Argentina’s President Javier Milei has sent a massive new bill to Congress to adopt a scheme of regulations to advance his goal of modernizing the Argentine state. If approved, the bill would allow Milei to legislate by executive order... Your opinion is greatly appreciated.

The Senates or whosoever the president is submitting the proposal to should be very careful and must put the interest of the citizens first. I think the president is asking for too much seeing how things might turn out when he gets too many powers. To me, I don't see the privatization of State own company as good proposal. I don't understand why he is running away from his responsibilities. When privatization comes in, the government can no longer dictate for the masses, but would be left with just one person dictating for millions.

In conclusion, I appreciate his support for the crypto community, but i don't think he needs these too many powers he is asking for.

he is asking for alot but alot needs to change in argentina, whether it can all be done in a time frame he chooses is another thing.

maybe the approach is to try and seek approval for "everything" and hope that some of it gets passed for now.

i like the proposal of this new asset regulation proposal

Quote
he document further introduces a new asset regulation proposal that allows Argentines to declare ownership of several assets, including “cryptocurrencies, crypto assets, and other similar goods, regardless of who has been their issuer, who is their owner or where they were deposited, guarded or stored,” paying up to 15% on the calculated excess of the first $100,000 regularized. This means the first $100,000 in regularized assets would not be subject to paying anything under the proposal.

Is there an Argentine among us? I'd like to know what an Argentine would say about Milei. Javier Milei is the first libertarian president in the world. Before the elections he had a lot of great speeches against the classical state institutions shaped by an outdated mentality. So much so that I was impressed by many of the things he said and I wanted the same things to happen in my country. As far as I followed the news, he closed many ministries and canceled many of the social benefits that the state had given to people who were accustomed to freeloading. He also promised to close the central bank before the elections. If he does this, an important idea will be tested in an experimental setting.

I think it would be right for Milei to be able to legislate by executive order, because the cumbersome bureaucracy might block him. This law would make Argentina a more dynamic state.

no doubt there will be bureaucratic stubbornness and making changes by executive order might end up happening but it would be great to see if he can achieve his goals by diplomacy and winning a majority approval.
