Yes I am right, if you are a gambler then of course you gamble in your house and discuss them. So never make the mistake of not discussing gambling or other illegal activities in front of your children in your home. Because we know that children always grow up with their family's manners and things in mind. So when you gamble in front of your baby it will definitely develop and at some point he will be interested in gambling. When the child becomes a teenager his attention will come to gambling and instead of getting money he will start stealing from home and may indulge in many bad deeds just for the purpose of gambling. So it is of the utmost importance that all fathers should not discuss such gambling and other vices in front of their children. So you should never gamble in front of children in your home, it is one of your most important things as a person.

It happens but I don't know how often. Do you have the numbers/stats to back this up? I've been in this situation and I've gambled with kids of my age back then but the good thing is that we didn't turn out that way. I know of some that lost their allowances and tuition fees through gambling but never did they steal (at least not that I know of). They get in debt for sure but that's the extent of it.

So it is of the utmost importance that all fathers should not discuss such gambling and other vices in front of their children. So you should never gamble in front of children in your home, it is one of your most important things as a person.
Care has to be taken not to show many characters or expose them to talks that are too mature for them. Children because of how easily they learn need to be shielded and not exposed to these things especially your own children while young or other younger children under your care, supervision or who look up to you.
It is also an act of irresponsibility if you do not care about gambling in front of underage and younger children who are not up to the age of gambling. If they are your children or children who look up to you, by gambling in front of them you are endorsing the habit.

I know when a gambler becomes addicted he steals money from his house and goes to gamble. There are many children who know about gambling from a young age and if their financial greed works then they definitely do this.I have seen many teenagers in my area. And some people take loans to gamble, they must make a big mistake and if those money cannot be won by betting and lost, then he must be under a lot of pressure. Although young teenagers can't take much credit, I have seen many times that he gambles by borrowing money from his friends. However, if a person becomes addicted to gambling till adulthood, he will never be able to get out of such addiction.

When a child loses his allowances and tuition fees to gambling and then runs into debt, who faces the consequences? Who pays the debt? How does the child go about getting back the allowances and tuition fees?
Gambling can lead a child into different negative attitudes like telling lies to parents or guardians to extort money from them, selling some valuables to get money, and sometimes making parents/guardians give them allowances and tuition fees again after they have run into problems. Getting a loan as a child is very difficult, especially since some countries prohibit a child from borrowing.
For instance, in Nigeria, a child can not access a loan facility, and coupled with the fact that a child doesn't have a source of income but a dependent on his parents/guardians makes the parents/guardians susceptible to the problems the child brings after gambling. Thus, a child should never gamble because that will generate more problems for society and some too, no doubt, might even resort to stealing if the chance is given.

You are wrong, being a gambler doesn't mean you discuss gambling at home. Who do you discuss gambling with when you are the only person who engages in it in your home? Some fathers who are gamblers don't disclose such to their wives not to talk about their children. Even wives who gamble hide it from their husbands so, saying someone who gambles must discuss it at home cannot be true because there are exceptions.

If it is a regular practice of a family to wash their hands before eating and then eat, then the child who grows up in that family will develop the habit of washing their hands before eating. If a family is indifferent to the matter of washing hands before eating, then the child who grows up in that family will also be indifferent and it will be seen that he sometimes sits down to eat without washing his hands, this is family education. Children now are like sponges, what they do is do and repeat what others tell them, and if we start playing in front of them, of course they will learn and they always do things that Sometimes they shouldn't, but I don't Know how to sell it well, sometimes this is not Good , because if you don't see it with your parents, then you can watch it with the Internet , or you can watch it somewhere else , this will always happen, children will Always learn things, and they are also very self-taught. and they do whatever may be possible, the Only Harmful thing is if a child tries to play secretly and with the parents card or money.

Even in my country there are some uneducated gamblers who become addicted to gambling without thinking about the future of the child and without ensuring the future of the child. In this case family background definitely plays a very important role i.e. if there are addicts in the family from the past then the guardians in that family are gamblers and they are busy gambling in front of their children. The children of these families later became interested in gambling themselves after being watched by their parents and developed into a full-fledged gambler.

I think this particular problem is actually kind of society base because some societies, gambling seem to be a normal thing to the extent of a whole family actually getting involved in the act including the little ones and I say this because of the experience I have encountered. For me I think there should be more restrictions to this happening but how can you? the whole thing is evolving to that extent that exposure to things is not being restricted anymore. Before now people were actually conscious of displaying some sensitive things that may be end up influencing the child because the mind of the child is like an open slate that hardly comes off when trained to mimic those characters he has seen.

This is misleading. Gambling can be stopped even by an addict. It is not easy because addiction generally is so difficult to stop. It takes processes for it to be stopped. This can be likened to smoking and alcoholism. Though difficult to quit it can be stopped. This is the same with gambling. I know of a friend who was addicted to gambling and at one point almost took his life after losing big to gambling and today he doesn't gamble anymore. So, it is wrong to say that an addicted gambler cannot quit since there are exceptions.

I agree. It will be the height of irresponsibility to discuss gambling-related content or even gambling in front of children. Children believe that whatever an adult does is right and so they emulate everything around them in ignorance of the implication. Thus, certain things including gambling shouldn't be exposed to them.

Whatever is accepted by society is not a crime. Gambling can be regarded as a crime in societies where the law prohibits it. In my country, it is legal to gamble but underage gambling is prohibited. So, it will only amount to a crime when a child is involved in gambling. This should form a basis while children shouldn't be taught to gamble. Would you consider alcohol a crime because someone is a drunk? This is the same with gambling, the fact that some persons are reckless gamblers shouldn't mean gambling is a crime. Such a generalization will be unjust to decent and responsible gamblers.

Children are still in the process of forming mentally and other things, so when they are introduced or listen to gambling it will be something that is very vulnerable for them, so I don't recommend it at all.
Maybe we like gambling, but as parents we definitely don't want our children to follow in our footsteps, after all we want the best for them.
At that age what they see, what they hear can quickly stick in their mind and if it's something negative that they see and hear, I'm afraid it will form a character that is not good when they are older.

Yes, it is not always the case that a gambler will steal money for gambling. Because there are many of those who are minor and save money from their food or other expenses and use that money to gamble. But the behaviour can also change depending on the place and environment. It is true that we should avoid discussing gambling in front of young children. Otherwise, if a child regularly hears gambling related matters from his father, he will gradually become attracted to it. At one stage those children can gamble. Parents have no choice but to be vigilant in this regard. If they are aware such problems are less likely to occur.

Every society has its own way of life. In some, it is normal for parents to gamble in front of their children, and they can even provide them with financial support to do so. But in my opinion that is wrong because it will eventually cause them problems if kids develop a gambling addiction from an early age.
While it is a major problem in some societies for people to gamble in front of children, my environment is a perfect example of this, here you'll see how some addicted gamblers turn to stealing, selling their properties so they can gamble, and engaging in other abusive behaviours that may ruin their lives and children learn knowledge from what they see, will it not be an issue if they follow this habit as they get more mature?

You are corrupting your child's mind if you do this he will have the impression that it's ok to spend your money on things like this and risk it for the chance to make some from money and if he sees you winning or doubling money he will lose interested in studying and consider taking up gambling because its easy to make money here than studying and taking a decent job.
Children imitate what their parents are doing if you gamble in front of your kids this is like encouraging them to gamble which is not right.

They may enjoy it from time to time, but they may not have the tendency to become addicts. Education is key IMO and that goes for a lot of different things. I live in an area where betting, gambling, smoking and drunkenness are restricted by age and are not permitted in public places.
Even though I will soon graduate from undergraduate studies, I don't have the mind to play gambling in front of small children or in public, even though many of my college friends play betting but I don't follow it.
It's better for me to focus more on cryptocurrency and my undergraduate final exams than to follow those who play betting, especially betting and gambling in front of small children, this will definitely result in punishment from the authorities (if anyone reports it).

It is good to keep your gambling activities a secret from your children. This is why I hide my gambling activities, and I only discuss with my friends when I am not at home. Children are fast learners and they catch up things fast. I had an experience with my child and this is my experience that will tell you.
It's not just the radiation problem, but if you think the radiation from tube TVs is very dangerous, that's possible.
But it's even worse if my child takes my smartphone to watch a YouTube video with the children's game title Chocomelon and always watches it for more than 30 minutes or even hours, don't you think that's dangerous?
The problem of radiation from the screen is only small (as you said) but the bigger problem is being "addicted" to playing on your smartphone to watch YouTube or other videos. :(

No, I don't gamble and I have a principle that I don't gamble and don't want to gamble because I was born in a family that forbade gambling and I married my husband who also forbade me to gamble.
I also suggest on this topic not to gamble in front of children, let alone using a smartphone because usually (my child) when I use a smartphone he always asks me to watch YouTube videos. :(

I agree with your school of taught of teaching the difference between good and bad for anyone to make a better choice rather than teaching only good and prohibiting the bad. It will make it appear as if there is something unique being hidden in the bad. But this ideology doesn't work in every environment and it doesn't fit some infants in their tender age

Gambling should never be done in front of children, as gambling is addictive. People who become addicted to gambling have suffered losses, so you should never discuss gambling in front of your child as the cause of that loss. The doors of children's knowledge are very tender now because what they hear and see is what they can follow in the future. Children will be busy with education at present and not gambling, whenever they move towards gambling, the future is very likely to be bad. Therefore gambling should never be discussed in front of children.

No problem mate, this is my experience when I raise my child so that he is not too addicted to smartphones and YouTube.
This is just my instinct as a mother who wants to save her child from bad behavior regarding smartphone addiction.
Many parents also say as you said, when they grow up, maybe they will also find their own way to learn more about life, such as cryptocurrencies, gambling, sports or maybe fighting with their friends because of trivial things. :P
It's okay, I'm also still relaxed here because this is just a mother's personal view to stay away from gambling but for children under 2 years old it still doesn't make sense to gamble online but the other effect is addiction from playing on smartphones. :(

@Bitcoin_people I am quoting you for you to get the notification and I want you to make some corrections in the second line of you thread because there is a minor error. And that is by the way. And what you have said is very correct by not discussing gambling related and other illegal matters with your children at home but the big question always arise when such issues are raise is that why about the peer group of the child will you stop them from discussing those things with your children? And if you child goes out to play with other children then definitely they most discuss those things with their peer group so if you deprived them from knowing those things in the home, they will know it from outside. And it is good to expose your child to know some setting things in the society but it is your wisdom to know how to handle them in a good manner. Tht is when you have told them about the gambling stuff and you counsel them so that when they are discussing with peers then they would not be easily influenced.

Considering that children of this generation are too smart, it becomes wise not to tell them or show them anything about gambling. If you teach them you have indirectly drawn their minds to gambling activities and even after telling them the good and bad of gambling, these children will want to experience it themselves. From experience, whatever you tell a child not what they do and they end up doing what is in their.
So, gambling-related content and activities shouldn`t be exposed to a child. Children don`t think like adults and so might find it difficult to comprehend what they have been told and in the end act according to what they are seeing and not what they have been told.

We have found two features gambling have: it gives fun, through it people try to make money. I see nothing bad if the kids will try to get some fun through gambling. For them gambling is another form of competition. There is nothing bad if two kids compete who is right/wrong, better/stronger, won/lose. Now about money - children have little idea how exactly money are earned, spend, how much really something cost and how item or service value is build. They dont care about money a lot, as parents provide them everything. If kids get introduced gambling as some kind of fun activity, then I see nothing bad in it.

A child cannot have fun through gambling because they are too young to control their emotions. Secondly, where will a kid get money to gamble? A kid gambling means he will rely on his parents/guardian's money to gamble and it is not proper. Gambling requires a mature mind yet most adults find it so difficult to gamble responsibly then what guarantee do you have that a kid will not be addicted?

Children are exposed to competitions but gambling nah. In gambling, you must lose something when you don`t win but it's not always like that in competitions. In schools, children compete among themselves for fun and there is nothing wrong with doing it but when we talk about gambling it means a child will have to stake on something and expect a return. This can be detrimental to the child`s well-being.
