can provide all details he need for creating telegram bot. Bitmover is the man who could do this job fairly and I hope if we all support him, he will complete the task in emergency mode.
It should be remember that telegram bot are not totally free and free bot have very limited resources as mentioned by @PX-Z. The first priority is that Admin donate from the fund he got from banners and secondly member who want to donate to make this forum more user friendly.

It would be great and could potentially give notification bot to this forum very quickly but i doubt it will happen that way
All BTT bots are run on donations (I assume)

I already setup the notification bot, it just needs testing at least for several users, but the thing is if admin will allow it since he is doing something like tagging feature like mentions. I set the scrapper for 240 seconds (for the meantime) so it will not be flagged as bot or blocklisted by CF since altt uses it. It also means that it will be delayed for 240 seconds if someone quotes or mentions an altt username.
Here is the sample look of it. Although it already works, it needs a little modifications.

It would be a big relief as I am missing this bot a lot and thanks to Gladiator who made this request, I did not knew a work is ongoing on this bot, I was thinking to pm Ninjastic on BTT that if he could make a bot for ALTT too, but I did not want to pm him as he might be busy or ignore me that's why. But Its a good thing that you are working on this.
I have to check my recent replies after 2 or 3 days to check if anyone have replied me back on or not, I did not make that much posts till now but still I only check 7 or 8 posts for any replies. I might have received more replies on my older posts but due to no mention system I don't know about it.
