Title: SEC twitter account hacked - Unauthorized tweet saying bitcoin ETF approved.
Post by: bitmover on January 10, 2024, 04:39:02 PM
This is so bizarre  ;D

Sec account on twitter was hacked, SEC posted a tweet claiming that the regulator had approved spot Bitcoin, but 15 minutes later it turned out to be false.

I think SEC never had similar problems or such a pressure to approve an ETF before!

Now it seems like the mighty SEC are not privacy and security cautious since the attack occurred not based on any fault from X (Twitter) but from the fact that a phone number linked to their account was gotten from a third party and funny enough, the SEC account didn't have any 2FA at the time it was compromised

Truely now all we can do is to watch how they react to this pressure.

Lol desperate times calls for desperate measures. Well if it was my country they would have said snake ate the files.what a shame, a body thats supposed to protect her citizens from losses and manipulation are doing same. Heroic Hypocrites are worse than the villains.
Lets see how long they can continue giving excuses and postponing the inevitable.
I'm curious what are they waiting for? Like they stalling. Lol movies be getting to my heads lately.
On a serious note though, future traders should bs cautious of their trade. The next couple of hours is gonna be really volatile.

I think sec is partially to blame for this...

They took to long to approve the ETF. They could have approved or rejected asap... this drama took too long.

BTW, etf was already approved!
