My people I said make I bring dis wan here. this wan na how you go take return back to the topic after you don post. before you go see sey If you post finish dey go take you back to board na you go con find the topic again but now if you follow dis procedure you go just remain for the topic without any wahala again.

Thank you for clearing this, I was abit worried because when I didn't know the update anytime I posted my post will automatically take back to the home page which is somehow annoying and since it's a new forum didn't know much that's the best part about curiousity, I actually saw a similar thread somewhere when the admin gave directions on how to actually counter this but seeing that you have made it known here in the local board is very good and also like the part that you included image directions too.

Thank you chief for sharing dis information and I find am really helpful. Whenever I create a topic or comment on oda people's topic, e dey always return me back to de particular board. Based on say na new forum, I come dey reason say naso e be but with dis info, I go correct am for my settings.
I also notice de same thing with sending PMs, wen you send message, your sent message no dey save for outbox, you gat go message settings go set am so dat your sent messages go begin to save for outbox.

Yes. Once you clicked on profile -> Modify Profile -> Personal Messaging and check ✔️ 'Save a copy of each personal message in my sent items by default' box. It will only set it to default.
But if you do not check it, you can still save the sent message to your outbox. To do that, check the box in the image below anytime you are about to send PM to anyone.

Whew...finally somebody gave a solution to this. Thanks a bunch. I experienced this issue several times and didn't know that it can be fixed in the settings. Permit me to write the guide for those whose image may fail to load for one reason or another. Here it is
Step one - Click on Profile
Step two - Hover your cursor on Modify profile. In the drop down menu, click on look and Layout.
Step three -In the list of options, tick the box " Return to topics after posting by default."
Step four - Click on change profile in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
That's it.

Thanks OP, you know say many of us just come here based on say mixers no dey allowed to operate for BTT, and our CM decide to move us come here to continue the good work wey we dey to help promote the company, and many things still dey strange here. I believe day as time dey pass by, together we go help each other dey familiar with this forum navigation, so that e go dey easy for everybody. Them say, who them show road, no go loss. Since na e I don dey wonder say why I no dey fit go back to the topic wey I reply for, I no know say na for setting e dey.

Charles-Tim don already share how to set the “save sent message” but to be honest ehn most of the things for this forum just too Dey complicated.
The first week wey I enter the forum nah all those “auto save”, “auto return back to topic after replying”, “receive notification for pm”, “get notification for some topics I’ve replied to (nah only one I don receive for this one)”.

In other way round, you can click on the attachments and other options the tick on the box and post your comment or post after writing. You can check the following steps to do that.

OP no need for me to write more on this illustrating how you can be able to view your post or topic as other members here have already done that. I as well had that challenges but I had to start doing my own research on how this platform works. I began to open all the features on my profile one after the other to read and see for myself. It was while I was doing that I saw the solutions to all the challenges I was facing in navigating through this platform. I will urge you to take out time to go through the platform and learn more about the platform. You can follow the steps as illustrated by members here to to guide you through but you will have to do the rest of the learning by yourself as that would help you stay put.

This one is a bit more stressful because you’ll have to do it everytime you’re making a post.
But if you just go through the one the Op presented you won’t have to check those box at attachment whenever you’re making a post cos it will already be checked (provided you follow op’s tutorial).

You are always free to senior, I believe na the essence of dis forum be dat, to educate one and other with different points of view and na like dis we go fit develop dis our board.
Step one - Click on Profile

The platform just dey complicated with many things wey no clear and I go really appreciate am if you go fit point me to where I go find those "auto save" topics so that I go learn more and also update the settings to my preference. The outbox auto save wey I correct na when I send pm, I notice say e no dey save for outbox. When I begin look around, naso I come see where to tick for the message settings to automatically save sent messages.

Thank you for sharing this useful information me self never really go find this one out because i no too dey familiar here and how e dey work but this post I come like this help me to go just change some of my profile sets so that when i post e go carry me back to the previous page wey i dey. Like for dey i don dey worried about this thing wey dey always happened to me onto say you go post and the thing go disappear carry person go another page like e dey sucking and exhausting.

Thank you for the information. I will try this setting. I have been battling with the issue of my comment not returning to the topic after it is posted. I normally use the settings bellow the comment-box footer, but that setting doesn't remain on default. After posting the first comment, it automatically goes back as not returning to the topic.

Inside life. Sometimes you would just think have learnt the basics stuffs but left with the critical and technical ones without realizing how backwards you are yet to learn about the primary basis.

It is worth knowing that you do not have to do that. I noticed it today that you can click on 'attachments and other options' and check the box of 'return to this topic' anytime you want to post.

Omo, thank you for this wonderful information we Dey appreciate he really help me ooo, even me I do find it difficult too to find the topic way I Dey but with this your directive he done they useful for me.

Well there is no argument here because what I said is not out of point from the op and I presented that step because in case the creator nor the thread or the commentors have not done that while commenting they can just click on it to return to the thread again. Whether it is a cumbersome process or not, it is part of the process to return to the forum. I can even create a separate thread for that but that is not needed since the this topic nis here so I used it to make comment as well. So I don't see a bad thing here. If you are not using it others might use it so don't discourage others.

Any way thank you very much for this update, I just dey change am now for my profile. I don dey think why the problem but I no fit come up with any solution as e be say I still dey very new to the forum.
