The crypto market keeps growing daily with different crypto projects making way into the market. Adoption happens to be number target of these project owners, as they understand the power behind it. Bitcoin which happens to be the first crypto project and the most popular has gained vast adoption and the price gap between itself and others is very huge. Certainly, there is no project owner to monitor the affairs of Bitcoin since it operates on it's own protocol.
Recently, I have released that investment in altcoin isn't well talked about compared to that of Bitcoin. I also gathered some survey which i found out that so many Bitcoin ethusiast don't encourage or give room for altcoin investment. They only see Bitcoin as the only crypto worth investing on. Sadly, I think this is a bad ideology concerning altcoins in general.
In the crypto space, diversification of investment should be crucial. It is generally said that: "it's unwise to put all eggs in one basket", which makes diversification very important since both altcoin and Bitcoin gives their respective profits. Those that mean that altcoin don't have profits?.
Reasons why some crypto ethusiast don't support altcoin investment
1. Security - from my survey, most of these ethusiast make reference to the security difference between Bitcoin and altcoin. They believe Bitcoin has more security protocol than altcoin.
2. Price difference - this is also another point that gets crypto ethusiast excited. Due to the price difference of Bitcoin and other altcoin, the attraction would be definitely different.
3. Overzealous - I have also come to noticed that most crypto ethusiast are ignorant and overzealous. They just can't accept altcoin due to their overzealous attitude towards Bitcoin only.
I have this feeling that most people who see Bitcoin as the only crypto worth investing are been too overzealous. Sadly, there is no other perfect word to describing them. They see everything positive with Bitcoin, but negative with altcoin.
Why we should diversify our crypto investment
1. Multiple profits:
Through diversification, we can certainly make profits from multiple altcoin projects with time. Our investment should have a say in the amount of profit we get.
2. Avoidance of unplanned circumstances:
It's already clear to everyone that our keys to wallets are very vital. Certainly, people still lose their keys in this 21st century. With diversification, we can easily fall back to other projects when we misplace our keys to a particular wallet.
In conclusion
I strongly support the notion that altcoin investment should be as important as Bitcoin. No one should be less prioritize over the other. Though, it's unrealistic to convince people to invest in any crypto project. It is also important to know that not all altcoin projects are geniune and guarantee profits. This is why proper research is always encouraged.
Note: this post is not meant to support any crypto project or tell people where to Invest their money. I am just trying to be a strong advocate for altcoin investment.
Whatever decision you make is clearly at your own risk.
Please read through with caution and drop your reply without false assumption.

While this can be true, the opposite is also true at the same time. It is a fact that Bitcoin price movement will likely impact alts prices, regardless of how strong their fundamentals are. Exceptions can occur, such as airdrops from notable projects in a sideways market, but stuff like that is rare. Not to mention most of them are short-lived and sooner or later would follow Bitcoin price too. At the very least, there are no notable coins/tokens that move without being affected by Bitcoin, hence why some people think diversification on altcoins doesn't mean anything since you're exposing yourself to the same risk either way. Things will be different if you speak only about alts though, because their fundamentals will play a part there. For example, choosing between ETH or Solana, Doge or INJ, and so on.
2. Avoidance of unplanned circumstances:
It's already clear to everyone that our keys to wallets are very vital. Certainly, people still lose their keys in this 21st century. With diversification, we can easily fall back to other projects when we misplace our keys to a particular wallet.
I don't think this is a good reason to diversify your capital, nor it is related, especially if you invest in projects like ETH and its layer-2 or similar networks such as BSC. Besides, you should consider improving your security practices if you're still at risk of losing your wallet details.

Any type of investment always involves certain risks, and investing in cryptocurrencies is especially associated with high risks due to the strong volatility of the crypto market. Therefore, in order not to “burn out” on the first transactions, we recommend diversifying your investment portfolio.
-
Diversification is a must in any portfolio, whether crypto or otherwise. Why? Because one never knows what one can get in any circumstance of investment. The market can go either way and I am not about to put all my eggs in one basket
-
For the purpose of decentralizing currency, Bitcoin is the top choice because it is highly decentralized, has no leading organization and has a limited total supply. Extreme Bitcoin supporters believe this, for them, altcoins are just jokes: have a transparent team, are poorly decentralized, can be issued indefinitely with inflation of more than 10% per year ::)
However, for most investors, their goal is to seek profits, so diversifying their investments is necessary. Even for crypto to become strong, strong price increases such as TRB, INJ, OKX or SOL in the past few months are necessary. Even meme coins that do not have much use value are being hyped like DOGE and SHIB in 2021.
I don't just invest for fun. I invest to make profit, I support both of Bitcoin and Altcoins because they create opportunities :)

Yes, it can be said to be asset management, which must be distributed to all coins or tokens that have the potential to gain profits, but I prefer to divide it on a fairly small scale because if I divide assets too widely, it will make it difficult for me to manage them.
-
Don't put all your eggs in one basket, and we should do the same with investing.
In the crypto market, most of my capital is in Bitcoin because Bitcoin is safer than all the other altcoins. A small part is for Ether and large ecosystem coins such as ADA, BNB and SOL.
To increase safety, I even use multiple exchanges to avoid losing all my crypto assets when CEX gets hacked.

Altcoins investment has actually been fruitful to some people; it has generated a huge profit for some people, but in the reverse case, Altcoins has also rendered some people bankrupt. I have made some profit by investing in altcoins in the past years, but later, I just realized that it is quite crazy to start investing in altcoins when you don't actually understand and agree to the risk that is attached to them.
Generally, every investment has a risk attached, but there is a high risk of investing in altcoins when you don't actually know that the project you are investing in will turn into a shitcoin within a short period of time.
I decided to take a break from altcoins after experiencing several failed projects and also reading the stories of many investors who lost millions of dollars by investing in some altcoins during the ICO level.
Speaking about investment diversification and not putting your eggs in one basket, that doesn't mean that your diversification should only be based on crypto currency; you can split your capital over other physical assets such as gold, petroleum, pharmaceuticals, stocks, real estate, bonds, etc.
-
If it is related to investing in altcoins, I strongly agree with the importance of diversifying our investments. As you have explained, the importance of diversification for investing in crypto, especially non-Bitcoin. At least we can take advantage of the benefits for higher profits and reduce the risk of losing money when all in on just one altcoin. because we won't know for sure which altcoins will really last a long time and rise drastically. Maybe we can think about top altcoins instead. However, there must still be diversification so that profits can be more optimal. and I personally prefer to keep taking top coins, not meme coins or hype coins.

Dividing assets into several sectors is very good, and that way you can get profits faster, so your trading method is correct. When you have a lot of assets, arranging a place to put all the cryptocurrency you have is very useful because hackers can attack. anywhere and can be a serious threat.

For this you need to do a lot of research projects and tokens, from this more tired than earn, but sometimes you can find gem like TFS or blocx, in TFS still holds tournaments and giveaways that allows you to get some money for participation

Portfolio diversification in cryptocurrencies can be a smart approach to reduce risk and increase profit opportunities. Bitcoin, as the first and largest cryptocurrency, has a high degree of acceptance and liquidity. However, different altcoins provide unique opportunities and innovations.
It is important to consider the nature of each investment asset, conduct detailed research and consider your strategy before committing funds.
-
diversification should be done with coins that are not correlated. Whats the essence of diversifying when a drop in one brings about a drop in another. Its like holding same coin with different name. Yes many, if not all cryptocurrency are affected by Bitcoin price movement but recover and different pace. There are different types of coin like AI, privacy, speed, Dapp, Smart contract, stakes etc. You can choose to get various coin from each section or better still don't limit your diversification to cryotocurrency alone.

That's right, all investments will have advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, we have to choose in detail or correct the coins we will invest in first so that we don't fall into big losses. If not, don't blame people if we find losses. My advice is to invest with a lot of knowledge and don't rush to sell it, buy coins listed in CMC number 10 above because these coins are definitely good. but we just have to know the market movements.

So far, no one can provide a guarantee that the top ten coins on CMC are good and will provide profits because, basically, cryptocurrency price movements depend on demand on the exchange, and of course, when users increase, it will make the price expensive. But what you need to pay attention to is a coin with a very large amount of supply that will find it difficult to increase the price.

It’s is important to do your research first before investing in any project, this will further broaden your knowledge about the particular project. They are more to know than just investing, know the market cap and supply of the coin. This is where knowing how to interpret the coin market cap becomes relevant. Before investing, it is important to research the coin you are considering investing in. This includes understanding their financials, their business model, their competitors, and their growth potential. You also want to research the broader market trends, economic indicators, and any news that may impact the industry or sector.
While it is important to do your due diligence, it's equally important to avoid analysis paralysis. Don't spend too much time researching and overthinking your decisions. Remember, investing involves risk, so it's important to find a balance between research and action. In short, the amount of research needed before investing will depend on the individual's level of comfort and experience. But generally, taking the time to do your research will increase your chances of making informed investment decisions and potentially earning a positive return on your investment.

Diversification is an absolutely natural process, and what's more - Necessary !
If you say that you should invest only in Bitcoin, then in the real world, it could sound like "invest only in gold, everything else is risky investment". Doesn't that sound silly ?
Besides, there are plenty of examples from the world of altcoins, when they show a higher increase in investment returns than bitcoin. The simplest example. September 2023-January 2024. Compare, for example, how much you would earn if you invested, for example, 10.000 dollars in Bitcoin and in Avalanche ? Did you do the math? And what do you think of the advice to "invest only in bitcoin"? :)

I don't believe in altcoins anymore because altcoins have a lot of scammers.
The more altcoins there are, the more scammers will come, and there are also lots of scammers on the Ethereum network.
We still remember when the ERC20 token was first created on Ethereum, there were lots of scammers who held ICOs openly in various forums and events.
This is just part of my experience as to why I don't like altcoins and it would be better for me to choose Bitcoin once for the asset that I have dreamed of since I first got to know cryptocurrency.

No one can avoid something that might not go according to our wishes in following crypto; the same goes for those who don't like the matter of using altcoins. It must be admitted that currently everyone wants to try to get profits properly and correctly, but there are also those who do it by cheating. It must be admitted that with the growth of altcoins, it is inevitable that there will be scams, but if you want to analyze it well, then there are still altcoins that are promising and can fulfill your desire to invest in them. But when compared with bitcoin, of course, I really agree that bitcoin is the main choice and cannot be avoided.

Investing in Altcoins is good it's just that we need to have a little limitation in allocating funds into them. Moreover Altcoins can now develop by adapting to the latest technology. There are RWA Altcoins, AI based and many more with certain categories according to their objectives. So I highly recommend putting money into Altcoins that have substance in placing them on the market.
Asset diversification is a benchmark that guides us to continue to be careful in managing fluctuating assets. So don't just blindly follow the hype. For beginners the basics of investing often don't pay attention to the important points and instead fall into shitcoin which are generally more manipulative.
-
but if you want to analyze it well, then there are still altcoins that are promising and can fulfill your desire to invest in them.
If you continue to see the market situation like this (dump), I better stay quiet and do not choose Altcoins at all. :-X
Even to analyze good Altcoin according to people, I am also lazy to do it because I see the red market so lazy.
So according to you, what is Altcoins good to invest when the market is red??
I want to know your choice that is very desirable from your heart.

Altcoins will definitely dump too, and it is better to wait until the price stops going down because that is a very good moment to buy as much as you can. Although there is no guarantee that the price will go up again, at least you have the opportunity to buy coins at a cheap price.

I believe, we all have right to choose whatever investment we would like to invest for the future and how we go about them. I think, there are some investors who wouldn't accept your notion that altcoin investment is as important with bitcoin due to their bad experience towards it. They would always prefer to invest in bitcoin that having altcoins in their portfolio.
For any investor who will find it necessary to invest in altcoin, that means he or she is ready to take the risk and accept whatever outcome(profit or loss) their altcoin investment gave to them. To escape the losses of altcoin investment, it is important to have diversify investment pattern

It seems I have a different view on this. Personally, I still prioritize Bitcoin as the main investment priority in cryptocurrency. But that doesn't mean you should underestimate altcoins. In fact, it is very natural to have different views because after all, each person will definitely have a different experience when investing in Bitcoin or other crypto, or in this case altcoins.
Actually, this is not a problem and what we need to pay attention to is what our strategy is to continue to get profitable and worth it results when investing in this crypto business. whether it's in Bitcoin or in altcoins, as long as we really understand the most appropriate strategy, diversification, and also quick and appropriate steps to anticipate all kinds of risks, this will affect the results of our investment.

Your analysis is very true, friend. We are waiting until the price will stop down, but we also know that it is difficult to determine. If you can be sure, obviously it is a very awaited moment, and we will continue to buy as much as possible according to the funds we have.Buy at a low price and sell later when the price is high; it is indeed the desire of all who carry out investment. But it is not easy to determine appropriately, so one must always do speculation, which is always looking for the smallest possibility to be able to suffer losses.

Diversification is a strategy that allows crypto investors to reduce the risk of their investments. Diversifying across several crypto assets will allow investors to make a profit on several crypto assets and allow them to avoid too severe drops in one crypto asset. But even though diversification is a good thing, crypto investors also need to understand that diversification will reduce their potential to get high profits on one crypto asset, because they invest in several types of crypto. And this is why not many crypto investors want to diversify their investments because they think that it will reduce their chances of getting higher profits, even though it will reduce the risk of their investment.

Some reasons will force people to think about doing it alongside Bitcoin. It is true that the long-term investment will be in Bitcoin, but for the short term there are alternatives. The most prominent reasons that make people think about altcoins:
Quick Profit: Some altcoins pairs rise sharply in the short term, such as SOL in the past months.
Bitcoin transaction fees.
Deposit and withdrawal fees.
staking Availability.

Absolutely, diversifying investments in cryptocurrencies, including altcoins, is a strategic approach, especially during bullish market phases. Altcoins can offer varied and potentially lucrative investment opportunities, complementing Bitcoin's dominance. However, as with any investment, thorough research and understanding of each asset's unique risks and potential are vital. I recommend reading this blog on some of the Best Ways to Trade Crypto in 2024(https://r100k.com/blog/best-ways-to-trade-crypto-2024). Its got some great insights

A lot of people in the space already knows what they stand to get when they invest in altcoins and what they can also get when they invest in bitcoin. It is very clear and distinct that this two projects are very different and can’t be interlude. People already knows that altcoin investment is for the weak and those that don’t have the mindset to stay in the market for long to reap good profits out of their investments. Most of them are coming to become rich overnight which is not suppose to be so, but due to over ambition, they end up making the wrong decision.
Altcoins are likewise good investments if you invest in the one that is worthwhile. What makes it risky and people running away from it is the high number of those that turns to scam in relation to those that becomes good projects. Like you said, everyone should their research and invest in the one that they feel is worth investing into and putting it in mind to agree with the outcome of the project.

You're right, in fact altcoins dump with more intensity when Bitcoin dumps and especially the low marketcap altcoin face severe dumps in such times. Whenever, I see a severe dump I try to accumulate those altcoins that I trust most and which can move upward again when market gets a pump.
One should be careful from accumulating pump and dump coins in such times because they get huge dumps in such times and won't get pump again for months or forever. It's better to stick with the well known altcoins and accumulate those instead of the useless ones which won't give you any profit at all.

I completely understand the perspective and angle from which you are coming. The ICO protocol, initially intended to serve as a catalyst for new projects, has now been labeled as another form of scams, driven by the selfish interests of some individuals who believe they are clever. Unfortunately, the efforts to combat these ICO scams haven't been entirely effective, leaving every investor to make their own decisions when evaluating new projects.

Why we should diversify our crypto investment
1. Multiple profits:
Through diversification, we can certainly make profits from multiple altcoin projects with time. Our investment should have a say in the amount of profit we get.
IMO it's not about doubling profits, but taking the average profit obtained from the diversification carried out. There are some coins that may in practice experience losses and losses, but other coins experience profits, so that between one and the other an average profit is formed.
This leans more towards the second point, where diversification is more about protecting against losses and trying to prevent losses that are too large. I myself agree with this strategy, especially for altcoin lovers, diversification is mandatory.
-

Diversifying on crypto investment is more favorable to investors who are very aware of the market situations of altcoins. Despite that altcoins also generate profit for some investors, it's not all investors that gets lucky. So, why diversifying, is better to have a good knowledge on how to track the success of the project you are investing on and also know when to sell and when to buy.
