Title: Naija which way
Post by: Youngkhngdiddy on January 03, 2024, 05:46:15 PM
Rumour wey dey currently be say petroleum product stakeholders and traders don dey peg petrol price to 1.2k naira per liter. Omor, e reach to shout because once we reach that point of sale of petrol at that price, na just a step further into more hardship, food and transport crisis too. For naija wey be say once price go up, then no hope for coming down again.
Currently, see transportation cost wey don dey drive reach 40k from the west to east, imagine the cost when petrol price reach that rumoured amount. There'll definitely be hike in everything, even cost of food because to transport the food sef go dey expensive. Now of all the promises made, which one has been kept. We just dey in a jeopardize state, we can't do anything else beyond lamenting for, dreaming and imagining a better naija sha.

Sometimes when I recite the National Anthem and get to the phrase "...the labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain..." I weep for the country because their labour is in vain. The country instead of progressing is retrogressing because people who handle state powers have no business being there.

Naija which way? This question triggers so many concerns begging for a potent solution. The rise in the price of fuel due to subsidy removal has affected life in different ramifications and this has added to hardship. And now, Nigerians labour so much just to feed, some even walk miles just because they can't afford the transport cost. This is not the promise and never has this been the reason leaders in the past struggled for our independence. If those who fought for self-determination are opportune to see what's happening I am certain they will weep for our country. Our life span and life expectancy have shortened due to the dangers we expose ourselves to just to make earns meet.

E be like say more  days,  weeks  and months they go more things get higher and tougher. As talk am Naija which way we day go for the contri , the increase in price of petrol  is becoming something else,  how I wish the past year the go come back  come represent the present year make the suffer for less small, cost of transportation now are very high, the  masses are finding it difficult to  transport themselves to their daily point of hustle or work , people day hustle day and night just to survive in the contri every little thing for the countri dey add price and some person way day do company work their salary day were him day that one no day add and if marketers come increase the price of petrol  to 1.2k per litre e means say those people way dey transport them self go work go begin treke a mile themselves go meet up work.

I no see dis as rumours again because many people don start to dey implement the rules. Where I dey normally travel go 6k before now e don turn to 10k if not be wickedness, na this wan dey talk said the traffic wey dey make conductor vez na em dey give gala seller joy, people wey dey sell food and fuel dem dey happy for dis price, na we dey do ourself for dis country.
I pray make dis tin no work like dis if not the kind sufferness people will go through e no go funny.

I think  the price Is still stable for now but I no like d wey things dey go for this country, its just as if we don't  even have government. We have the resources  for christsake :P y are we still suffering. Just because  some group of people stop benefitting from the subsidy the price hiked fro #160 to #650 see the margin now . This isn't  fair for the masses, I just hoped for a better  living  to everyone  this 2024 and I believe God will see us through

Yes oh the suffer they increase on a daily e come be like say na backward ever and forward never we dey practice for this contri. We dey hardly hear good news for the contri because say crime don full everywhere. Everybody wan survive the current reality our leaders don put us into. Now self to get job be like person wey wan trek from naija to UK without flight and we know say e no possible and na so e be for naija since say without connection person no go get job then couple with hardship why people no go do bad thing. In fact, even people wey dey work dey cry because cost of living dey increase yet salary dey static no wonder people dey say "cost of living wan kill the living". I attribute all the things we dey face to our leaders because Plato don talk am say until philosopher kings rule any contri na so so troubles them go dey face. To Plato, philosopher king na person wey dey very enlightened, educated and no carry money for mind. So, we hope say philosopher king go rule our contri one day.

Sometimes I sit and ask myself series of questions pertaining to our nation. How did we get to this point that our leaders do not even care about the average Nigerians. The price of things are just skyrocketing on daily basis. The government have no back up plans for the revival of the economy.
We are the giant of Africa but as it stands now to get a visa to Ghana Na weac in the voice of African China. "Police man go see black him go tell you say that thing Na red"

Insecurity everywhere, unemployment, no human capacity development,  corruption everywhere. My friend went to swear an affidavit some days ago and upon signing her papers, the woman signing demanded that she pay some fee which is not accounted for and she has no option than to do so rather than wasting her time and that fee collection was illegal but for the fact that one needs work to be done, she had to pay the fee but on the normal it was not so. These are the works of our leaders who we entrusted power to but they have turned into Money mongers overnight.

May God help us.

The government and their cohort can wake up one morning and make any decision without considering the effect on their citizens because they feel that nothing is going to happen, just imagine when everyone is complaining of the untold hardship that petroleum product increment has caused Nigerians, the marketers are still considering the increment of the said product is this, not a clueless act.

I am much more disappointed by the recklessness of the people at the helm of affairs in Nigeria, the current president promised us that the Port Harcourt refinery would be rehabilitation will be conclude by 2023 December but up till this moment no concrete evidence of the kick-starting of the said refinery, what we hear in Nigeria is promise without good implementation plan, there should be a way to mitigate this problems we are facing here, petroleum products virtually controls everything in any developing country because it is needed in transportation, power generation company and other areas, if any country want to fast track development, this aspect needed to be given immediate attention.

I weep for my country sha. Country wey get petrol in abundance go dey sell petroleum this high to its citizen and making the life unbearable for the ordinary Nigerian. Dis is very bad and if dis thing turn out to be true, I no wan imagine how life go be by then, because many people go give up and will result back to chaos in the streets.

NNPCL don debunk the news say no be so but there’s no fire without smoke, something similar to that must have been discussed underground before the news leaked. I just dey feel say dis thing no fit happen and if such happen, the government go hear am with crisis and protest. And the one wey happen for Goodluck Jonathan regime go be small compared to this one.
