Title: Local boards
Post by: summonerrk on January 11, 2024, 05:32:57 AM
Hello everyone.
I came to the forum yesterday and I don't see the local boards here yet. Is there a similar division by location here?
Thanks for the answers.

Welcome to Altcointalks.
The local board is located at the homepage of the website.
1. First, click the home icon which is at the top left of your screen.

2. After clicking the icon, this should appear
(https://www.talkimg.com/images/2024/01/11/sbneD.jpeg)

3. Then scroll down the page till you see this
(https://www.talkimg.com/images/2024/01/11/sbSTj.jpeg)

4. The local board happens to be the last board on the lengthy page.

I see that you are a Hero member, which means alot. The community also has rules that are quite different from those of Bitcointalk. Karma (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=657.0) happens to be one of them. Incase you've n't gone through all the rules, kindly click the Help icon which is seated next to the Home icon on your top left, or use the last Link i dropped at the end of this reply. I hope you enjoy your stay here.

Greetings, summonerrk This forum is set up similar to BitcoinTalk, allowing you to personalize your view by hiding boards you're not interested in. To reveal Localboards, click the addition sign on the right side of the panel. Like Tribal chief mentioned, there's something called karma, comparable to BTT's merit but with some differences. If you have pressing questions, feel free to message the admin. He is active and here to assist

Of course it would be easier to find the local board if you mentioned the country.  Because your local boards are placed at the bottom of this forum, you can find your local boards from there.

Welcome @summonerrk to your second forum home after bitcointalk. :)

It is important to understand that he is still not familiar with the altcoinstalks atmosphere so asking that is very natural, but others have helped you show where the local boards are.

I am sure he has now found it. ;)

Just like bitcointalk, they are at the bottom of it, you just have to scroll them down. Speaking of local boards, there is not that much local activity in our local board. I just want to see more of our local interact there even though they're here, they don't want to discuss much in the local board.  :-[
But I hope soon that many of them will also dropby and have some talks about local discussions related to crypto as well and the news and current events in our country.

Local boards are arranged in the same way as BitcoinTalk. You will surely find everything if you visit every place here accordingly. Many of you have already given a lot of advice on this, maybe you have understood and the country board you live in is here and you can find it easily.

The division is not based on geographical location, but rather by language. Even if you are not a citizen of that country, but you speak that language, you can participate in the discussions.
If it does not appear, you probably accidentally clicked on the minus sign next to the local word.

I just want to see more of our local interact there even though they're here, they don't want to discuss much in the local board.  :-[
You may find the forum division different from bitcointalk, but everything will change due to the increase of more people.

You can start making new topics if you notice a lack of activity on your local boards. At the end of the day, if nobody is making new threads, no discussion is going to happen. I remember seeing more or less the same thing on another forum, although not as bad as you described since some members are still making new posts. Things change quickly since new topics are regularly. Obviously not spammy topics, but quality topics that can lead to in-depth discussions (at least span around 4-5 pages). Not to mention the topics are interesting for most people. If you can do the same thing, the activity on your local board might improve.

Just like that famous saying, be the change you want to be in the world.

This is for you to add activities mate maybe in the past there are fewer locals from your country but now that there are lots of teleported account from our old house then maybe the activities in localities will increase eventually but like what said above me , create new topic and engage with your countrymen .
from there you will surely see your locals growing.

and about the topic , I think OP had already got what answers he needs  maybe better to update the thread and consider locking in the sooner time.

I think asking such question isn't wrong even if you're a Sr or Legendary member on another forum. Everyone needs some time to understand the user interface of a new forum and some people who believe others know much about the forum try to make threads like this to get some answers from those people who are well aware about the forum and its interface.

Summonerrk is a good member at that forum and he's a great artist as well. I think he will need some time to understand this forum and its user interface. The main question has already been answered as the forum has local boards just like Bitcointalk forum.

It is free to ask anything as long as it makes sense. Although he is a hero member on the other forum, he may feel unfamiliar with altcoinstalks. Sure, as a hero member, he should have enough knowledge. But it is not a mistake if he wants to ask to other members. Just respect it, mate!  ;)

Well, I think the answer is clear enough. I assume the discussion begins to be out of topic. I'll lock it!!
